I'm a deep winter as well. Best colours dark green, burgundy, dark mole, raspberry - none of which are too distant from the dark end of autumn.

As part of my wardrobe sort out I've just dyed my White Stuff velvet jacket from its original moss green to really dark green - it took 3 packets of Dylon but has come out beautiful! Wonder what I can dye next?

ForSaleChesterDraws · 07/05/2015 04:16

Book marking my place on the new thread. I'm a sultry winter who is a natural romantic (been through a few name changes including kosherbacon).

Welcome aboard to those new to this board.

Twitchcoco · 07/05/2015 06:39

What are the deep and sultries doing for spring/summer? I end up in navy, white, light grey and a whoosh of magenta or bright pink.

I'm starting to get excited about finding stone bottoms as I think that will really help my current wardrobe hole.

mimiasovitch · 07/05/2015 11:11

When its sunny I feel I can move into my play colours more, and indulge in bright pink and cobalt, with white and navy or black. I always wear a lot of red too. I have a lovely navy sundress which I wear with red sandals, or a black skirt with pink sandals and a white vest. Maybe I should invest in some ice colours for tops, but it seems easier to pick up white ones from anywhere. I have some lovely pine green silk which I plan to make into a frock sometime, which could work in the summer with silver or pewter shoes. I just need to enter the sewing room of doom and clear it out a bit.

Raising - I have a packet of Dylon burlesque red here waiting for me to trasform a tomato red dress. What green did you use?

Twitchcoco · 07/05/2015 11:40

Thanks mini. I'm wearing this today. I like it, I prefer the magenta as an accent. Am I starting to understand outfits a bit better?

Mimi, not mini Blush

RaisingSteam · 07/05/2015 12:48

I used Dylon Dark Green machine dye. I've got my eye on Burlesque red too for some rust-coloured T shirts.

Dancergirl · 07/05/2015 14:59

Where do I find the quiz to tell me what I am??

RaisingSteam · 07/05/2015 16:59

Dancer do you mean to find out which colour season? I think there are links near the very end of the previous thread. I would get a proper consultation before spending shedloads on revamping your wardrobe though - speaking as someone who was convinced she was an Autumn for 25 years! I think I'm a bit borderline though - you might fit the categories more clearly.

NeitherHereOrThere · 07/05/2015 17:45

Great outfit Twitch. I like magenta as a pop of colour, I think its a bit more me than bright pink.

Chinese blue is a great colour to wear in summer. Another thing I do in summer is to combine a couple of bright colours such as royal purple t shirt with emerald cardigan. Chinese blue, lagoon blue and cobalt all go well with emerald.

I also wear paler shades of grey.

Twitchcoco · 07/05/2015 17:49

Thanks neither! I like your colour combinations. The magenta is a bit more refined isn't it? More blue-based.

I've looked at stone and I think I prefer light grey. I'll keep an eye out though.

Indecisivejo · 07/05/2015 18:19

What's this quiz and how do I find it???

AsBrightAsAJewel · 07/05/2015 20:18

I love that outfit Twitchcoco. The magenta really works with those colours.

Do you have a pinterest page? Or do you use polyvore for the outfit stylings? Still trying to get my head round both sites as I see so many good outfits on them.

Plumpysoft · 07/05/2015 21:47

Queencardigan I joined your pinterest - thank you!

Im a Romantic Natural Jewel Winter, is anyone else the same? Its a fairly unusual mix - basically sexy/dramatic dressing up!

Dancergirl · 07/05/2015 23:14

Lovely outfit twitch where is the scarf from?

Twitchcoco · 08/05/2015 07:38

Laura Ashley. Still in stock too.

Twitchcoco · 08/05/2015 07:39

Thanks for the thumbs up on the outfit winters, I feel a bit more confident now :)

Dancergirl · 08/05/2015 07:42

Thanks, I have also found this which looks gorgeous:

Twitchcoco · 08/05/2015 07:46

I use the stylebook app to put outfits together. I love it.

AmelieinOz · 08/05/2015 08:06

Very dark brown - can this work? I'm a jewel winter.

Twitchcoco · 08/05/2015 08:13

I'm a deep winter, I have worn it before because it matches my eyes but I look way better in pine green or indigo. Brown sort of just blends, pine or indigo really smoulder if that makes sense.

You're looking at tan again aren't you? LOL. :). Are you sure you're winter?

AmelieinOz · 08/05/2015 09:21

Twitchcoco - yup, very sure. :) Fair skin, dark hair and eyes. Very cool-toned. Only black, silver, jewel tones look good on me. Blue-based pinks. Even burgundy don't look good on me. Navy is ok.

I was looking at this:

www.ebay.com.au/itm/171775311617?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

QueenCardigan · 08/05/2015 10:13

I tend to wear the colours in summer so cobalt, emerald, Chinese blue mainly. I've out away my royal purple and pine green cardi as they feel a bit dark.
I prefer the pinks as a splash of colour rather than wearing them too. My skin can sometimes look quite red so the pinks kind of clash. I adore my fuschia handbag though and love bright pink nails.

Erm ok then just ignore my question Hmm

AmelieinOz · 08/05/2015 15:25

Indecisivejo - I'd like to know where to find the quiz as well. :)
