Fashion is like that! Think of the most hideous or ridiculous thing that nobody would want to buy or wear, then promote the hell out of it until everyone wants one!

A few examples spring to mind:
Jeans full of holes.
Trousers that are falling down so that your pants are showing.
Onesies.
Thong knickers that show above your jeans waistband.
Ugg boots.

OMG.... I clicked on the link and I was thinking 'why have I done that I don't really care, theyre just shoes' ....... but ive looked.. ive seen them... I wish I hadn't... what on earth are they? did someone really sit there and design those? its not a joke is it? they really genuinely are horrid.

They obviously are for a roman soldier, when he wantsto show off in front of his friends or impress a girl. Such a shame the design is 2000 years late.

I can see that they're ridiculous. And that write up, and this thread made me laugh. But I would actually wear them. Or, at least try them on, and umm and ah a bit, before deciding they're probably too expensive for what they are. However, I own these...
