Life is shit, husband just left, got a girls night out Saturday to drink my sorrows away, is this outfit too much? I'm thinking along the lines of look what your missing you bastard but I don't want to look like I'm for hire either!

There's no such word as slutty.
Slutty isn't a THING. No woman is slutty.

ItGoesWithoutSaying · 18/05/2016 10:07

If you can manage it without the bra showing go for it. As you sound like me (need a padded bra to get a cleavage so bra-less ain't an option) you may need to try something under it.

I have a dress that is v low cut and I tacked-in a small piece of lace across the lowest part to cover the bit of bra showing. Instantly looked a lot better whilst still giving "good cleavage"!

Enjoy yourself!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 18/05/2016 10:08

Yes it's sultry!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 18/05/2016 10:08

Wow blithering what the fuck?!
Don't go out with your cleavage out because of you get raped it'll be your fault because 'men are like that'
Did you really just say that?!!!

Mummyoftwo91 · 18/05/2016 10:11

Blithering shall I just go out in a tent then?

OP posts:
00100001 · 18/05/2016 10:11

bltierhing really? Hmm

So it would be OPs fault if she got raped???

eatsleephockeyrepeat · 18/05/2016 10:12

I don't have the bust for an outfit like that, but I do wear my fair share of outfits that make many people Hmm ...but I've never really got that.

Why do so many people think it matter what people on a night out think of you? Sure, dress to come across a certain way in a job interview, the office, at an event, at the kids' school; but on a night out you're there with your friends, and they already know you! So if you're not looking to attract "the right sort of man", in fact if you're not bothered about what any one of those strangers in the street thinks of you and you just want to feel good, be with your mates and soak up the vibes.... why not wear whatever the hell makes you feel amazing??

Sometimes I just want to express a particular facet of my personality; sexuality, class, quirkiness; sometimes I want to feel like my vision of my sexiest self. And if you can't do that in this life when can you?

If I see someone in a questionable outfit out on the town I think "meh, I don't know you". After all why should they care what I think?

KnitFastDieWarm · 18/05/2016 10:12
  1. 'slutty' is a stupid concept designed to put women in their place. wear whatever you want.

  2. you look great, although I think a black vest top (or a contrasting sparkly one) under the dress still achieves the same effect but with less risk of flashing the public.

  3. have a good night with your friends!

pictish · 18/05/2016 10:13

Bit much blithering. Don't be daft.

ICanCountToOneHundred · 18/05/2016 10:13

blithering what the actual fuck? Men are like that, show them a bit of cleavage and you will get raped.

00100001 · 18/05/2016 10:14

This is the problem with words like slutty.

If a woman wants to sleep with 10 men in a week, why the fuck shouldn't she? If man wants to sleep with 10 girls, he's hailed as a "stag" or "a hero" and "waheeeeeey"

A woman does the same thing? "Slut" ... "slag" ... "whore"

It's despicable that women on here are asserting that the OP is being slutty. Shame on all of those that are agreeing.

Mummyoftwo91 · 18/05/2016 10:15

Eatsleep yessss to everything you just said!

OP posts:
eatsleephockeyrepeat · 18/05/2016 10:15

IMO wear it if you feel like you want to feel in it!

Wow at some of the pps - blithering especially - that is NOT cool.

PatMullins · 18/05/2016 10:15

Blithering that is a fucking terrible thing to say.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 18/05/2016 10:16

Oh come on, Blithering DID NOT say that it would be her fault. She said that it would be something people would say. There is a huge difference!

Mummyoftwo91 · 18/05/2016 10:16

I only asked on here as my family and friends know I'm having a hard time and might not be honest with me! Some people just get so deep it's only a dress lol thank you to the people who gave me their opinions and tried to help and blithering you can suck on my big toe Smile

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 18/05/2016 10:16

I think when you're on a thread to ask for opinions and people give them, others saying to ignore them isn't really the point.

Blithering is clearly good at making risotto. All that stirring...

LetLoveWin · 18/05/2016 10:17

Totally agree with eatsleep

WorraLiberty · 18/05/2016 10:18

Fuck me blithering there are no words...

scampimom · 18/05/2016 10:19

What's wrong with sluts? Some of the nicest people I know are self-styled sluts!

Go out in whatever makes you feel good - show off that fabulous figure and great hair and enjoy your friends' company. Be a tigress, rahhhh!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/05/2016 10:20

Hello op. Crikey you look AMAZING. your figure is fab. I'm sorry your weight loss has been because of heartbreak you poor woman Flowers

I say wear whatever the fuck you like. But the sad reality is that you will attract attention from the Neanderthal types in that dress on a night out

ThatsMyStapler · 18/05/2016 10:21

blithering... really? you must be new to MN and the whole world if you think that its the fault of the woman (or man) who gets raped due to what they are wearing

ODFOD Biscuit

scampimom · 18/05/2016 10:21

Oh and you know what the leading cause of rape is? Rapists.
