One of my friend's sent me the Sali Hughes book to read while I recuperate - Pretty Honest. I recommend throughly. Really good read so far and I'm learning a lot.

I bought a black skinny silk scarf from Atterley. Hoping it will be a useful accessory for nights out with my Zara jacket.

oh, lovely Shop but don't over do it. I have a skinny silk black paisley print scarf, I bought it in Topman ten years ago as none of the womens shops had what i was looking for at the time. I will happily steal mens style if it's what i'm looking for and womens stores do not provide

OOTD has been monochrome: black Paige skinnies (not really a fan of these), white ancient Ralph Lauren shirt and black Uniqlo merino jumper. And my black suede Balenciaga ballet flats when I went out of the house.

Why don't you love the Paige skinnies Linus? Have your MiH arrived yet?
One of my lovely neighbour's turned up with cake from a local food fair that's been on today.
Wearing black gap skinnies with my Yak wool black Vince sweater. Had my new grey Superstars on for the park. Still Love those Stans Linus maybe on my October purchase list.

I like the style of the Paige Hoxton but the fabric is just a bit thick and the black not quite right. Maybe I'm just not a black skinny kinda woman, too rock chick which I am definitely not.

Highly likely! I don't think I've got a rock chick bone in my body.

I think, if anyhting, Goth would suit me better. When I was 17 I dressed up as a Punk/Goth hybrid (didn't know the difference) for a school party and my outfit of black pleated mini skirt, torn fishnet tights, borrowed Dr. Marten's, black nailvarnish, loads of black eyeliner and tons of hairspray got me more attention from the boys in my year than in the whole of my schoolyears combined.

Evening. Just had a darn it moment when I realised that all my cases/ bags aren't quite right for overhead use. The case I have is 3cm too big. I'll have to check it in the gauge thing won't I? I doubt that BA are lenient.

Have a what to wear / what to pack issue too.

So, as usual, she took my advice. I am to be credited for getting her out of those horrible Roberto Cavalli dresses and Day Glo fake tan.

However, I did not tell her to wear those horrible shoes.

Me, anything rock chic or too masculine.
I also love the flippy floral skirt with jumper, thick tights and ankle boots .....I just can't pull it off

Well dry, whenever I've spoken at the UN my outfits have been 'less is more'

I love the Isabel Marant look but it doesn't work for me and in summer I like the whole boho vibe but that really doesn't suit me.

And I love the whole simple Supermodel On Her Way To A Casting look but as I am neither superslim nor supertall that look is a nono for me as well.

I can't do theatrical, at all. No flounces or statement necklaces or flurries whatever they are.
