shop if both you and ds are ill can dh not take some carers leave? Or can you sleep in another room and let dh deal with ds overnight?

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 25/09/2015 14:54

Shop I agree with QueenC - it will impede your recovery if you have to get up in the night etc. I hope you both feel better soon. That you are wearing your leather leggings is a good sign - you make a very stylish patient.

I also love those stans Linus. And glad to hear your APC sweater is a success, I love mine that I got from Lib.

Speaking of which I am wearing Lib's Agnes B heart shirt today, with peg trousers and old Jemima Vine flats, plus new Woolovers long cardigan. A bit smart for my day but never mind.

Alexa makes that miu miu dress look quite wearable actually. It also comes as a shirt - currently being feted as the in thing - Lara you are clearly ahead of the curve.

Mara glad to hear your course has started well and you are enjoying it.

QueenC I haven't heard back from the consultant yet which is a bit odd. But I think I have diagnosed myself as Natural with a hint of dramatic Grin. I looked at your NI board but I think it is a bit girly / pretty for me.

FedupNagging · 25/09/2015 16:07

That doesn't sound great for you Shop; hopefully your Dh will give you a break over the weekend. Bernice is right, you won't recover quickly if you're not managing to get much rest and are exhausted.

Lovely looking shirt Lara - the fabric looks so soft.

Blingy nice shopping - love the back of the Roland Mouret dress.

Dry I have a few pairs of lace anklets which I sometimes wear with shoes and trousers - similar to these and sometimes with boots that are a bit too tight for socks. They are much nicer than plain pop socks. Topshop used to do them but last winter I ended up buying on ebay.

FedupNagging · 25/09/2015 16:38

I have been dithering over whether or not to buy a pair of grey heels - primarily to go with either black or navy dresses.

I had my eye on these in the spring and they are now on sale.

These are really nice too but I think too light in colour for winter and to wear with black?

Tried these shoes last week and they are really comfortable but not sure about the decoration - probably a bit too blingy for me.

I do wonder if it is actually possible to get heels (that aren't wedges) that are comfortable to wear, fit wide feet and are fashionable and don't make me waddle when I walk?

HappyGirlNow · 25/09/2015 16:50

Just posted on the Insoiration thread as was relevant but....

Love this styling so have just ordered this Zara cape

HappyGirlNow · 25/09/2015 16:52

Rahh Inspiration and its the second blog down on wit

LinusLovesBretons · 25/09/2015 18:32

happy I pinned that WIT cape last night as I absolutely adore it. I would look rubbish in it but I love the look all the same.

lara I love that VB shirt. VB is a brand I love on other people (like Isabel Marant) but never looks quite right on me. I think because it has some rock chick vibes that I lack totally.

fedup will you wear the grey heels to go out? Otherwise I think all pairs are a bit too dressy for everyday wear.

shop I really feel for you. I have been there to a lesser extent and looking after DC on your own when you yourself are ill is horrible. (((Hugs)))

dry I love dresses and opaques as well but it's not quite cold enough to start wearing them. In the morning yes but by the afternoon ot has warmed up enough to start sweating. Wink

I have started to drink less alcohol during the week (so usually 4 days instead of just the two fast days) and I can really feel the alcohol on the evenings I do drink. I have had one cocktail and one glass of wine and I feel a bit tipsy already....

HappyGirlNow · 25/09/2015 19:15

She looks great in it doesn't she linus ? Why do you think she wouldn't suit it? I'm tall and relatively slim so hoping the Zara one looks ok.. But I don't think Laura whatshername is very tall and she looks great in hers...

LinusLovesBretons · 25/09/2015 20:08

happy I am short (maybe not as short as her) and quite slim but not nearly as slim as her and I'm a pear so I think a cape wouldn't suit me.

Watching Contagion with DH... I am going to have to have a shower and use a anti-bacterial gel on my hands before going to bed. I'm no germ phobe but might become one after this.

AmberNectarine · 25/09/2015 22:42

I've met WIT and I'd guess she's 5'1 and a size 6.

MarshaBrady · 25/09/2015 22:45

Oh yes love that, esp with that top underneath.

MarshaBrady · 25/09/2015 22:50

Lara love that shirt, looks perfect. I had a phase of buying lots of Vanessa Bruno stuff, miss it, going to get back into it.

Thought I had lost my watch tonight, I hadn't I was so relieved to find it. Has such a high value to me. My wedding and engagement rings do too but I never take them off.

Vogue question: other than your w and e rings which piece of jewellery (including watches) would you really not want to ever lose?

Ran home a few times this week, nearly on a roll!

Longislandicetee · 26/09/2015 07:25

Marsha Grin as you know I am an expert at losing jewelry! I would be devastated if I lost w&e rings. Dh does this face Hmm because I tell him I would be more upset about my wedding ring which is a plain thin platinum band (his response "well if I had known that I wouldn't have spent that much on the e ring". Not the point dude! Not the point!)

Currently I can't find my Tiffanys 1ct diamond earrings and I am upset about that because dh gave them to me when dd was born. I would be upset if I lost my Tiffany diamond cross as I bought it as a present to myself when I reached a career high but it is replaceable. I did lose my Gucci watch (if you remember last years saga, this was Gucci 1) which still upsets me because i bought it myself when I got my professional qualification.

I would be really upset if I lost my tanzanite halo ring because it's unique and irreplaceable (6ct high quality tanzanite surrounded by 2ct of diamonds). Also a tiny blue topaz and gold ring which cost about £40 but it was the first bit of jewelry I was given by a boyfriend 25 years ago. He is a knob and I don't talk to him but I am sentimental about the ring. Finally, my Swarovski charm bracelet. Dh bought it for me about 10 years ago. The last time I saw my dad he stroked it to indicate he liked it. I think I would shed an ocean of tears if I lost this bracelet.

AmberNectarine · 26/09/2015 08:15

I don't have that much jewellery, but I'd be sad if I lost this - have already lost and re-bought the damn thing once! Also my Tiffany bone cuff because it is my favourite piece of jewellery ever.

QueenCardi · 26/09/2015 09:01

Morning. I've got loads of jewellery and would be sad if I lost any of it. Aside from engagement/wedding/eternity rings I'd be most upset if I lost my charm bracelet as all the charms mean something. Also the diamon bracelet dh bought for a wedding present and the first necklace he bought for me that I wore on our wedding day.

The grey mint velvet boots had their first outing last night and they were so comfy and haven't given me blisters. I need a new navy going out top though as the one I have looks better with trousers rather than jeans.

BerniceBobsHerHairAgain · 26/09/2015 09:14

Hello, I'm not madly sentimental about jewellery but I do have some bits passed down from my Gran (which in turn belonged to her mum) which I would be sad to lose (I don't wear them much but aim to pass them on to DD), plus also an opal ring made by my grandfather which I wear a lot.

Marsha well done on the running. Argh at potentially having to wear running shoes all day but I can see you styling it out!

Btw I think Kate Bosworth is a natural, I like the way she dresses. I was told for NI - Liv Tyler, Sienna Miller - so quite boho looks.

Blingy love the sound of your halo ring.

Amber I just googled the bone cuff - that is divine.

Lib what happened about that cape you ordered? Did you like it?

Fedup are the grey shoes for going out? I like the snake print ones best, quite like the embellished ones. They all look pretty high. I am not sure about comfy heels but I don't wear them much so not the best person to comment.

These are a wild card but what do you think of them?

Otherwise I would think going for a mid heel would be more comfortable.

libertydoddle · 26/09/2015 09:22

Morning all.

Bernice the cape was a pre order and due to arrive in Oct or Nov. I am a bit worried that by the time it arrives it will be too cold for a cape!

Need to catch up properly. Off to get my hair done with shop's hairdresser.

I don't have any jewellery that I would panic about losing. I am not especially sentimental about any possessions really.

libertydoddle · 26/09/2015 09:30

Oh and blingy if you lost that halo ring I think I'd have a heart attack on your behalf!!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 26/09/2015 10:55

the only piece of jewellery i would weep for if i lost is a gold and semi precious stone bracelet that was my mums. everything else can be replaced but not that

MarshaBrady · 26/09/2015 11:37

Interesting I have realised I just don't have any jewellery and b) the watch could be replaced so my attachment to it must be due to a strong reminder of an important time and gift, from dh.

Longislandicetee · 26/09/2015 12:37

I think that's exactly it Marsha for me it's about the moments they reminded me of, rather than the jewelry itself (halo ring aside). I am very sentimental about jewelry for this reason. Dh suggested bling the other to celebrate my work good news. I really want this Boodles bracelet and I could get it but I want him to get it for me. Except he doesn't know I like it. And he doesn't like me telling him what I like because then it's not a surprise! Confused.

FedupNagging · 26/09/2015 12:37

I am not too sentimental about jewellery either. I would definitely be upset if I lost my pandora charm bracelet as dh and the dc's have given me all the charms some of which are decidedly weird. Would be slightly miffed if I lost my engagement ring but as I'm not that keen on it any more, would have an excuse to replace it

Linus and Bernice yes, the shoes would be for going out, car to bar, wedding reception sort of thing but as I don't wear/buy high heels much, they need to be fairly versatile and timeless I guess. I ebayed most of my high heels last year and only pair I have kept are too high!

Nice grey boots - definitely going out boots Bernice.

Its a gorgeous day here but I have been gardening so ootd is jeans and tatty breton. We are out tonight for dinner with friends so thinking flares, sam edelman rockstud alikes and, um, not sure! Still need a peasant blouse!

FedupNagging · 26/09/2015 12:40

Ooo, love the boodles bracelet Blingy. You have some stunning pieces of jewellery.

Larastheme · 26/09/2015 16:10

I'd be gutted if I lost my bracelet ,I wear it every day,i have a few watches i cant bear to think of losing, in particular a lovely Audemars piguet royal oak offshore one , given too me by dh a few years ago, as well as my Kelly watch given to me by my father when I graduated from school,I don't wear it much but it reminds me of him, in fact all my jewerly have a very sentimental meaning to me, as they were given by loved ones,

Those of you intereted in cape What about this Bruno one? I like how its styled here, and doesn't look like it would drown those with petit frames,

I downloaded the netset APP, and I'm lost, don't know whats the whole purpose of it honestly and it only leads you to NAP to purchase, which I find very limiting, and all that belonging to a tribe thing is very silly I think, I think I will delete it,as I haven't checked it in a week now, and the icon on my phone is bugging me!

bernice those boots are actually nice,

Hope you are feeling better shop,

Larastheme · 26/09/2015 16:47

Anyone checked gucci SS16 show? It has generated a lot of buzz on the Internet,I like some of it, not all, some pieces looked too much and resembled a mashed up of different styles, but what I mostly like is how Alessandro Michele didn't follow Giannini footsteps in keeping the Tom ford legacy flowing, and is doing his own thing, its so refreshing not to see the glam sexy tom ford- esque outfits for once,

I really like this one, love how he used the Gucci web band,
