u2, no, not that I am aware of. I recently finished a tube that I had opened a couple of YEARS before and forgot aboutBlush ( that was before i started to think seriously about my routine) It still performed perfectly.

Back2Two I have couple of sleep mask/pack stuff I don't want. I just find myself not using them. Some ginseng face masks that I don't think I'll get round to using. I also have some holika petit bb cream. Love the stuff but the undertone doesn't suit my skin. If you're interested, pm me. Smile

Oooh Big I really like the Sulwhasoo eye cream! The consistency is not at all how I imagined it would be and it feels amazing when I apply it. I've also got the Hylamide Sub Q Eyes which is a lot runnier, do you think it would be overkill to put that on first, followed by the Sulwhasoo?

I used my first 15% homemade C serum and had no adverse reaction, just a nice tingly feeling. That brings me to a question about pH dependents. I don't have time to use the c serum in the morning due to the 20 minute wait so I use it at night when I've got the whole evening to do the routine at my leisure. BUT when I'm brave enough to add in the Tretinoin, what happens to the C serum? I don't imagine I should use both at night so will need to move the C serum to the morning but the wait times will have to go. Any idea how that affects its performance Big? How does it fit in with your routine?

bigbuttons · 19/07/2015 11:30

Beagle so glad you like the Sulwhasoo, it's amazing isn't it? My eyes have never looked so wrinkle free!
I use my vit c in the mornings. I bring the ph down with another acid first. Do you use any other acid cleansers such a nip and fab or clearasil? if you have them do a quick wipe over you face straight after washing( that will lower the skin's ph) and then straight on with the vit c. Whilst having breakfast, getting dressed etc, let the vit c do its work and finish doing your face after 20 mins.

So I bought a tube of retin a on ebay and my skin is amazingly clear at the moment. I thought one tube of retin was much the same as the next but my skin seems more luminous using this tube than it did when I bought some from Geoff's Pharmacy.

It was this one Gerti.

mowglik · 19/07/2015 22:42

back2two I'm interested in the lrp cleanser and the sulwhasoo bits

I have a few bits mostly unused
Hado labo shirojyun whitening lotions, one is rich and one is normal
Nip fab no needle serum
Bioessence 24k bio-gold skin radiance cleanser
Caudalie beauty elixir 30ml used about 10%.

I already have the nip fab dragons blood pads - trying to finish that one and didn't get on with the TBS cleanser!

Mitzy did you experience less sensitivity with the new retin-a? I'm using the strongest retinol atm and thinking I could move onto retin-a next but o remember I had chronic peeling the last time I tried retin-a Confused

MitzyLeFrouf · 20/07/2015 16:42

mowglik my skin seems to be used to the 0.025 retin-a at this stage so I had very little peeling when I started the new tube. I did have a fair amount of peeling when I first started on retin though.

I think I might try 0.05 next.

Blondiewoman007 · 20/07/2015 18:08

I've got a question about skin peels. I think it was bigbuttons who said she used peels from SR skincare so as I'm a sucker for new products I ordered the salicylic acid (10%) one straight away. I used it last night for the instructed one minute and it stung/burned like CRAZY!! My skin looked a bit pink when I neutralised the peel then washed it off but I just noticed after using the peel that it shouldn't be used if you are using retin A cream. Which I am!
Do you use both big buttons??
My skin looks fab today mind you lol.

bigbuttons · 20/07/2015 18:31

blondie no, I no longer use weekly peels my skin is too sensitive. You can water down your peel though . If you have say 30ml of peel add 30ml of water and that will then give you a5% peel, even that is quite strong for a bha.

Thanks big buttons. Helpful as always. I'll try that. However I'm wondering if I should avoid the peels altogether while I'm using retin A.

BelindaBanana · 20/07/2015 19:40

I have had my last 2 tubes of 0.05 Retin A from abhealth care on eBay , been really good ( the jennsen / Johnstons one in the blue box , it's seems to be unavailable at the minute :( ( £9, 95 for 20g ) mitzy your link is also sold out , any one got an ebay link ? ( think could go to 0.1 % as I can use the 0.05 every night now ... Although I have read it's no more effective ? Thanks :)

mowglik · 20/07/2015 21:39

Hi back2two no worries!

Melonfool · 21/07/2015 07:04

Out of interest, what is Effaclar duo supposed to do? I have been using it a week and see no difference in my skin. The box is vague and talks about reducing red marks in 24 hours or something. I have pigmentation from old spots and current scabby bits, but it's had no effect on any of that

Does anyone know what might help? Have ordered some vit C drops and some Retinol, so maybe one or other of those will do it.

madamecake · 21/07/2015 08:05

Can I join? I've been lurking since the first thread and have been on a Caroline Hirons inspired routine for a couple of years, but the appearance of some not so fine lines in the past few months has made me up the ante.

My usual routine -
AM
Cleanse - Clarins extra gentle cleansing cream or Alpha H Balancing cleanser
Tone - Pixi glow tonic, followed by LRP Serozinc
Serum - Estee Lauder ANR (can't fit it in at night!)
Moisturiser - Just using a simple one at the moment
SPF - Biore Watery essence

PM
Cleanse - Body Shop camomile cleansing oil or boots botanics hot cloth cleansing balm, followed by one of the AM cleansers if I've been wearing heavy makeup

I'm then using Retin-A 0.05 most nights (having worked up from 0.025) and liquid gold 2 nights a week.

My skin is looking ready smooth and glowy (hurray!) but my ANR has almost run out and I want to replace with something different. I fancy a vitamin C serum but don't know if I'm up for making my own.

Any opinions on
