I've been on a bit of a spree the last week or so. Ordered this top from Ted Baker (which was royally panned by most on a thread I started about it!)

These threads are so bad for my bank balance, I've ordered two dresses from uniqlo, stripy one for holidays and black one for work.
Floisme, I've started looking at autumn stuff too, now that the sun has disappeared; really like that Whistles top.
I had to admit defeat re the ruched skirts - returned boden and hush ones as I just looked too big in them. Might have another try for winter if I manage to lose that stone I keep talking about.

I really love that jumpsuit, Cointreau.

It is hard to get excited about summer clothes as the rain lashes against the window.

Was dropping a bag of stuff into my local charity shop and got these for £2. brand new with tags attached, in my size [little bargain dance]. One pair of holiday shoes done!

Ordered these black heels I've had my eye on for ages as they were half price :) Need some for work (yes DH, I do actually need them!) so am well pleased.

I've been, boringly, adding to my stock of all-black work clothes that I will need for my new job.

On the plus side, I have two M&S boy's school jumpers - merino wool, machine washable, size 11-12 fit me perfectly (nice neat fit, rather high v neck, and for once not too long for my short arms) - and only £12 apiece.

Less successful was a pair of black wide leg jeans from Boden. I love a wide leg jean, but this really wasn't it. They are simply bootcuts for the wide of thigh - so boringly frumpy I can't bring myself to wear them.

What I am looking for, really, is a pair of tapered leg, slightly cropped trousers like these only black. Has anyone seen any? I'm looking for a slightly slouchy, masculine vibe.

Hello again- have just ordered new birkies from sarenza- haven't used them before so please don't tell me if they are crap.

Finally decided to send boden ruched vest back- is just too low at front and back. Have the skirt in black but think will wear more in Autumn.

Anyone know when sales will start- have a white stuff voucher to spend!

I got navy wide leg silk trousers from Jaeger (sale) for my holidays.
I won't be wearing high heels with them though.
They are nicer than the photo, honest.

I've wanted a tulle skirt for quite some time like this

But I can't think of an occasion when I would wear it though. I hardly ever go out and when I do it's always skinnies and heels type of places. I work for a mostly male engineering company so polo shirts and jeans most days.
Is there such a thing as a 'swishing around the house when the DCs are at their dads' skirt?

TheVeryThing and Dancergirl thanks re Whistles top. I've only seen it in black so far (which I don't want) but it looks typical Whistles i.e. I start of all, 'How much??' 'For that??' And then I try on and feel like Sofia Coppola.

Can't Boden see how many of these they are selling compared to some vomit inducing dresses like that flowery icon one and make more? Grrrr.
