star blouse. Perfect for me

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/09/2015 21:04

that's a pretty blouse queenC very you

I'm trying to plan an out fit for tomorrow as it's the first day back and i want maximum confidence , well as much as I can achieve anyway since i can't wear any make up yet still. I think i'm going to wear my new button thru denim mini, a long sleeve black tee, black ribbed boyfriend cardi, black leather biker boots and a grey slouchy knitted hat with fingerless gloves and a tartan backpack to carry my stuff in

QueenofCardigans · 20/09/2015 21:05

boots. I hadn't been planning on buying boots but I just saw these and was taken with them. Great taupe/mole shade and they've got furry bits inside!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 20/09/2015 21:11

oh, lovely boots a good neutral colour, i can see them working with lots of different things, especially blues i think

VivaVegas · 20/09/2015 21:52

Morning,

Good luck for first day back One, outfit sounds good.

conscious have never been to Porto but dh raves about how how nice it is and great quality of life. Thinking about it for potential sans dc weekend trip for my next big birthday. I also love port! Do you know it well?

Nice things planned for my last 'day off', going for a mooch around Liberty then meeting an old friend for lunch at the Wolseley. Ootd is white ts skinnies, gap pale blue denim shirt, grey toga boots and grey cashmere theory v neck.

Dry love love your Zara top, tempted to go and try it on even though could be wrong shape for me, 100% cotton too.

maradesbois · 21/09/2015 12:24

Shop how are you doing? Your friends sound fab.

Hello all
I got engaged in Porto Conscious, great city. DH proposed to me in the sea as the sun was setting over the beach, so romantic. I love all the different parts to it, the old bit, the port houses and the beach, just lovely.

Cutest cat Amber , my kids are desperate for one.

Great top for you QueenC, can really see you in it.

I bought this green polo this morning, think it will be good for layering and maybe with suede Zara mini.
Had to go to the shops to buy tights for the DDs, they go through them like nobody's business. I'm trying M&S ones this time as the Next & H&M ones have not worn well.

Sorry, dull rambling post, still on recovery from Sat night!

On hols. It is pouring rain. I have brought lots of musical DVDs. Perfect weather to introduce DD to the joys of Mary Poppins and Annie.

I have decided to return the Marni dress. I love it but it requires that I buy too many other things to wear with it. It's the type of thing to get once I have my wardrobe a bit more sorted. I'm going to spend the money on boots instead. Will link options when the research is done.

Morning so rainy, got very wet walking across the park even with an umbrella.

Lib have a lovely holiday.

Stokey I really like the green.

Conscious welcome back, Porto sounds lovely.

I ran home from work last night! Spent the whole day thinking about it, like I did when I wfh at least I'm getting paid to think about it

It was good apart from citimapper which took me down a dead end at one point. Need a high vis vest. Nearly have a clothes system at work, but coat is trickiest as it gets colder will probably have to carry one home one night.

Stokey · 22/09/2015 10:36

Good work on the run Marsha

My Dds love Mary Poppins Lib, we have it in the car. They're also fans of the Sound of Music, think I'm going to get them Oliver next or Bugsy Malone, love that film.

Right, I need a coatigan or chunky cardie. Anyone seen one? Must be warm, wintery colours - no browns please - and under the £100 mark. World on a stick?

As an aside, have wasted all morning chortling over pigGate. Whether it's true or not, it's the sort of thing Twitter is great at.

Stokey · 22/09/2015 10:37

Warm material rather than warm colours... Sorry bit unclear there.

libertydoddle · 22/09/2015 11:05

Pig gate is making me laugh too stokey. I am not a DC fan but I actually feel a bit sorry for him. This will never go away.

Marsha well done on running home.

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 22/09/2015 13:31

How far is it Marsha.

Have left the kitten at home today. Feel really bad - left him loads of toys/food etc but it feels like leaving a baby home alone (leaving aside the fact that this baby is toilet trained, can feed himself and climb stairs). Sure he and I will both get used to it but I can't wait to get back to him!

LinusLovesBretons · 22/09/2015 14:01

Quickly popping in to say that I am very jealous of your kitten amber!

I would love one but with DD only just and even then potty trained I don't feel like taking on another 'baby'.

It's been completely hectic here so I haven't been followinf the thread but I hope this week is a bit quieter so I can enjoy all your lovely links.

QueenofCardigans · 22/09/2015 14:05

Ah amber I wish I lived by you as I'd go in an cuddle kidnap him.
lib sounds like the right decision for the dress as boots will be more versatile.
marsha well done for running
stokey there's some funny things on FB too. lib you're right, he'll never live it down.

I missed mn last night but I spent the evening looking at bags instead. I am now two thirds of the way to affording a chanel but on balance I just don't think I can spend that much. There's actually loads of other wallets on chains or straps out there although nothing in a colour that I want at the moment.

FedupNagging · 22/09/2015 15:32

Am impressed Marsha, running home from work.

I am supposed to be starting a new exercise class tonight - but have had a bad headache for 24hrs now so may have to cry off. lightweight

Lib I hope you enjoy your time away despite the weather. Shame about the dress as you looked great in it but no point keeping if so much effort is needed to style it!

Stokey nice jumper - that will be a great colour on you and Conscious, love the dress.

I finally have flares that fit - one pair for heels and the other for flats. Ootd is massimo dutti 3/4 sleeve jumper, next flares and Ash platform pumps - love the flares and pumps together so I think they wil both get lots of wear.

Weather is awful so I went out earlier wearing mk padded jacket and a hat for the 1st time since last winter!

Stokey · 22/09/2015 17:42

Are both pairs Next Fedup? I'm still after a pair to wear with flats, maybe I need to try petite. I've ordered this Asos coatigan. It's got some wool in it so hope it won't be too cold, I seriously doubt I'll be wearing it with bare legs!

LinusLovesBretons · 22/09/2015 19:22

I've just ordered this jumper.

I think I'll wear this with my grey By Malene Birger pencil skirt or maybe even with my black H&M midi skirt. Depends of the types of navy and black work together, which they don't always do.

I just hope it's not as dissapointing as the Gucci one I ordered a few weeks ago.

Drywhitethanks · 22/09/2015 19:58

Mara when it arrives I'll let you know whats the Zara top is like, like it because it's cotton, poly is a bit clammy for me unless it has short/no sleeves

FedupNagging · 22/09/2015 21:37

Stokey yes both pairs are Next petite, the cheaper ones. They still needed taking up though! Absolutely love the coatigan you have ordered.

Nice jumper Linus, like the buttons on the shoulder.

Shop hope all is ok?
