They have my size with free shipping and returns. I might order a pair and send them back just for a laugh

WhatamessIgotinto · 03/03/2016 22:53

I've just sent the link to a friend who said she was looking for some new 'bedroom shoes'. These could be the very ticket!

novemberchild · 03/03/2016 22:53

I want them in brown, for that authentic Biblical vibe.

RobberBride · 03/03/2016 22:53

Iheartkingthistle did you end up liking the silver boots? Did your DH forgive you?

Back to the boots. OP can I ask what on earth you were searching for that led you to these beauties?

katemiddletonsothermum · 03/03/2016 22:53

Grin hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Whatamess

BreconBeBuggered · 03/03/2016 22:53

That's the design of somebody well pissed off who has long since left the company. Either that or they were bet 8 squillion pounds by their workmates that they'd never get that one through the system.

anklebitersmum · 03/03/2016 22:54

Oh. My. Word. Someone was paid to design these monstrosities Shock

"optional fuzzy socks"

No, no a thousand times NO and I wear these

BigQueenBee · 03/03/2016 22:54

I bet Bjork has a pair.

katemiddletonsothermum · 03/03/2016 22:54

Crying. I am actually crying.

Lweji · 03/03/2016 22:54

I bet they were designed by an Apprentice team. And managed to blag them to M&S, who bought 5 units to try.

katemiddletonsothermum · 03/03/2016 22:55

This has to go in Classics!

RubyFlint · 03/03/2016 22:55

They might come down further in price, say £50... What if they were the only shoes left in the world and you HAD to wear them? Grin

BigQueenBee · 03/03/2016 22:56

It's a well know fact that if you charge ££££'s for something, it becomes desirable.

Lynnm63 · 03/03/2016 22:56

Fuck me the charity is the halo trust don't they clear land mines, checks date is it April 1st?
Never thought there'd be an upside to having lost a limb but only having to wear one of these might just be that silver lining Grin

Paulat2112 · 03/03/2016 22:56

hahaha i thought it couldn't be that bad! Then i clicked on the link! I actually said out loud 'wtf is that?!?'

TheSilveryPussycat · 03/03/2016 22:57

Now I am an old gimmer, and my leg muscles are no longer what they were. How do I know? The nice stylish ankle boots with a small stack heel (I can't wear higher than that) turn out to be Too Heavy for me.

My Lovely Man has just bought himself some DMs to go abroad in. But I think they are too heavy for him - he's now getting muscle twitches in the ankles - though he Refuses to Listen.

Yes, those boots look pretty hideous. They might look slightly better when they're being worn. But perhaps it's the weight to protection ratio that is the selling point for us BabyBoomers. If I go somewhere I don't need to look all that stylish, but need something a bit sturdy, perhaps they'd be the ones.

Though probably not Grin

WhatamessIgotinto · 03/03/2016 22:57

I'm also struggling to think of what on earth you would wear these with. Smart suit? Dress? Negligée?

ijustwannadance · 03/03/2016 22:57

If you are going to design something where a percentage of sales goes to charity, you would surely design something that will actually fucking sell and make money!!!!

Who in their right mind would pay £200 for what is effectively half a pair of boots?

BigQueenBee · 03/03/2016 22:59

Heather Mills might wear them, are they vegan?

suzannecaravaggio · 03/03/2016 23:00
Shock
Jux · 03/03/2016 23:00

That is the absolute embodiment of fugly, surely.

katemiddletonsothermum · 03/03/2016 23:02

Clarks - take note. THESE are desert boots. First of all, they're made of suede. Secondly, people actually wear them.

anklebitersmum · 03/03/2016 23:02

On second thoughts I'm going to run these past DD1, 10, who has to wear lace ups for school and has a keen, keen wit Strictly speaking they cover all the uniform requirements.

I might even tell her they're en-route Grin

ColdTeaAgain · 03/03/2016 23:03

can't believe I'm still looking at this shoe

I'm baffled. If you wore them in winter you risk getting soggy optional fuzzy socks if you were caught out in the rain. If you wore them summer, one would get sweaty optional fuzzy socks....or do you just omit the sock for summer wear?

When the fuck did they think people would wear these?
