We are so over winter and cannot wait for Spring/Summer 2015 to hit the rails - come and chat about clothes, make up, sparkles and shoes. All styles, tastes and budgets are welcome.

Gosh you lot were busy last night/this morning on here!

I had one of those horrible meltdowns of the "nothing to wear" variety last night. DH is fab - he just quietly gets ready and then goes to chat with the babysitter, closing the door behind him and leaving me to have my "moment" alone Grin . The trouble is, I am in this weird transition phase as I said before where I suddenly feel the need to dress like a grown up with a Parisian edge (is that even a look? I think you know what I mean!) and I have very few items which fit the bill. Dry's outfit was exactly what I wanted to wear. In the end I was pleased with what I put together here

Dry do you have a link to your skirt? I'm trying to suss out if my machine will cope with sewing leather because an A-line skirt is such an easy thing to make and I know exactly what I want. Not sure it would be any cheaper than buying though and I have no idea where to source leather from...not sure I even want to google that!

Shop if you mean the "Nothing To Wear" tee then it is a slouched but neat fit (does that make sense?) and is true to size.

Exciting news on Shop's and Novice's holiday arrangements.

Santa I think Liam was good looking in a rough male model kinda way - his bone structure is amazing. But not sure that he will age that well.

What did you think to Gone Girl? I thought it was a really good movie, despite it getting panned by critics. Enjoyed the book too.

Cartoontrickster - Those RI boots are lovely. I have worn mostly worn suede boots this winter except on very wet days. They have survived and actually I quite like them a little more "worn". That Warehouse coat is also gorgeous.

Amber & QueenC both outfits from last night sound great. Lovely when DH's give that kind of compliment. Makes me sparkle from the inside - mega confidence boost IMO.

Busy day again today but will pop along to the shop in an hour and check out the IM boots situation for Lib and Shop Smile

QueenCardigan · 31/01/2015 11:24

lib its arrived!!! Flowers
Love your outfit board ujjayi
I wish I'd just been watching ballet. Instead I had to listen to a bunch of kids posing violin and cello. Not good with a hangover.

libertychick · 31/01/2015 12:00

Oh great QueenC! Hope you love it!

Oooh santa I just googled and it's 'only' 5.5 hours drive to Paris from here.

Now all I need to do is convince DH to drive there and back for a quick shopping spree with two small DC in the back of the car. Grin

Drywhiteplease · 31/01/2015 12:22

betty if you like HOC you'd love West Wing ( if you haven't seen already), Game of Thrones is axing but a bit mind blowing.
uj will link skirt if I can when home. It might be on my wardrobe pin board.
shop so pleased that your holiday is still on Smile

I actually felt great in my black leather skirt/ black polo combo last night. It's not that exciting but received compliments so that was nice .
QueenC that was lovely of your DH

Fedupnagging · 31/01/2015 12:46

Glad everyone had a great night out last night. I did too, lots of pink champagne and homemade food.

Love your dress Queen and great outfit Ujjayi. I really must work out how to put several pictures on one pin frame.

Shop really pleased you've got 2 holidays booked this year. You sound like you are getting organised.

We finished watching HOC over Christmas and have now started on West Wing from the beginning and really enjoying it.

Another good series that we watched is Newsroom. We watched the last ever episode a couple of weeks ago and am ever so slightly sad it's all over.

Ujjayi · 31/01/2015 13:02

Fedup I use Framatic app on my iPhone for collage photos.

Drywhiteplease · 31/01/2015 13:43

Ujj my leather skirt

cartoontrickster · 31/01/2015 14:23

lychee martinis sound yum!
i want the boots even more now! hopefully they will go with pretty much everything. Dh isn't convinced though haha. i know they are hardly a considered purchase but i feel guilty spending 45quid on myself.

AmberNectarine · 31/01/2015 14:30

They were delicious but deadly. Finally recovered enough to get dress, am wearing grey cashmere v neck with HL leather leggings and my bright red toga Pulla boots which are fast becoming my favourites. Tartan scarf, Marant ear cuffs and grey Cos cashmere beanie to accessorise. Off bowling - so glam!

Ujjayi · 31/01/2015 15:31

Shop & Dry they don't have the IM boots in the store now but they have another store & will check there & come back to me with prices etc. Might not be until Tuesday - they are closed Mondays.

I almost got sidetracked by a divine Peter Pilotto dress - the surface pattern was a stunning blend of organza, tweed & crepe - very fashion student creation but in a good way!

Amber your outfit sounds like a perfect blend of comfort & style.

shopafrolic · 31/01/2015 15:39

Thanks for asking Ujjayi really kind of you x

AmberNectarine · 31/01/2015 15:41

Looks a lot less stylish with bowling shoes.

Ujjayi · 31/01/2015 15:46

You're welcome Smile

Amber bowling shoes make me weep Grin. And I always forget that our local place allows you to wear trainers/converse instead. So DH & DCs look normal & I look like Coco the feckin Clown Confused

shopafrolic · 31/01/2015 15:47

Outfit minus the bowling shoes sounds fab Amber

libertychick · 31/01/2015 15:54

Thanks ujjayi Smile

Oh M&S are really taking the p£&* now!

They responded by saying that it's a legal requirement they put the value of the item on the customs declaration and not what has been paid. Hmm

Really?! I have e-mailed them back saying I want to know what legal requirement they are referring to and also that I argue that the value of an item is what has been paid for it.

And I've also asked to escalate my complaint but something tells me I'm waisting my breath. I'm not on twitter but I might complain on facebook if need be.

QueenCardigan · 31/01/2015 17:39

That's shocking customer service linus

Drywhiteplease · 31/01/2015 17:42

I'm reclining ladies Grin.........out with the girls this evening and really uninspired clothes wise. The easy option would be leather pencil skirt because none of them have seen it but seems a bit boring to wear it for a second night running Shock

I agree, bowling shoes make me not want to go bowling.

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2015 17:43

How frustrating Linus nothing worse than infuriating cs.

I have been for a bracing run, felt good.
Now in a lasagne cook off with dh. Me - courgette / vegetable him- normal.

shopafrolic · 31/01/2015 17:45

Cook off sounds awesome Marsha I have just made a big pan of ratatouille but I've over seasoned it at the end - not sure how to salvage now :(
Dry CPW on that leather skirt is brilliant - perfect for you.

Ujjayi · 31/01/2015 17:53

Linus hope your m&s drama comes to an end soon.

Marsha - love running on days like today: utterly revitalizing.

Dry I would go for the leather skirt again. Why change a winning formula?!

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2015 17:54

Oh no Shop might not be so bad with crusty bread? Great news on the holiday btw!

I don't think I should attempt to catch up now, will just jump back in.

Ds is on his third helping of lasagne (dh's)

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2015 17:55

Ujjayi I agree wholeheartedly! it was just a few of us running, I loved it. This is the perfect temperature for me, cold is good.

shopafrolic · 31/01/2015 18:08

I'm not a runner - can't kid myself that I ever will be. But i LOVE Pilates. I've spent today with my instructor getting a new, more local class set up, helped her with her FB page etc. V excited. Means I can do 2 or 3 sessions a week :)
I bet I'd love the veggie one Marsha :)
