Love that cobalt dress but the shape would be all wrong on me.

I might wear my new Splendid dress today even though it's a bit chilly and I don't feel like shaving my legs.

Morning! Got back in the middle of the night. Dh's good cheer from the holiday severely tested as he muttered on about package holidays as I cheerfully ignored him.

Exactly a year ago, dh and I were having conversations about the stock market and the performance of our brokers/managers. So I bet him that I could pick stocks and beat both our manager and the FTSE 100 as a benchmark. I put £12.5k in about 25 mostly little companies and have so far realised approx £2,500 profit after dealing commission. That's a 20% return, when the FTSE 100 is at about the same as it was last year.???? My dad and I used to play the markets all the time when I was a kid and I was good at it but I haven't done it in years. I have told dh that for not having faith in me, I am spending my profits on utterly frivolous things Iike sparkly shoes.???? The cheeky bugger still has no faith in me so I am going to prove I can do it again over the next year!

Woohoo Novice that is great, maybe we can set up an MNV fund? I do love a woman triumphing over a fund manager!

Glad you had good holidays Dry and Novice. I'd definitely be interested in your glamping place Dry. I'm missing the sun massively, am definitely not ready for autumn. Hope the weather will pick up a bit next week, otherwise am going to have to brave soft play eek.

Thanks Stokey! Trust me, included in my 25 were 5 complete dogs. I refuse to sell them till they at least return to the value I paid for them. It's a looong game! I am not ready for autumn either. But then again, I never am!

How do you invest in complete dogs? I'd end up with dividends paid in puppies!

dry and anyone else with older girls, how was dd when her boobs started developing? Dd is really self conscious and hates them. Theyre tiny still but becomng increasingly obvious.

Year 6 I think QueenC....lots of lovely starter bras out there. Tricky if they are younger/the first inn heir peer group though.
