Damn you Hush, and your lovely styling. Everything from the order was too soft and floppy and relaxed for me. And I officially look shit in elastic waist dresses. So that's £10 well spent on shipping and returns. Hmm

Hopefully · 07/07/2016 14:51

I'm an Autumn and I look shit in beige. I'm a very dark Autumn, look best in deep shades. I have to accept a degree of compromise in summer!

Dancergirl · 07/07/2016 15:01

Thanks laconnerie going from what you say and the article it looks like I am cool winter. So I should avoid beige right?

MrBoot · 07/07/2016 15:10

Hopefully I find Hush clothes very hard to wear. They have fantastic stylists working on their website but actually a lot of the clothes are quite poor quality and very expensive for what they are and their sizing is way off. Elasticated waist dresses make everyone who hasn't a VB proportioned body look really wide.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 07/07/2016 15:18

I love Hush, but their sizing is all over the place. It's generous that I can delude myself I'm a small size 8 in their stuff - but when I try on a 10 in Top Shop, I can't get it over my thighs.

KanyesVest · 07/07/2016 15:38

I love the idea of all the hush stuff posted, but I'm too short and dumpy to look anything other than short and dumpy in it Hmm.

Is it too awful to start asking about winter layering? I'm so bloody cold all the time I'm already dreading the end of our alleged summer. Has anyone seen any nice silk vests, t-shirts or shirts? I've most of uniqlo's merino stock (the heattech just makes me sweaty and clammy) and saw a nice cashmere cowl neck on la redoute which I might invest in.

I've been Bodening.

Extra 15% off today and I had a £10 voucher from my birthday so pretty bargainy.

SuperFlyHigh · 07/07/2016 19:21

Lol Bodening taybert like that phrase! Grin

Dancergirl · 07/07/2016 20:08

I love the dress taybert and it's got good reviews. Might try it!

CointreauVersial · 07/07/2016 22:54

I do like that dress, taybert - it was on one of the blogs that I follow. But I worry about bra-strap bulges and knicker lines showing - there's absolutlely nowhere to hide!

My Hush stuff hasn't arrived yet. I ordered the azure and black striped ruched skirt AND (because I am also a sucker for Hush styling) the blue teeshirt it was modelled with. I've just remembered I've only ever ordered from Hush twice, and on both occasions I kept precisely nothing. Hmm

Nearlyadoctor · 08/07/2016 07:37

I've also been considering that dress Taybert.

Ordered the same Hush outfit Cointreau earlier in the season, lovely quality skirt, T a bit thin, but I found the skirt just a little too short for me. Ended up with the Tara dress instead which I have worn loads so far. Really hope you like skirt and T as the colour is fab.

Not that I've worn it yet but the Barbour Coat I mentioned upthread for a bargainous £100 has nearly been paid for- put an older coat I had that was too big so hardly worn on local Fb selling page and got £80 yesterday so feeling very chuffed !!

CointreauVersial · 08/07/2016 18:54

Nearly - awww, we could have been Hush twins. Grin

My package arrived today, and I think it's a 100% hit rate and I'll be keeping both items. The skirt is just long enough for casual wear with flat sandals, and the teeshirt, although thin, hangs nicely and is a brilliant colour for me (makes my eyes look super-blue). I look nothing like the cute human twiglet on the website, of course. And no way are they worth full price.

Nearlyadoctor · 08/07/2016 19:17

So pleased Cointreau ! At sale price making me wonder whether to reorder as I loved the azure blue colour so much.

Hopefully · 08/07/2016 20:47

Glad someone had Hush sale success cointreau!

I am quite ridiculously pleased with my new birkenstocks. I keep having to get them out and admire them. In my head I will look something like this when I wear them (except in some non-black monochrom combo).

CointreauVersial · 08/07/2016 21:15

Ooh, I love the coppery colour, Hopefully!

deutschland83 · 08/07/2016 21:38

So... It's been a funny old day.

A very nice young man asked me out in the gym jacuzzi. I have never in my life sucked in my belly so much getting out of anything GrinGrinGrinGrin

Thanks tummy control swimsuit!!

Another decade before the next time.

In other news, do I want to do a hush order for my October hols? (Hot)

Are longchamp pillage totes over? I think one might be handy for travelling.

JohnCheese · 08/07/2016 22:23

Love the sound of the blue tee Cointreau. Would you link again for me??

Oh deutschland deutschland deutschland did you mention a bag by name? Eek. JackandDiane will roll up and....... Well, there may be words Grin

No shopping to report. Was in a real life Zara shop today. Oh dear is all I can say. Heaps of sale tat. I say that as a Zara fan. Heaps of tat.

JohnCheese · 08/07/2016 22:24

But deutschland: Respect for the nice young man moment. Phwarr

CointreauVersial · 08/07/2016 23:08

I never knew the gym jacuzzi was such a hot pick-up opportunity. Yay for tummy control.

Le Pliage is a classic, and totes handy. I shall be folding one into my holiday suitcase.

Here's the tee, JohnCheese. I would say it is generously-sized. I'm a 12 and the Small was fine.

MrBoot · 09/07/2016 00:19

Coin do you mind me asking what shape you are? I love the skirt and t-shirt you ordered but remember returning the infamous Tara dress because it made me look so bloody wide.

ps. I've name changed in case you think I am a weirdo checking out your shape :)

MrBoot · 09/07/2016 00:22

Also is the sheer crew tight? I have a flabby tummy and can't wear clothes that cling.

Deutsch - did you agree to a date? What a nice confidence boost.

CointreauVersial · 09/07/2016 00:38

Grin Hmm.....I would say I'm tallish, fairly straight figure, not much of a waist. The teeshirt doesn't cling at all over the midriff, but it is very lightweight fabric. Quite silky. The colour, though....

MrBoot · 09/07/2016 00:44

I am curvy (in an overweight and not a sexy way). Take size S in Hush as their sizing is so generous. Was very stuck between size S and M in the Tara dress - needed S on top but M on the bottom and I found it way too short (and I am petite).

The t-shirt is in my basket but I'm hesitant about ordering the skirt as I have thickish legs too. I am painting a very attractive image of myself...........
Is the skirt only suitable with black tights? The reviews say it is longer than normal (good!), what shoes will you wear?

I was going to say sorry for the inquisition but I am shameless :).

deutschland83 · 09/07/2016 08:07

Breaks the thread rules again Blush

No acceptance of the date DH and the kids might have objected Grin

Off to town today to have a look at the sales, I'm not convinced there will be much.
