I liked ( and bought) this in black www.marksandspencer.com/v-neck-jumper/p/p22379655 - obv usual website disclaimer. Pity not in a better fabric but will look ace with a vest under and my leatherette trousers.

also this coat was LOVELY in grey www.marksandspencer.com/buttonsafe-wool-blend-double-breasted-coat-with-cashmere/p/p22312160

and would have liked this if not so long www.marksandspencer.com/cotton-rich-striped-pencil-skirt/p/p22357825 here

That grey coat is lovely though

Bunbaker · 25/01/2015 10:53

I agree Bill. I don't know what half of these things mean.

GeorginaWorsley · 25/01/2015 10:54

frankie
Yes,that is the one.
It is really nice.
I had some navy ankle boots from Marks before Xmas that always get compliments too.
I think there are some gems in amongst the rubbish.
I have said before the problem with marks is too much stuff aimed at too big a market.
Simplify!

mupperoon · 25/01/2015 11:01

I actually think this season's Per Una is better than usual - less twiddle for the sake of it. I got the grey/yellow duffle coat - it's beautifully made and cheers me up every time I put it on.

Also a lot of love for M&S jeggings which actually FIT.

Brillenbar · 25/01/2015 11:37

Ive just ordered this thought it looked quite whistles-esque. www.marksandspencer.com/palm-print-bodycon-dress/p/p22357670 hasn't arrived yet, also can't work out whether there is blue in the dress or if print is just white. We'll see. I haven't managed to buy anything from marks for ages it just never fits.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2015 12:19

I really like the shape of the jumper - very me, and I like a little peep of back of an evening - but HATE that their knitwear is nearly all either acrylic or cashmere. I'd love a wool/silk/cotton mix for example.

I went in last week and thought nearly everything was absolutely disgusting, and I'm usually a Marks fan for certain bits and pieces. The Birmingham store was all icecream pink, paired with apple green, with occasional splashes of orange. It was hideous.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2015 12:20

This is a good example of the disgusting pink stuff

DaftSkunk · 25/01/2015 12:56

I quite like that dress remus, just wish it wasn't in pink!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2015 13:03

Unusually for M&S, it is even worse irl.

noddyholder · 25/01/2015 13:05

Haha I have the jumper! I LOVE the coat but bought similar recently in Cos.

noddyholder · 25/01/2015 13:07

I like the skirt length I am not tall enough for the stripes but have a friend who wears that sort of length and she looks so good in them. Its an adjustment as I wear a lot of fuller midis and now wouldn't be without.

RingtheBells · 25/01/2015 13:44

I love Mark's but remarked on the frump thread that when I went in yesterday, it was a sea of yellow and green cashmillion, it was all a bit overwhelming

noddyholder · 25/01/2015 13:45

I don't mind a bit of synthetic in some things helps the drape/skim if you have boobs!

Armpitt · 25/01/2015 14:02

They have beautiful array of green and blue shades in their cashmere. Beautiful. All shoved at thd back of marble arch in plastic.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2015 14:04

I like their cashmere, but I'd also like to be able to buy other nice jumpers there, which are not as warm/expensive as cashmere but are not bloody acrylic or, even worse, 'cashmilon' i.e. acrylic pretending to be something nice.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 25/01/2015 14:11

I'm quite bummed that their cashmere round neck looks awful on me. Even DH commented on how unflattering it was. It made me look heavy - I could return it fast enough. Really disappointing as would love to buy my cashmere there - lots of colours, discounts, and M&S lady said they use long fibres. So, they are prob fab on a different body shape than mine.

Bunbaker · 25/01/2015 14:13

The problem with clicking on the links on this thread is that I am now getting ads featuring the worst M and S has to offer down the side of my Mumsnet.

I wish I hadn't clicked on that vile pink dress Grin

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 25/01/2015 14:56

Nice palm print dress, Brillenbar - hope it works out as a good, slim print dress is great, but hard to find.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/01/2015 15:12

Bunbaker - but it's, 'This season's must-have' dontchaknow?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/01/2015 15:24

I bought an emerald green sweater from PER BLOODY UNA last week. I'm only 42. Help!

Lardylassnomore · 25/01/2015 15:50

I was in there yesterday and today. I hate that shade of green that M and s are currently selling. Does anyone look good in it?

BestIsWest · 25/01/2015 16:51

I went in there looking for a sweater this week I just wanted a black, round neck, merino or fine wool sweater. Surely not too much to ask?

Lambzig · 25/01/2015 17:25

Frankie, I ordered that blouse yesterday after they sent me a 25% off voucher, glad to hear it's nice.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 25/01/2015 17:40

That bodycon palm dress looks fab, I love that shape and the print is classy.

Armpitt · 25/01/2015 17:57

they do that palm print in a silk shirt too
