linus that's bloody annoying baring in mind they got the knicker quantities wrong! Btw I bought some of those miraculous no vpl m and s knickers the other day, incredible, eve n under gym Lycra.

Love lasagne and ratatouille . Could eat Ambrosia creamed rice very late to this convo out of the tin, and bananas and custard ...yum! Infact any thing with custard, makes me feel all warm and cosy and usually take a little nap after eating the stuff. Grin

Hi all. Getting very frustrated trying to sort out honeymoon destination I said I wouldn't get involved but I have to help pick where we're going. Any suggestions? It's going to be 5 nights Mon-Sat, we want warmth if not heat, good food, not a city break as we want to mostly chill rather than sightsee. We don't do beach lazing usually but would consider it. Not long haul (max 5 hours maybe). Have looked at Italy but it seems that it would be too cold, otherwise I would love to do Lake Como. Not France as we're going in August, not Morocco (no desire to go), not Dubai (just had an argument with DP about why I won't go there). Help?

Dry another great outfit, have fun!

Lasagnes and ratatouille is making me hungry!

Karbea · 31/01/2015 18:39

Lake Como won't be cold in August. I went to Italy for my first honeymoon we were married in late June and went to Italy, it wasn't at all cold.

Karbea · 31/01/2015 18:41

Arrrr totally misread your post! When is your honeymoon?

muddlingalongquitenicely · 31/01/2015 18:55

Evening everyone, back from a busy day which started off early with hairdressers and eye brow tint. Then a trip to Birmingham came back with a few items.
got a biker jacker from mango reduced from £60 to £20 (on a pin board) a lovely plum jumper from Victoria secrets (cant find a picture to pin) and 2 slouchy grey long sleeved t shirts from there as well.
large bag of goodies from forever 21 mainly basic items got my first navy and white stripy long sleeved top, 2 t shirts in peacock and royal blue. Grey/heather tube skirt and a reddish spotty blouse.

Tried the coral/pinks/lilac basic t shirts and they did nothing for me =(

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 31/01/2015 19:14

Oh sorry Karbea! What an idiot I am. Mid April. :)

Now looking at Sicily, I found one website that said average temp would be 12 degrees and another said 19 Confused

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:28

Maybe add some more tinned tomatoes to dilute it a bit shop?

Just ordered these

The discount is great and I've always wanted to try them after lib recommended them. She said to size down so I took two sizes smaller than my TS Leigh skinnies. Shock

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:30

That hotel looks gorgeous karbea!

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:32

Sardinia or Capri or Santorini blair?

OneLittleLady · 31/01/2015 19:40

Hi everyone.

Feeling a bit delicate today, didn't sleep well last night but i'm toughing it out. all this talk of foos is making me hungry, marsha save some lasagna for me!

hit up the charity shop again today and got a BNWT stripey gap dress, a crossover front grey cashmere and angora sweater, a short sleeve merino sweater BNWT in black and grey and a long black cotton boyfriend style cardigan. dress will do nicely for sightseeing with sandals and a wrap for if it gets chilly. short sleeve sweater will go under my pinafore dresses for spring and the grey sweater will be lovely and warm while it's cold Smile

QueenCardigan · 31/01/2015 19:44

What about Ibiza? It's meant to be gorgeous away from the clubbing parts. Or the Canary Islands although don't know much about them but a bit further south so may be warmer? Or Cyprus? Portugal?

QueenCardigan · 31/01/2015 19:45

Just seen these on pin. Far too high for me but lovely.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 31/01/2015 19:50

I was supposed to go in to Dune and Kurt Geiger today but completely forgot and also forgot to buy a new belt even though i spent most of the day pulling up my jeans which are a bit looser atm

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:50

one have you considered Melatonin to help you sleep?

When I had a spell of insomnia a couple of years ago (I have always been a rubbish sleeper but sometimes it really gets bad) my GP prescribed me some Melatonin as a temporary aid.

It really helps and you don't feel groggy the next day so I still use it occasionally. As it's prescription only here I usually buy it over the counter in the US or Singapore (and I even saw it in the health foods isle in an Italian supermarket Shock )

Maybe you can ask your GP if it would work with the meds you are currently taking?

Karbea · 31/01/2015 19:51

linus it was an amazing honeymoon - Venice, Verona (for the open air opera) and then bellagio... Glad my now dh can't read this. We went to Mauritius which was amazing!

Will have a think blair but my gut is to avoid Europe if you want to hedge your bets with good weather. I wanted to stay in Europe for my second honeymoon, but we were married early May and decided on Mauritius.

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:51

Btw, I LOVE Judi Dench! Watching the Graham Norton Show atm.

OneLittleLady · 31/01/2015 19:56

linus it might be worth me asking my gp. I'm not sure what I can actually take with everything I already have prescribed but it can't hurt to ask can it

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 19:57

OMG Karbea we stayed at the Oberoi on Mauritius the year after our honeymoon.

Maybe they thought we were still newlyweds as we got a massive upgrade to a villa with it's own pool.

Oh and I still speak of the Best Club Sandwich Ever that I ate at the restaurant at the beach one lunchtime. I was gutted I couldn't finish it as it was perfection. No club sandwich has ever come close since.

Karbea · 31/01/2015 20:05

linus amazing hotel and food. Did you have dinner on the pier?

LinusDKD · 31/01/2015 20:12

No, we left that to the honeymooners. Wink
