Plus size chat thread anyone?

Been trying to get my confidence back, and trying to learn what clothes suit my figure, so would love to chat to others in the same boat.

Got a shopping trip planned for next week, to restock my wardrobe and give me a bit of a boost. Mostly going to be going for places like Primark and New Look (am a size 18/20 so just about stand a chance in there) and maybe Yours.

Can't afford too much unfortunately and so much plus size fashion is more expensive.

So how is everyone else? Get anything new lately? Looking at getting anything? What are your favourite items/looks right now?

Thought I'd revive the thread to see if anyone has any sale purchases to share or has any ideas for Autumn.

Taking Shape has been a revelation. I adore pretty much everything they sell. Their dresses are beautiful and they pretty much always have sales on - I've had some fantastic bargains, 75% off. I have a shop near me but the website has 20% off first orders.

My biggest discovery has been Ex Catalogue shops. I thought they'd be full of nasty unfashionable rubbish and they can be hitty-missy, but when they hit, oh my word. Last year I got a Joe Brown's military coat reduced from £125 to £8 and just last week I bought a gorgeous Simply Be dress for £3.49. They stock all the stuff from the Simply Be/Marisota/JD Williams catalogues but the prices are crackers! If you live in the North East, there's branches in Durham and Sunderland (the Durham one's the best).
