Great question QueenC........currently I'd turn up my skinny jimmies so ankle grazing and wear with stan smiths, camel coat or Zara orange fitted jacket from last year, Gucci hobo in black or my new Fossil cross body bag in brown.

Like Blair I like my Bretons fitted, need a navy and white.....have many other colour ways.

Hmm, in answer to queenCs question, I'd change the breton colour to either black and white or red and white and wear with grey or black skinnies, either converse or dr martens and my bright red trench coat. backpack as standard and any one of a number of varying colour bags, I have no definitive bag I use all the time, whatevers handy really

Good question QUeenC - today's answer would be with Superstars and minimal make up. Should be with skinny jeans, pointy leopard print flats, fuchsia pink lipstick and some sort of statement necklace and black blazer.

Good question QueenC. I wore exactly this earlier in the week with Stan Smiths, leather biker jacket and a cobalt and red thin scarf. I've got a couple of other biker style jackets that I'd swap for the leather depending on the weather... A black boucle one and a cream Zara one.

My response to QueenC's question was "a breton and jeans? - that is the outfit"!

I tend not to add much but do wear my usual rings, necklace then shoes and coat dependent on weather. Today I wore my breton with hush harems, Jemima Vine animal print flats and Welsh tapestry coat. Was blooming freezing so should have added grey and pink scarf with stars on it.

Shop I would think of chinos as possibly the most un dramatic item of clothing, apart from birkenstocks another of my faves

Dry I think you are more dramatic than Linus who is very classic. I'm thinking pointy heels / flats and leather skirts. Linus looks lovely in her tods, skinny jeans and coatigan - I'm not sure you would feel right in that outfit?? Correct me if I'm wrong though.

QueenC I seem to be the opposite of you with Gap atm - I have just discovered their jeans and really like them. I haven't been into a shop IRL though.

I've been a sheep and copied one of the posters on the winter thread - bought Mac capricious. It is a kind of neutral but better so am pleased with it.

Breton outfit: I would swap the navy Breton for red and the skinnies for my TS button front denim mini and wear with snake print pointy slipper flats. I wore that outfit recently and liked it.

Love all the breton top outfit ideas. I would love a black and white breton but they seem quite thin on the ground.

Need to apologise for ranting about work yesterday. I was fed up with how they were handling an issue that had annoyed me, and also thought that they had decided not to give me a pay rise this year. But they had (just an annual one) so all is forgiven.

Friends in our Arctic hut ( DH's "shed") for a BBQ tomorrow night. I'm roasting red peppers stuffed with olives and tomatoes with garlic right now to serve cold with balsamic dressing, my kitchen smells divine

Not been well today, however I have been very preppy fashionably unwell. top half of me looks like this and bottom half is blue j crew matchstick jeans. My coat of the week, RB Ballet flats, pink strapped blingy watch, this ring and PS13 bag. Matchy matchy heaven.

My sister just came to see me straight from work looking amazing. Black biker jacket, black dress that looks sparkly, biker boots and coach bag.
