Not quite sure how that went so quickly. Continuing the search for stylish bargains. Lurkers welcome - bring links and a smile :)

Vest link goes to the coat again. Thanks for the shopping offer, would be great if you can pick it up for me but no worries if not, it's nagging away at me.

novice I'm having a heart attack! Maybe you shoukd get shop to help you as she could eBay stuff for you. Or do you have a dress agency local that you can take stuff to sell?

BrandyAlexander · 10/08/2015 09:36

Sleep keeps offering to eBay or do dress agency for me. Blush

I notice most of my not worn clothes are for going out. I think I have had visions of dh and I having a better social life but it hasn't quite materialised. I think I am going to give it a few more months and then do a mass clear out if I haven't worn them. I still haven't got over the incredulous look on the faces of the movers as they realised they had entered the tardis and our current house is twice the size of old one so I need to control myselfGrin

Here is the Armani vest

I think I could easily also total up another £1500 from things I have worn once.Blush Stuff on pin include my £900 leather leggings plus

kaliko lace top

Hobbs dress that I finally wore 3 weeks ago

Armani shrug

lace dress

My Triangl bikini arrived (super quick!) and... IT FITS! It's lovely, very pleased with it Smile

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2015 14:12

blair are you there?? I'm ignoring the kids for half an hour so was going to do your bag search but can't remember your requirements....

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2015 14:23

for shop

QueenCardigan · 10/08/2015 14:25

for amber

MyVegasBaby · 10/08/2015 15:24

Like the top shop gillie shoes Queen. Kicked myself for not getting the Massimo Dutti ones in the sale.
Drowning in a sea of post holiday shopping and work, aghhhhh!

MyVegasBaby · 10/08/2015 15:25

Post holiday washing, not shopping!

LinusDKD · 10/08/2015 18:37

Gah! Just lost a whole post!

Can't be bothered to re-type so I'll just link this skirt I saw online and has Santa written allover it.

libertychick · 10/08/2015 18:59

Question for those of you just back from holidays....

What were your 3 or 4 most useful items of clothing?
What did you pack and not use?
What footwear did you use the most?
Was there anything you didn't bring that you wished you had with you?

My holidays are not until end of November, I really need to shop for it now but am struggling to be inspired so I need some help!! We're going to Thailand and it will be v hot when we are there.

shopafrolic · 10/08/2015 20:17

Lib a while since my break but answering anyway
Most useful - denim shorts, my Equipment grey and white striped jersey dress, my J Crew Panama hat and my Boden Orange bikini
packed and not used - my black James Perse jersey dress
Most used footwear - Gigis
There was nothing I wish I'd brought with me but didn't have

Am all in black today - black tee, black Paige skinnies, black Sam Edelman caged sandals, red lipstick and a huge black wicker beach bag as a carry all for a trip to the RAF museum. Am running out of fun stuff to do and we're not even half way through the hols yet Hmm

Not sure about the shape of those Ghillies QueenC and would tower above everyone but LOVE the colour. I'm hoping Dune may do more of the mid heel height version in other colours.....off to look

They look good Shop. Thanks for the holiday tips Smile. I might chop up some old jeans to make denim shorts. Have just ordered this kaftan

LinusDKD · 10/08/2015 20:31

lib most worn shoes definitely Gigis.
Most worn items my H&M Dresses and Boden chino shorts

Same as shop didn't wear my James Perse dress, too clingy in the heat. And I had brought some ls tees and trousers just in case but it was just too hot to wear them.

I actually didn't wish I had packed something else probably because I packed too much to begin with

libertychick · 10/08/2015 20:40

Thanks Linus- I'll do a H&M trip at the weekend Smile

shopafrolic · 10/08/2015 20:42

Word of warning on cutting up jeans Lib - if they are tight to the thigh they will go tighter once rolled up as shorts, so either pick a wider leg pair of buy some in the Hush sale perhaps?

Thanks for the vanish tip Novice, seems to have worked a bit at least. I would also love a SATC clear out of your wardrobe, guess we all want to be Carrie though!

Great buys Mara , I can really see you in both those.

My most worn holiday clothes were bikini - I took 3 for 2 weeks but 4 would have been good. Seafolly kaftan I wore most days and kept "real" clothes for the evening & H&M dresses.
Shoes Gigi's too (baaaa) and flip-flops.
Not really needed - smarter dresses, jumpsuit. It was too hot for the jumpsuit. I made myself wear a Desigual dress I'd taken and black silk I wore to the MU but they weren't necessary. Also emergency trousers, spare sweatshirt not needed.

Are you doing any trekking or is it just beach Lib? If you're trekking, you'll need some long, thin trousers or thin long- sleeved top for bugs and bushes.

Stokey · 10/08/2015 20:55

Great kaftan BTW!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/08/2015 21:06

QueenC ah missed you! Back now, after a weekend of iffy hotel wifi. Requirements were cross body and large enough for all the usual stuff plus a book. I am currently having serious thoughts about a Wang Rockie.

Had a great time in Wales and we were very lucky with the weather! We spent Saturday on the beach in Swansea, then yesterday in Cardiff, what a lovely city. I have some new running gear thanks to sports direct Grin and also got this Clover Canyon skirt for £40 in good old TK Maxx.

topaz I have 4 me+em dresses so you're not alone! Hope you like the new blue one.

mara so glad you love where you're living now, BBQ lobster sounds amazing :)

Fedupnagging · 10/08/2015 21:17

Sorry have been awol for a few days - a combination of unexpected visitors and spending lots of time with new dgc, oh and a couple of parties over the weekend. Am exhausted!

Welcome back Stokey, Queen & MVB and happy holidays to Dry and Marsha. Novice hope you're having fun.

Shop I wore all black today too - BR crops, Oasis vest and Superga animal print pumps. I added my goldy/beige linen knit over the top earlier in the day - love this look. Love those grey shoes btw.

Great question Lib:
Most useful: 2 stripey t shirt dresses from Turkey which I wore as beach cover ups and an apricot linen shift dress from Sandwich. For evenings (still 30+ most eve's) this dress

Not used: 2 cardigans and 2 pairs of trousers - too hot.

Footwear: these Sam Edelman sandals and these havs.

Wish I'd taken: Nothing - didn't wear all that I took! Could have done with another beach dress/kaftan though.

MyVegasBaby · 10/08/2015 21:18

Things I wore most on my holiday were black Gap chino shorts and Gap denim shorts. I wore them in the evening with nice sleeveless tops and Gigis or Gigi-alikes. Also liked my Hush Venice beach dress and black Next jumpsuit. I also wore a black Zara cap sleeved shift dress a few times.
I didn't wear a maxi I took as it felt too hot and a black jersey dress as too clingy. I took a pair of 7/8 jeans but again didn't wear due to heat.
Didn't miss anything I didn't take.
Really pleased I had a spray tan and gel nails before I went.
Sun lounger sale purchases starting to arrive and Whistles indigo skinnies are a keeper, really nice dark navy, good fit. Real bargain for £25 and will be good for AW. ASOS Ganni haul to be picked up from work tomorrow.

Fedupnagging · 10/08/2015 21:24

Shop have you taken ds to the NHM at Tring here? - my ds's loved it from about 3yrs +

libertychick · 10/08/2015 21:57

No trekking Stokey. DD is only 4 - we might do a day trip to ride elephants but will be mostly hotel/beach.

Sounds like I need to stock up on shorts and t-shirt style dresses and at least one more bikini. I don't have any Gigis!! If anyone sees any really, really cheap let me know Smile
