I liked ( and bought) this in black www.marksandspencer.com/v-neck-jumper/p/p22379655 - obv usual website disclaimer. Pity not in a better fabric but will look ace with a vest under and my leatherette trousers.

also this coat was LOVELY in grey www.marksandspencer.com/buttonsafe-wool-blend-double-breasted-coat-with-cashmere/p/p22312160

and would have liked this if not so long www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-rich-striped-pencil-skirt/p/p22357825 here

That's interesting, I went to Marks last week and was very disappointed. Lots of things that were nearly right but not quite- skater skirts that were too long, oversize coats that were too big across the shoulders, nude shoes that were too beige. Came out with one shirt.

honeylou42 · 25/01/2015 08:40

The coat is lovely my dd has the orange one and it looks fab. Love the skirt too that would be nice for summer Smile

GertrudePerkins · 25/01/2015 08:45

jumper v. nice
not convinced by the others but agree website always ropey

I want to go to Banana Republic today to look for new work trews, so might have a rummage in M&S en route. quite like the look of this blouse but not seen it in the flesh.

TheHappinessTrap · 25/01/2015 08:54

I restrict my m&s shopping to pants and bras, but when online recently to restock pants I took a look through the sale. I found a wool coat at £60, marked down from £200. I was surprised when it arrived that I really liked it. The wool is very nice, the lining is well constructed and think, and it's warm. I usually wear a north face parka so I was surprised to feel so warm in the wool. I bought a twiggy skirt last year. The length was wrong, far too long, but I took it up and it's been one of my staples. The colour and cut of it is great.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 25/01/2015 09:07

The coat and skirt look nice. I've seen these online, and plan to buy www.marksandspencer.com/suede-stain-away-albert-flat-pointed-toe-pumps-with-insolia-flex/p/p22365916

tethersend · 25/01/2015 09:15

M&S really need to sort their clothes styling out. I don't like the look of any of those things on the website, but I'm fully aware that the pics probably bear no resemblance to the actual items.

Armpitt · 25/01/2015 09:15

What the fuck the were doing with the blue and black ribbon I dunno. It hangs much better than on the site. Baggy but fitted. Limited has lots of crop t shirts. Autograph lots of silk shirts yes. And roll necks like an American tourist.

Gertrude. I did a thread about BR triusers last week. Had a result

Like the coat. And the shoes....

Ch-ching. Every time I hit this board.

I love those shoes, shame I didn't spot them on last weeks 20% off night. I am now saving anything I like so I can swoop when there is a 20% off, which does seem fairly regular.

Bunbaker · 25/01/2015 09:35

Nope. sorry, I don't like any of those. At my age I would just look frumpy in the coat.

A jumper with a V neck at the back kind of defeats the object of wearing a jumper for me. It is as pointless as a jumper with three quarter length sleeves IMO.

And I just don't like the skirt at all. Being pear shaped I would look horrendous in it.

Armpitt · 25/01/2015 09:36

thanks for that though! Grin

the jumper is for the evening

cheers for trousers linky

I have terrible thunder thighs though so can't go to slim for fear of sausage skin legs, hence need to try on rather than order on line.

SirChenjin · 25/01/2015 09:45

I bought a pair of jeggings from M&S last week (I know, double shame...) and actually, they have been brilliant. High waist, so hold in my stomach (triple shame..) and are still nice and clingy. Even DD, who at 15 is brutally honest, tells me they look like really skinny jeans and suit me (praise indeed)

NoArmaniNoPunani · 25/01/2015 09:49

I thought this was going to be a laughing at the per una range thread. :(

lurkingaround · 25/01/2015 09:53

Oh I like those BR trews a lot! How are they IRL?

frankietwospots · 25/01/2015 09:56

Like the skirt - one for my Pinterest board.

I think they're doing 20% off on Monday?

This navy wrap blouse is my latest M&S purchase and it's gorgeous on. Looks way more expensive in real life: www.marksandspencer.com/wrapped-long-sleeve-blouse/p/p22324692

MrsCampbellBlack · 25/01/2015 09:58

I like the style of the jumper but mostly acrylic which I just can't do [precious]

GeorginaWorsley · 25/01/2015 10:05

I've just had the navy textured jersey bomber jacket that is very Whistles imo Smile
(Sorry phone not doing links )
And a very pale silver grey fine knot biker cardigan that reminds me of The White Company ones.
I had a 5£ discount voucher too.

GeorginaWorsley · 25/01/2015 10:06

Knit cardigan, not knot. Grin

frankietwospots · 25/01/2015 10:10

This bomber jacket GeorginaWorsley? www.marksandspencer.com/textured-bomber-jacket/p/p22360009#bvHeader

Could be a very useful piece that and good reviews too.

frankietwospots · 25/01/2015 10:13

Fancy these heels with navy cropped trousers too: www.marksandspencer.com/patent-pointed-toe-court-shoes-with-insolia/p/p22340040

BillStickersIsInnocent · 25/01/2015 10:13

Why has everything in marks now got a cutesy trademark thing? Buttonsafe, no peep, storm wear, staynew etc. wtf does it all mean? And why can't they invest all that nervous energy around 'new technologies' into just making decently cut clothes with nice fabrics. Really annoys me!
