Loving the links, especially the Phase Eight tops!

Has anyone bought any dresses for the summer? Looking for work and holiday, with a limited budget, and wanting to disguise a podgy stomach 😏

Mamia15 · 03/07/2018 07:29

Dolce - try the linen shift dresses in Next, there are lots of colours.

ForSaleChesterDraws · 17/07/2018 06:20

Hello Winters! I bought myself both of these bags (one of them is going back). I was trying to think of how to add some contrast into my outfits and make myself look a bit more summery. Both are from White Stuff.

Love the silver bag. Sadly I'm on a not buying anything spell at the moment, except for new running trainers which don't count.

Winterwoman007 · 01/09/2018 21:45

Any other ice winters on here? Where do you get your ices?

So looking forward to this change of season and clothes.

Redact · 03/09/2018 08:06

@Winterwoman007 hi I'm a jewel winter, however, I scored two stars or one star with all of the ice colours. I have quite a few tops, shirts and jumpers from White Company in ice blue or ice pink. Ice blue is one of my favourite colours to wear. I would love an ice blue silk shirt but haven't found one yet! Have you found any clothes in ice colours yet?

Dolceandgabbana14 · 03/09/2018 13:09

Following for ice colour ideas as well. I'm a 'sprinter winter' with those as two stars as well.

Really not liking the mustard that's all over the shops at the moment! Lovely colour but not for winters at all!

Winterwoman007 · 04/09/2018 07:09

Seems like the ice winters are coming out of summer hibernation. 😂

I found an ice blue silk top in Reiss but it has been hard. I also found some ice mint earrings and an ice blue necklace on Amazon but oddly enough also no pinks.

I was draped 6 months ago and can see I'll be relying on some of my other wow colours.

Redact · 04/09/2018 13:03

Ha ha yes unfortunately summer has ended but at least the shops should have more of our seasons colours coming in. A small consolation for cold weather! The ice colours are very hard to find. I'll have a look at Reiss for that top. I've my eye on a cashmere sweater that is ice pink from White Company, need to go instore for closer inspection. I'm not a fan of the mustard that's everywhere either! Had an email from Hush this morning and looks like red is also going to be very popular this season. Love a bit of red 🍷 ha ha

Winterwoman007 · 04/09/2018 13:42

I'm so glad to see more red in the shops. It is a favourite color of mine.

I bought the silk top in a Reiss early summer clearance so it may be gone now unfortunately.

I just checked out that sweater in WC. Can you please let me know @Redact? It looks like it has potential!

Redact · 06/09/2018 16:44

@Winterwoman007 I checked instore at WC armed with my wallet of swatches! It looks a very good match, unfortunately they didn't have my size so will have to order. I bought it in an ice blue last winter and it was my favourite buy.

Winterwoman007 · 06/09/2018 16:52

Thanks for reporting in @Redact. I've hit the order button!

Winterwoman007 · 09/09/2018 12:15

Does anyone have any ice pink jewellery?

I would like to hear what colour combinations people are wearing at the moment. My current favourite is navy, green and ice blue.

CalmConfident · 30/12/2018 15:29

Please can we reinvigorate this thread....need some new year inspiratuon!

didireallysaythat · 30/12/2018 15:45

Me too. Stuck in a navy blue rut with the occasional pink scarf. Need more colour!!!!!

mowglik · 30/12/2018 16:25

I’m not great at spotting which red suits me but I need more red in my wardrobe so had a look around, found this mint velvet red dress which looks good. Just need it to go on sale now!

ForSaleChesterDraws · 30/12/2018 20:44

I’ve been rereading my ratings and thinking more about my style profile. I’ve ended up slipping into buying things in the right colour but not style profile. For example I bought this in purple www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-extra-fine-merino-crew-neck-jumper-408712.html The colour is amazing and the shape is great however the neckline is totally wrong on me. I should have got a v neck as it suits me better. I need to re-read my style booklet. I also need to think better about accessories, such as earrings and necklaces. I play safe with loads of navy and grey and accessories are a great way to add colour, contrast and detail. I am however skint!

Newyearnewme2019 · 20/02/2019 14:25

Looking at resurrecting this thread as looking back on it it gives great advise and as i have just been informed that i am a Sultry Winter i need all the help i can get.

When out to the shops last weekend and found that i can now see lots of things that are not my colours, but i'm finding it really hard to commit to one of my colours as i'm unsure if its right or not.

ForSaleChesterDraws · 20/02/2019 16:48

Do you take your wallet out with you? If you see in this picture I’ve put my ratings on the side to make it easier to choose. It’s also important to remember that it doesn’t have it to be a 100% match, it just needs to blend in and harmonise.

Newyearnewme2019 · 20/02/2019 17:41

I do but feel a bit daft getting it out.

I also feel that I'm now looking for certain colours but the actual item isn't something that I would wear but then in conflict with myself saying "but the colour suits you"!!!! Argh. Didn't think it would be this hard.

On another not though, I have bought a yellow bag and looking for a raspberry bag to add the colour which I would never have done before and I quite like it. Feels bold without it being in your face.

Do you know your colours or do you take yours out and match?

Any others with any input?
