I have really nice, long, dark and thick eyelashes. they look great even without mascara and I have nice, slightly unusual coloured eyes, well, in my family anyway, they are green in the middle and blue in the rest of them. no one else in my family has eyes this colour, everyone else, going back many generations has either grey, hazel or brown.

santamarianovella · 13/02/2015 22:51

I like my waist and tummy, still defined and flat , i have good ass, slim legs,

Don't like my height, and i have boney veiny hands, and I hate my feet,

I'm not against my hair colour or skin tone, but I always wanted to see what it would be like to be blond and pale, with Rosy cheeks and blue eyes, although lots of people say that olive skin is much better, but still grass is greener and all that,

Fedupnagging · 13/02/2015 22:55

Um, good question Queen, I don't know really. I have pretty good skin for my age I think but not particularly enamoured of my body as I see flaws everywhere.

Funnily enough, I found an old photo of me topless on a beach recently, taken about 25 years ago. I looked pretty good - flattish stomach, slim legs and pert boobs. At the time, I thought I was fat. Go figure.

Drywhiteplease · 13/02/2015 22:57

Fedup I'm trying to age well but not too gracefully Grin
I'm happy at last with me. I'm not going to point out the bad bits.
I just focus on wearing clothes that make the best of what I have, keep up with grooming and watch my figure, I'm happy with that. Smile

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2015 23:03

I dunno, I like being me. But try not to think about the individual parts too much.

I only go with how I feel, and that is when I eat well, do some work I enjoy and exercise I feel good.

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2015 23:05

I worried more about stuff when I was younger, which is a pity as looking back I should not have.

Shop it's silly now, but entirety = whole as in you'd prefer to be a whole person not in parts. Brain fluff.

Ujjayi · 13/02/2015 23:05

I'm too scared to have botox despite having a forehead that looks like a freshly ploughed field Grin. I'm scared of not looking like myself anymore. I find a woman's ageing face infinitely more interesting - it's a life lived.

I was quite relaxed about the surgery until the morning of the op & panicked - started talking "if ... happens" with DH & basically turned to jelly. Then I had a hefty pre-med & turned into Patsy Stone/Edina Monsoon Grin.

The things I love about my body are my back, arms & shoulders. My lips, nose & cheek bones are good too.

Anyone watching Graham Norton? Love Julie Walters. The Christian Grey cake was just damn weird Shock

MarshaBrady · 13/02/2015 23:21

Is pin giving anyone else the cold sweats by logging them out?

sleepwhenidie · 13/02/2015 23:44

Feeling much better after dinner and some v nice red wine with DSis and BIL. They are house sitting and have v kindly offered us their car for France, so we will be off again for a mammoth drive first thing tomorrow!

Body love...my eyes and shoulders would be top of the list. For the first time I also actually like my bum (deadlifts and squats making it rounder, higher and firmer). And while I can't say I love my tummy I have finally accepted it and feel fond of it Smile. It was never flat, even pre dc's, I've accepted it won't ever be, at least not at the expense of the rest of me! When I did get a proper six pack I looked 5 years older and DH, who generally is too smart to pass comment, wasn't keen Smile. Now I'm happy knowing it's in there and tbh, enjoy what my body can do more than what it looks like Grin

sleepwhenidie · 13/02/2015 23:52

The looking back thing-thinking 'I must have been insane to be worried, I was gorgeous'...you do know we're all going to do that again in 10-15 years time about how we look now...right? Wink

libertychick · 13/02/2015 23:57

Glad things are sorted sleep. Good luck for the drive tomorrow. You are spot on about enjoying what your body can do rather than how it looks.

Ujjayi · 13/02/2015 23:58

Sleep - glad you are back on track for holiday. That thing "I wish I'd appreciated myself back then" I do that but you're right we should appreciate how we look now.

Marsha I seem to be constantly logged out of Pin at the moment. So frustrating.

libertychick · 13/02/2015 23:59

And YY about looking back!

Ujjayi · 14/02/2015 00:48

Watching Gosford Park, feeling envious of Kristin S-T's dressing gown & roll top baths & trying not to nod off.

Are flat knee high boots with skinnies to Duchess Kate? (Ironically I ended up buying the same R&B boots as hers, quite by coincidence, last December. It was only when I pinned them that I realised..they are beautiful though) Am out for lunch tomorrow & considering black skinny trousers with said boots, black slouchy knit & silver bracelets. Opinions welcome.

I am finally starting to put together a wardrobe wishlist - 2 actually: one for SS & the other AW - & will start pinning ideas soon (I have way too many boards).

Ujjayi · 14/02/2015 00:50

"too" obvs not "to Duchess Kate"

MarshaBrady · 14/02/2015 07:45

Ujj I'm still keen as I think they can be a nice alternative to ankle boots. I should wear mine more.

Yes agree on the looking back thing, I don't stress now. Also slightly related, on a tangent, I had a full check up and all was good but happy to say my cholesterol levels were low since halving number of eggs for breakfast. Also I have increased runs but can't see that changing it.

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2015 07:46

marsha Pinterest has been annoying me for a while. I've deleted the app on iPad, find it hard to link and irritated by all the new stuff.
Good luck with the trip today Sleep

Fedupnagging · 14/02/2015 08:25

Morning. I get loads of pins from people I'm not following and ones 'picked for me', does everyone get this now?

I link from the main pinterest site but it runs really slow on the iPad so use the app for browsing. Agree though, it's all very annoying.

Am meeting a friend this morning and think I will wear my navy maison scotch skinnies, red check shirt from Zara with navy FCUK jumper over the top and pettys.

Ujjayi your outfit sounds great - love a stack if silver bangles. Yes to the boots too as an alternative to ankle boots.

QueenCardigan · 14/02/2015 08:28

Yay glad that's sorted sleep. I agree with looking back. I should have embraced my stomach back then before stretch marks got to it but tbh it's always been the part of me ive always been self conscious of.

I've met most of you and seen pictures of others and I'd say that we're all looking pretty damn fine Smile.

ujayyi I still wear my knee length boots occasionally as I like them with black jeans. Although not on trend as such I think it's a classic look.

Karbea · 14/02/2015 08:30

I like my shoulders, I don't like my nose or eyebrows.I miss my abs too, but it's so hard to keep them perfect, I like chocolate and carbs too much.

GeorginaWorsley · 14/02/2015 08:40

Sounds good to me Ujayyi
I seem to be wearing a combination of coated skinnies in either black or grey, ivory or grey jumper, leather converse or Ash,grey cashmere scarf or grey and ivory cashmere scarf and dep on weather either grey jersey biker or beige cocoon knitted coat.
Re bodies,I'm at my thinnest for 20 years but although I love my size now I miss my rather larger breastsGrin

QueenCardigan · 14/02/2015 08:48

Happy valentines Voguettes

Karbea · 14/02/2015 08:55

Happy valentines day ladies!

What is everyone wearing tonight?

I can't decide whether to wear this (mine is the actual Gucci dress, not the chinese copy!) or the red MK dress I got from the outnet the other day. Or maybe my purple and black halston dress. We are getting the train, then a cab and then probably a tube home. But I'm worried with both the red dresses I couldn't really wear thick black tights and I'll be cold :(

BrandyAlexander · 14/02/2015 09:25

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Thanks No idea what I am wearing this evening, or even today! Dh and I went out for dinner last night and I wore a black Phase 8 Rhona lace dress. Beautiful ruched dress and very flattering.
