not that they ever really had it!

I was in there this morning, there was not one thing I would even have considered trying on!

And the kids clothes - OMG - they fell into two categories, those that would look good if you are over 70 and those that would make your dd look like a tiny prostitute!!

Very odd.

They need a new model. The clothes aren't great, but some could look better - she doesn't do them justice. Fat ankles, short legs and big middle. And plain. She looks like she ought to work for Evans. A size too far in the attempt to distance themselves from anorexic models. Are they skint? Have they had to let Twiggy and Erin go?

LawdyMissTutter · 05/02/2007 19:58

mousiemousie · 05/02/2007 20:05

does haemerroid cream work just as well, I might actually try that before shelling out £65 for the freeze stuff

shame I don't have piles so will have to buy some specially. Will report back. Hopefully will not be snatching last tube from grasp of Jodie Kidd. Luckily I pack more weight than her so fancy my chances if it comes to a wrestling match over the stuff.

CountessDracula · 05/02/2007 20:06

well I have never actually tried it but I gather it does!

flutterbee · 05/02/2007 20:10

Well I'm 29 (only just) shop at M&S and I am most definately not an old frump.

Mind you I'm also very overweight so I'm actually not allowed to have an opinion on fashion, unless it involves a marquee.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2007 20:10

LOL, indeed flutterbee.

CountessDracula · 05/02/2007 20:11

rubbish
you can have an opinion on anything you like!
I am hardly a sylph myself

flutterbee · 05/02/2007 20:15

flutterbee · 05/02/2007 20:16

Now please tell me if a fat woman has a valid opinion on fashion would the idiots in fashion world put us in dresses like those!!!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2007 20:18

ROFL Flutterbee!

drosophila · 05/02/2007 20:20

Agree that everything posted was pretty awful so I had a look on their site cos I thought it must have some nice stuff and I saw loads (admittedly it would't suit me). Usually use M&S for the basics but I have bought the odd gem there.

You guys who hate it where would you normally shop?

CountessDracula · 05/02/2007 20:23

well if they don't have anything that would suit you that is pretty crap isn't it?

I used to buy things there but will not be bothering for a while!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2007 20:23

Flutterbee...monsoon do up to size 22 if you can afford it....dont know your size....but this is one in stock

ScummyMummy · 05/02/2007 20:25

Great thread. Truly hideous stuff.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 05/02/2007 20:26

drooooool....

drosophila · 05/02/2007 20:30

Well it wouldn't suit me cos I am a hippy 39 year old but some of hte funky stuff looked good for the younger kids.

Per una just seems to stay the same year in year out.
