I have a pair of Ted Baker slingbacks that are so high I literally can't walk in them

Did a little H&M order yesterday, black skinny high waist trousers for work, and "premium" black ballet flats, the stretchy kind so hopefully they will stay on my feet. Thought they were quite Lanvin-esque in the shape, so I will report back on the quality. Here

I've a beautiful pair of irregular choice wedges in lovely reds and peaches and i've not once worn them outdoors. ive had them maybe five or six years, maybe longer and they've never been worn outside the house. they weren't especially cheap either

They're these Amber - I have an old similar pair that have got a hole in, so I'm hoping they'll be as good even though these aren't fully cotton. The black hardware stops them looking like jeans, so I can get away with them in my office!

I have a pair of black wedges I bought in a rush as I needed them for work, I don't like them at all. Why I still have them I don't know

I need black trouser for when I go back - literally none of my work clothes fit me now but I worry my legs might look parsnippy in trousers that skinny...

The other shoes I never wear are any that were bought as a cheaper version of something. So I bought some studded shoes to satisfy my rockstud craving - didn't work, bought rockstuds, never wear cheap pair.

I think they do make me look a bit parsnippy , which is why I also never buy skinny jeans lighter than indigo! I only wear this sort of trouser with very high heels, too.
I find them useful though and they are a lot easier to buy than "proper" trousers. I wear skirts/dresses 90% of the time so don't have any other trouser recs, sorry.

Aw, can the VW skirt be adjusted?

amber you'll have to eat some cake so that your clothes fit again! In all seriousness though will you put some of the weight back on once you can't run every day? Are you looking forward to going back to work?

bernice none that I've never worn. I've got a few pairs of heels that don't get worn often as I don't go out that much but they do all get worn.

Does anyone ever sometimes hate all their clothes and think everything looks shit . Had a quick trying on session at lunchtime as needed to decide what to wear to fil birthday but ended up feeling crappy about everything. I think I'm just stressed at trying to get everything packed to leave straight after school tomorrow.

Amber what rockstuds do you have? I've been eyeing these up but a bit worried about spending so much money as they've been out a while. Are they reasonably comfortable?

I feel that often QueenC soemtimes I look in my wardrobe(s) and want to cry because I hate everything. Doesn't help that other people are always commenting about my stuff not 'matching' and me not being 'co-ordinated' what does that even mean?!

I have a meeting to go to (kind of like a PTA) and I don't own a black blazer at the moment. Am hoping this will work with skinnies - very tempted to get the Office shoes in black....
Where do Voguettes stand on buying things in multiple colours nowadays..?
In terms of shoes I have never worn - I've worn them all. But there are a few I look at now and know I will never wear again......

QueenC I usually feel that way when I get ready for a night out with the girls. But that's usually because I never think about my outfit in advance. The morning of the wedding last week I realised I had no fake tan, no tights and hadn't thought about a hat or a coat / pashmina / how to keep warm. Last minute dot com.

Queenc I sometimes feel like that even though I think I have a good selection of clothes. I think the solution is ideas on how to put things together better and in new ways rather than buy new stuff. I look at blogs and pin anyway but I will then type in something I have to see different ways of wearing it (sorry if that is all super obvious anyway!)
Blair I have those HM trousers in navy they are great, quite tight but with a lot of stretch so are comfortable. I had to size up in them though, they were tiny.
Marsha hope you have a good time at the opera, you picked the right dress although the pink one is very pretty too.
I love rockstuds, i think they will still be around for a while yet.

happy I have the flat, strappy ones - I wear them more than I do any of my heels. I love them - also have a rockstud bag but the sodding strap keeps breaking.

queen I only actually run 3x a week so that should be quite sustainable even when I'm back at work (I'm only part time). I do circuits with weights 3x a week which should be fine to keep up with too as they only take half an hour and I have weights at home plus their is a gym on campus at work. I don't really want to put weight on but I also don't want to lose any more now!

Blair thanks for the info - think I'll give them a try - like you I find normal trousers an arse to buy.

I have lots of unworn pairs of going out shoes from circa 2001 when I got married and thought I would have lots of occasions to wear them. Turns out I did not. Have never had the heart to get rid of them even though they look very dated now. These days I only have one pair of fancy shoes LK bennett Florisa in soft gold and even they have only been worn a handful of times. I don't get out much

I'd really love the rainbow stripe rockstuds but i'd never spend so much on any pair of shoes for general wear as I walk oddly with the crutches so ruin shoes quickly. maybe wedding shoes

Thanks justa, that's really helpful, although I have ordered a 10 and really hope they're not too small as I have a feeling returns will be a pita! I already had to ring them and rearrange for the order to go to my mum's house as they won't deliver to either work addresses or a store. Ridiculous. So I won't even have them for a while unless I get DM to forward them on!

I'd love the flat Rockstuds as I reckon I would wear them a lot. I have those M&S snakeskin flats shop and still wear them quite often. That jacket will look great. Good luck with your meeting.

My recent shoe purchases all get worn but I have some old going out shoes which I still hang on to.

Blair DH is out and I can't watch any of the stuff we watch together so I am starting on Gossip Girl :)

To answer my own question, I had a look and have 3 pairs of shoes I have never worn. All of them heels which is no surprise to me. One are a pair of snake print ones from the charity shop which are returning there as I prefer my Vagabond pointy snake print flats. Another are mid heel black pointy courts which I think I will wear one day esp if / when I go back to work. And finally a pair of block heeled leopard print sandals I am going to try to wear in the day over the summer.

Blair I like those HM flats. I agree HM are not good with deliveries - I have often had my orders suspended for security reasons (!) and they haven't even told me. Returns seem to be OK normally though, you can even return to a store now.

I'd love some flat rockstuds too

Bernice yes "security reasons" was what I had, but they emailed me and told me to ring them. Fingers crossed...
I like the ugly sandals you've been pinning! I was considering them too, if I am going to be doing lots of walking in China etc I will need them. Fitflop actually had some nice leather ones.

happy I only got my rockstuds recently and I love them they are very comfy.
