QueenCardigan · 08/05/2015 16:15

indecisive which quiz are you referring to? I linked a couple either at the beginning of this thread or the end of the last one. I just found them by googling.

The quiz you are all talking about lol, I thought there was only one?!
I'll try googling as can't seem to find any links. Thank you.

Indecisivejo · 08/05/2015 16:48

Ok I'm definitely not a winter lol but no idea how to find out what I am grrrrrr Grin

RaisingSteam · 08/05/2015 18:12

Here you go quiz

NowhereNow · 08/05/2015 19:38

There was someone on the last thread who liked the Kettlewell drape sweater, maybe Mimi? Anyway, it has 20% off at the moment:

Thanks raisingsteam.
I'm very confused after looking at that quiz GrinConfused

mimiasovitch · 08/05/2015 21:27

Nowhere - I love you! I'm losing weight at the moment, so I think I'll buy the silver and the ruby in a size down.

I love your outfit Twitch - not a bit of catalogue (or soft, muted green) about it!

AmelieinOz · 08/05/2015 23:14

Raisingsteam - thanks! I'm a cool winter through and through.

Are there other other quizzes? Like to find out if you're jewel winter? I call myself that because I look way better in jewel colours than burgundy, (which is just ok but makes me look old) etc but that's just my assumption. :)

Also, the more vivid the colour, the better it looks on me. I haven't really tried icy blues and pinks, though. Those are cool colours right or do they belong to another subset (like, say, pale icy winter vs jewel winter - now I'm just making things up!)

QueenCardigan · 09/05/2015 08:16

amelie the jewel/sultry/sprinter thing is just hoc I think and they rate you depending which colours you look best in. I doubt you'll find stuff online about it. Most of the stuff online though will categorise you into deep/cool, bright/clear or true winter. There's loads of stuff out there but you need to be prepared to lose hours of your life to google or Pinterest Grin
Nice bags ginger

As far as I'm aware the icy colours don't belong in another subset. I look good in icy blue and purple but that's about it.

AsBrightAsAJewel · 09/05/2015 08:42

That quiz gave me out as a completely different season to my HoC diagnosis! So I doubt online tests are much help.

I really can't get on with any of the icy colours Queen. I'm a Jewel Winter so not many have a good rating for me and even those I just don't like - I feel they just look a bit dirty on me, like they should have been white and I've made a mistake in the washing machine!

QueenCardigan · 09/05/2015 10:13

I remember someone saying on an old thread that the icy colours probably look best on darker skin. The contrast of black winter skin and ice colours probably looks amazing.

Hi all, not been well this week so just catching up now.

Twitch really like the outfit (do you have classic in your style profile?) and think I might download that app myself!

QueenC I can't do ice colours either but my SIL is also a jewel winter and she looks great in them. Her colouring is slightly darker than mine but she's still pretty fair.

Ginger I love the M&S bag

AmelieinOz · 09/05/2015 10:48

Thanks, QueenCardigan! I'll just stick to jewel winter for me then. :)

RaisingSteam · 09/05/2015 14:00

I would have found the quiz confusing. I have really neutral colouring - pale skin, mid brown hair, hazel eyes. I could have put myself in any season TBH, that's why I eventually splashed out on a consultation.

The consultant rates you for every winter colour, and then drapes all the best ones as a group - that gives you the extra description. Some people will have the light brights, some the jewel colours, some the deep ones (me).

TBH I find it really hard to look objectively at my colouring and whether some colours are better than others, it's not easy.

SorrelForbes · 09/05/2015 14:03

I'm a bit meh about the ice colours too although I've got ** at 50% for Ice Green, Ice Lavender and Ice Hyacinth. In summer I tend to stick to Royal and Electric blue, white, navy and fuchsia.

AmelieinOz · 09/05/2015 22:32

Icy colours + dark skin make sense. Like Lupita Nyong'o when she won the Oscars in her pale blue dress. She also looks great in turquoise.

AmelieinOz · 13/05/2015 07:19

Hi!

What hair colour flatters us, winters?

ForSaleChesterDraws · 13/05/2015 07:49

Hair something with ash tones, avoid colours that are described as warm, honey, golden. Winters can carry off platinum and grey.

NeitherHereOrThere · 13/05/2015 14:12

Your natural hair colour Smile if you have to dye, go for ash/cool based colours.

AmelieinOz · 13/05/2015 22:06

I was getting tired of my natural dark Asian hair (and there was a 40% off hair product sale yesterday) but decided against buying a DIY kit. Now I uderstand why colouring my hair back in highschool and uni didn't really suit me!
