Calling in to say I love all the links.
ujayyi
I love your pinsSmile
I remember your leopard print coat thread well as it inspired me to buy one.
The lively voguettes then persuaded me to wear itGrin

Am so fed up now of boots and coats.
I seem to wear combination of some type of skinny, long sleeved tee, jumper and boots every day.
Off to lanzarote at easter so am busily planning lovely warm weather outfits...

GeorginaWorsley · 03/02/2015 08:53

Ha bloody phone
You lovely Voguettes, although you may be lively as wellGrin

libertychick · 03/02/2015 09:17

Have you been lurking at a meet up Georgina? You would definitely get the lively view from those Grin

Clarks Yarra boots have arrived. Need to try with a few different things but they are likely to be keepers I think.

Cos order also arrived. This dress is lovely, great quality but it's a bit short on me and I don't want to wear it with skinnies so it's going back - Karbea I think you are shorter than me (I am 5' 6) so may be worth trying out.

These trousers are hideous on me, really bad. Note for future reference - avoid the dropped crotch look like the plague!

Oatmeal sweater is a keeper but I knew it would be as I previously had the fuchsia version.

Light snow here too. DD v excited.

I sat up until nearly 2am hunting for autumn skirts Blush. Did a huge Boden and John Lewis order. Can't even remember the half of what I ordered so that does not bode well. Edjit that I am!

OK! Radio 2 has just inspired a question for today. Do you have a favourite fashion / style related song? I've just a little bop around to Paulo Nutini 'New Shoes'. Perfect!

Hey, I put some new shoes on,
And suddenly everything is right,
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling,
It's so inviting,
Oh, short on money,
But long on time,
Slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,
And I'm running late,
And I don't need an excuse,
'Cause I'm wearing my brand new shoes.

Have a great day everyone Smile

Morning. Another rough day in the Cardigan household. Ds and dd still coughing loads. I've got a temperature. Joy of joys.

shop I love the thought of flares and have started a pin board of looks. I just can't get past the fact that they look so 90s/00s. My default going out outfit was flared black trousers and pointy shoes/boots which seems to be a lot of the looks on net a porter. I think until it becomes a bit more mainstream you may risk looking terribly dated instead of fashion forward. And I still haven't worked out what footwear to wear with my flared jeans.

dry from what I've read it all seems to be about the stan smiths still or the Adidas ones thatbshop mentioned. I don't think that you'll look bad though if you still wear nbs.

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 09:38

lib has to be The Farms a Groovy Train for me....baggy jeans and long blonde hair. That was me at the time!

LinusDKD · 03/02/2015 09:53

Have to think about your music question lib, tricky.

Btw, I finally posted your 'card' yesterday

I saw these flares on a blog this week and I am tempted but they are OOS in most sizes.

Rough night as poorly DH kept tossing and turning Sad I'm the only one who hasn't been ill yet so I guess it's only a matter of time.

Hope you and your DC feel better soon queenc!

novice how are you feeling?

libertychick · 03/02/2015 09:55

Thanks linus Wink

Link doesn't work anymore but they are the MOTO clean-cut flared jeans.

Undortunately searching for these on the Topshop website doesn't work either but they are on my S/S pin wishlist.

I don't think I can do flares. Thighs are too big so the proportions would be all wrong.

Karbea I can't remember your size, could you do a 6? This IM dress is gorgeous but only left in 6 and 16

I am having a shopping frenzy. Just did a HoF order, (4 skirts and a blouse) and now this Vince silk shirt. Need to stop! Most will be returns, I have just suddenly become hugely frustrated at having no clothes.

Stokey · 03/02/2015 11:06

Thanks Ujj it looks lovely - possibly too nice for my grubby kids!

Umbria is nice too Blair. Some friends got married in this old monastry by Orvieto, very romantic. But you probably want to go a bit further south to get some warmth.

My first thought to your question Liberty was "Same jeans" ... "I've had the same jeans on for four days now...", but thst is just this time of year!

Then I thought of getting ready to go out and listening to

"I've got my lipstick on, I've got my Bucci bag"

I love flares - old hippy Blush

libertychick · 03/02/2015 11:55

Love it stokey. Ready to rock! I miss that part of my teens and 20's. Friday night, getting ready to go out with flatmates. Music blarring, flugging cider, smells of fake tan, elnett and perfume. Getting all nostalgic. Must text some of my old friends!

libertychick · 03/02/2015 11:56

That was supposed to be glugging... Bloomin autocorrect.

Morning!

QueenC hope all the Cardigans are better soon.

Lib you're on a roll with your new autumn look. Love the jumper and Clarks boots. Good question re. fashion/music links. I associate the britpop years with uni social life, going out in long black skinny skirt with airwalk trainers, skinny tee and denim jacket. Particularly Pulp Common People '...she studied sculpture at St Martin's college' as was friends with someone doing precisely that!

Shop yes to trying flares here Smile. Don't want to look boho though, maybe something like this (without baring my midriff though).

OneLittleLady · 03/02/2015 12:10

I associate the brit pop years with secondary school and the boys all fighting over whether blur or oasis was better and deciding which girls they fancied based on which of those two bands they liked. I was never fancied, they thought I was too short and too weird Blush

QueenCardigan · 03/02/2015 12:23

Ah the Britpop years. Those were the days. Levi's 501s, Docs and lots of cider and black!

The next order arrived. Great stuff for the dc as usual. Absolutely shocking stuff for me. Really weird huge fit despite ordering size 6 tops. But to get me in the mood for summer I've just ordered silver saltwater sandals.

shopafrolic · 03/02/2015 12:33

Lib so pleased you ordered the Vince shirt - I saw it and was going to link it for you.
Can anyone talk me through Cos sizing on trousers? I might be about to order something WAY out of my comfort zone.
Lib I love Paolo and love that song too. Will have to look through iTunes and come back to you
QueenC, Linus and anyone else with poorly DCs - sending tea and good vibes your way.
I had a 2 hour massage and facial this morning at my friend's salon. My Xmas present from DH. Lovely and relaxing and a good old gossip. Fab :)

libertychick · 03/02/2015 12:57

Shop 40 is 14 in Cos I think TBH their sizing is so erratic I would order a couple of sizes to try. Delivery is £6 but you get free returns.

santamarianovella · 03/02/2015 13:15

Come on shop, you know our song, pet shop boys Absloutely Fabulous Wink

bettykt · 03/02/2015 13:32

Shop I love flares in fact I still have a pair of Serfontaine ones that cost an arm and leg from Selfridges many moons ago. I wear them in the summer, slightly long, with wedge sandals. Can't do skinnies in summer they are my winter jeans.

Liberty fab spree love the Vince shirt you linked and that dress you linked for Karbea

QueenC and Linus sorry to hear you still have poorly households, it's been quite prolonged now hasn't it, wish someone could magic it away for you and everyone is right as rain Flowers

My song would have to be Depeche Mode - Something to do. I'd put your leather boots on, I'd put your pretty dress on. I love that song and it transports me back way in time where the only thing that mattered was music.

santamarianovella · 03/02/2015 13:38

linus & queen hope the poorly members of your families are better today,

I got my period today and I'm all weepy Sad, I don't know why, I went to the toilet at work and cried abit, I had an appointment , with someone and was very close to breakdown and cry specially when I had to fake a laugh,my eyes just welled up. Anyone is like that during period?

I got a MIH Marrakesh kick flares, but they are not that flare, I don't like the new ones, so won't buy them.

LinusDKD · 03/02/2015 14:04

Who was looking for a linen jumper? I like this one

Only one colour atm but I'm sure they'll do more.

santa I can get a bit emotional and weepy when I have my periods (going to start any day now) but not every time and not too bad. But you have had a lot on your plate lately and maybe your hormones are just a bit out of whack? (((Hugs)))

Love that Vince shirt lib!

shop I have a voucher for a massage at a fancy hotel nearby (also x-mas present from DH) but I just haven't had the time to make an appointment yet. Blush

I am looking at holiday rentals in Provence for July, some of the properties are to die for (but also ££££) Does anyone have any recommendations?
