Ahhhhh, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness...if for you that means the joy of cosy jumpers, retrieving your favourite coats and jackets from the back of the wardrobe and an excuse to buy new boots then this is the place for you Smile. Come chat about clothes, make up and accessories, budgets from Primark to Prada. Lurkers, newbies and old hands all welcome.

QueenC that jumpsuit would cause a divorce!!!

Longislandicetee · 13/09/2015 14:04

Hello everyone! It's been a very stressful 48 hours (with no end in sight) so I come bearing links.

Whomever on here got me into looking at jumpsuits I owe a massive hug to! Waaay out of my comfort zone and would never have considered it without this thread. Friday night saw the debut of Michael Kors studded jumpsuit on a girls night out. Not quite the drama of QueenCs earlier link but dh said it was very sexy. Wink. I wore my Brian Atwood caged sandals and felt very edgy. please don't come and tell me I can't do edgy!

I bought these glitter R&B platform heels yesterday afternoon and wore them out to dinner and theatre last night with this Temperely top and black trousers.

So after a glamorous weekend, I am back to normal. I have to fess up to wearing this Theory wool jumper with j crew matchstick jeans. I messaged a few Voguettes with a pic of me wearing that jumper and everyone said send it back. Dh said I looked nice so I kept it. Hangs head in shame. (Ahem, there's an Outnet order that I need to try on later Blush).

Hope you're all having lovely Sundays. Big hugs especially to QueenC and Shop. Flowers

On way home from a fab shopping trip to London. Mostly browsing round Selfridges and HNics had forgotten how much I love HN Knoghtsbridge, more compact and less overwhelming . Am loving all of the burgundy around. Didn't buy much. Found these which will look great with my loafers for work. Bought a great red lipstick from NARS and wore it to go out.
My Sandro dress and Whistles courts were perfect for dinner, felt great.
Back to reality and roast lamb hopefully

KittyHello · 13/09/2015 20:21

Sounds like a fab weekend Dry I may have walked passed you yesterday as I was in Selfridges for a long time. Ended up buying a cape from MDutti, will link later, it's slightly out of my comfort zone but I like it.

Your Friday outfit looks very foxy Blingy bet you rocked that look well.

shopafrolic · 13/09/2015 21:11

You looked great Dry - just fab.
So hospital tomorrow. Not sure what the deal is about phones, Internet etc so will be back when I can.
Big love lovely ladies x

libertydoddle · 13/09/2015 21:11

Yes both Dry and Blingy sounding very glam. I love those R&B shoes Blingy.

Shopping update...

MK silk shirt Shop already said she thought this might be too acidic for me - she was right! It's a return

Etoile IM skirt I really wanted to love this but the tie front is all wrong on me Sad

Jigsaw dress This looks fine on me and is totally work appropriate but I feel completely 'meh' in it so it's going back.

Hobbs dress This looks nice on but the material feels horrible and very cheap. Disappointing.

I have been stalking a couple of Marni items (see marsha I do pay attention to what you say Smile) and given my lack of success with all the above I decided to order this dress today. Fingers crossed it works - I think Blair linked it for Mara a couple of weeks ago. Not 100% sure the colour is right but I keep coming back to it so worth a try.

I also bought (and kept!) an extra fine merino V-neck navy cardigan from Uniqlo. Tried on a few Ines item in store the other day but they either felt scratchy or didn't fit well. The exception was this dress which felt like I was wearing a hug - so snuggly. Unfortunately the navy was too dark for me and the off white made me feel like I was wearing my grandad's old nightshirt Grin so I didn't buy but I keep thinking about how lovely it felt on.

And I have also decided to return these trainers. I wore them around the house this weekend and they felt uncomfortable - so many things bug me I'm starting to feel like I am developing sensory issues with age.

Just popping in quickly send Flowers and positive vibes to Shop.

have had a quick look at links - Blingy bet you looked super sexy in that outfit.

Dry pleased you had a good time. Am loving all the burgundy too.

Queen hope you're feeling better now. Loving the Chanel bag chat.

Lib how disappointing having to return all those recent buys but no point keeping if they are not right. Fingers crossed the marni frock is a keeper as it's lovely.

As we have had visitors for the last few days I have no fashion news - except yesterday's ootd was a pair of judgy pants hoiked so high they reached my chin. Popped into my local corner shop (10am ish) and there was a lady wearing full bedtime attire- pj's, dressing gown and fluffy slippers purchasing fruit shoots and cakes breakfast for her dc's. Before you ask she wasn't ill and even funnier was that we were all chatting away as if everything was completely normal Grin

Drywhitethanks · 13/09/2015 21:58

Love the Marni dress from the Outnet Liberty.
