Ahhhhh, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness...if for you that means the joy of cosy jumpers, retrieving your favourite coats and jackets from the back of the wardrobe and an excuse to buy new boots then this is the place for you Smile. Come chat about clothes, make up and accessories, budgets from Primark to Prada. Lurkers, newbies and old hands all welcome.

Thanks Stokey. The tickets we have are for Wembley - it's usually well organised but will bring snacks for DD just in case. Nice skirt. Zara are a bit full on ATM with the boho vibe!

Thanks for the heads up on the rugby. I am a rugby widow over the next 6 weeks though I am going to one game.

Speaking of widows I am dressed like one today. It all went a bit wrong on the style front! Am at home already so I am changing fast!

You sound brighter Shop.

AmberNectarine · 17/09/2015 18:29

I liked my outfit today - blue/black/white patterned reiss bodycon dress, same Chanel heels and bag as yesterday. Cold though, will be breaking out my winter coat if it continues!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 17/09/2015 19:00

ugh, i am sore. had my implant changed and it took ages to get the old one out. plus when the dr first took the scalpel to me, i needed more local!!Shock that's the red in my hair (naturally i mean under the dye) those of us of the red persuasion genuinely do need more pain relief, i've read multiple studies about it.

how are you feeling shop? hope you are resting Thanks

outfit sounds good amber

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2015 19:33

I'm out with my sister and dp tonight. Dh has gone to find them. The music is soooo good I can't tell you and the drink I'm having is just right. The lighting is also perfect. Love it!

LinusLovesBretons · 17/09/2015 19:35

How about your outfit marsha?! The rest sounds perfect.

MarshaBrady · 17/09/2015 19:39

Ah yes afraid it's what I wore to work. Rag&Bone skinnies and R&B black boots, c/e tartan top, Marant tartan scarf and blazer for when I leave. So happy to be here. The noise level is fabulous

libertydoddle · 17/09/2015 19:40

Sounds great Marsha. Love those little perfect moments in life.

DH has been shit today - he simply cannot work from home and look after DS and I if today is anything to go by. At 6pm there was still no sign of tea for DS being cooked...... at 7.15pm I was washing him and putting him to bed. This is going to be tough......
He says it's just been a bad day but it doesn't bode well.
Marsha loved the double tartan thing :) Want to know where you are so I can live it from my sick bed x

QueenofCardigans · 17/09/2015 20:27

Oh no shop, is he working rather than on leave?
I'll join you all a a rugby widow.
I was happy with today's outfit of jeans, navy blouse and damson cardi until dd took a photo of me. I'm hoping it was just a bad angle as I look shit and fat and its out me off the blouse.

Longislandicetee · 17/09/2015 20:37

Oh Shop I am so sorry babe. Can any of the grandparents help out?

LinusLovesBretons · 17/09/2015 20:41

I would come and take care of you shop but I have another patient to look after. Wink

libertydoddle · 17/09/2015 21:02

shop that's crap. He needs to take some carer's leave. Stress and having to look after DS will just slow your recovery down. He'll get back to work quicker if he makes sure you rest properly now. But also cut yourself some slack. It will be OK if DS has beans on toast for tea and doesn't have a bedtime bath for a couple of nights. Big hugs for you.

listen to Liberty Shop she is very wise.

And Lib I need a lady in waiting too....spending ages each Eve planning next day's outfit. I Even thought of doing a secret pin board of all of my fav work outfits sure this was your idea

Marsha you've only got 2 hand bags?

I heard "World in uNion" on 5live this evening and felt a little frisson. I'm going to watch England play with the family, Dh and DS are going to Twickenham on Sunday and have Semi final tickets at Wembley he owes DD and I big time for these Shock . There will be a lot of rugby here.

AmberNectarine · 18/09/2015 07:10

Couldn't give a toss about the rugby and nor could DH, mercifully. DH is taking DS to his first cricket match at Lord's tomorrow though, which is cute. DD and I are having a girls day.

So nice not to be springing out of bed and racing around to get kids to breakfast club.

MarshaBrady · 18/09/2015 07:11

Highly streamlined, although I might get another soon. I didn't really care about bags before those two. Have always loved clothes though

Shop working and looking after a young child is too difficult, he may need leave or someone else to help out.

I'm feeling very shady this morning, groan

libertydoddle · 18/09/2015 07:26

Ah poor you Marsha. The night out sounded worth it though.

I would love to go to the cricket at Lord's sometime.

dry did I say about a secret pin board for work outfits on here? I have been thinking about that for a while. I was going to take photos of outfits that I like as so often I look at the wardrobe and wonder how the hell I dressed myself previously.

Hope you are OK this morning shop.

Morning all
I have leggings on :( This is not good. On the plus side I have my new All Saints long cardigan on - which is lovely.

HappyGirlNow · 18/09/2015 09:11

Ooh loved that cardi shop glad you're pleased! Tempted myself! Love the grey but probably get more wear out of the black although its not true black eh?

shopafrolic · 18/09/2015 09:48

The black looks like this Happy

Thanks shop - love it Grin I think I might need to order that!

VivaVegas · 18/09/2015 11:24

Morning all!
Can't believe I haven't been on this thread yet!
Shop not sure what you've had done, hope you feel better soon. Depending on your husbands job it might be hard to juggle work demands and a young DC. I have only managed to do it when the DC have been unwell and happy to sleep on the sofa or watch TV/DVDs. Also men IMO are pretty crap at multi tasking!
One how is your allergic reaction?
Dry loved the Zara trousers and patent loafers you linked, would be good for me for work.
Amber seems you have enjoyed going back to work.
Hate to say it but I'm not a bag person, definitely shoes for me!
Out with DH tonight and discovered my indigo coated skinniest are no longer coated. They are a few years old but we're fine the last time I wore them! Emergency ASOS order made for these navy coated skinnies due to arrive at my office later today, love ASOS for its ease. Just hope they are OK. Want to wear them with navy silky ravello top and Alice heels. I think they'd also be good with 2 longline cashmere jumpers I got in January in grey and navy and boots. Still trying to make sure anything I buy makes a few outfits with existing things as opposed to needing more new stuff to go with it! Have these on order from Next black suede boots, they were a weeks wait when I ordered last week but no sign yet. Not needed urgently, still wearing shoes, loving my Boden silver ghillies so glad I got them, and loved the black Next ones somebody linked up thread.
Winter clothes bags now down from the loft, going to have a good sort over the next week and a big wardrobe tidy.

VivaVegas · 18/09/2015 11:33

VivaVegas · 18/09/2015 11:39

Love the colour of this and the whole outfit fuchia top. Don't think I could carry it off though!
