Novice Thomas Cook is v similar to Easyjet i.e no frills. I would go for the direct flights even with those timings as the stopover makes it a v long journey with little ones. How old are your dc? Depends on how well they can cope with disrupted bedtimes . My dd are fine with it but then they are a bit older now at 10, 8. DS would prob struggle a bit as he is 4.

Also wondering about the bloggers and cold ankles. I saw a v trendy male student today wearing very skinny cropped jeans and white plimsoles with no socks, I shivered just looking at him.
Great jeans and shirt Mara I love light skinnies in summer.
Blair I ordered the Alpha Gold stuff you linked a while ago. There was a mn 15% discount. Have you used it yet?
Those of you who got the Hush PJs, how did you find the sizing? I ordered the S/m and they are huge. I also got DH some in L, his usual size in Next, Gap and his are massive too. Bit annoyed will have to fork out for return postage. I am finding sizing in general all over the place atm. I can be anything from a size 6 to 12 atm. Makes online ordering v difficult.

santamarianovella · 28/01/2015 22:19

I've never flown Thomas cook either novice, but the stop is a big no no for me too, but I think it's the lesser of two evils, or what I'd totally do is choose another destination with direct.

linus hope your dd is better,

ujjayi I love that marant jacket, and a good bargin,

kris Jenner scares me Sad, why does she dress like that, it's so desperate and gross and just trashy, On the other hand ines de la fressange who is of a similar age looks phenomenal,in simple black navy and white, so effortless and chic.
I want to be an ines when I grow up not kris! I hope my kids intervene if i have a mid life crisis and start dressing like that .
Look what your link did queen Grin i didn't even see any couture gowns just front rows!

Have been thinking about Shop's questions...

  1. Thanks to drooling over Novice's I would love a Boodles Raindance ring
  2. Oldest thing in my wardrobe is a flared brown, white and navy striped Zara linen skirt - I've had it for about 10 years.
  3. Blue used to be my default colour, will see how I go as an autumn. I am loving orange ATM
justasecond · 28/01/2015 22:29

Hello to Ujayi love those IM trousers, they look great how they are styled in the pin Queenc linked.
Lib I love that cardi it looks so soft! and I do love camel even if it doesn't love me.
Shop great stripey dress for your hols (and if we get any sun here this year)

libertychick · 28/01/2015 22:35

Justa I forgot to thank you for pointing me towards Sandro for wedge trainers. I'll keep an eye on them.

Karbea · 28/01/2015 22:39

The flight is fairly short so I'd go with the Thomas cook flight. Stopovers are horrible. Thomas cook isn't great, but they aren't that bad, we normally fly club but our last flight was about 4hrs with Thomas cook my dh just put on his earphones that block out all noise and fell asleep, I did my normal facial routine and read magazines before we knew it, it was over. You can suffer pretty much anything for 4hrs ;)

justasecond · 28/01/2015 22:39

Oh yes I forgot the questions too..

  1. I would get a bag, prob a celine belt bag or even a hobo which I think Linus has? I saw one in Bicester a few weeks ago it was tdf.
  2. Oldest thing, a white Zara military style calf length coat from about 2002. I prob spent double the price of it on getting it dry cleaned every other week. It was such a gorgeous coat and I was stopped so many times and asked where it was from. This was in the days before bloggers and zara online so Zara clothes were a lot less ubiquitous than they are nowadays.
3) Apart from black, grey and navy I wear a lot of burgundy in the winter and blush pinks and coral in the summer
justasecond · 28/01/2015 22:42

Wow, that raindance ring is just so, so gorgeous [swoons]
I hope you find some trainers Lib what colour are you looking for?

libertychick · 28/01/2015 22:58

Taupe/beige/brown Justa. Something that works with autumn colours. Would also consider teal or olive green. I don't want a huge wedge, just a bit of height. Love the idea of bronze metallic also.

BrandyAlexander · 28/01/2015 23:17

Thank you so much everyone! Looks like I misread the email.Blush The Thomas Cook return isnt too bad but dh is throwing spanner in works. He doesn't want to go club on our Easter holiday as he thinks the dcs shouldn't fly club all the time (dd got ridiculous amounts of presents so he's reacting to that) so he's insisting we go premium. Okay i say. Let's go club (7 hours long haul) at Easter and Thomas Cook 4.5 hours) in summer. He says no way as soon as I explain that TC are like EasyJet. Now we have to negotiate. This needs to be booked. Hmm

Lib, I just had a look around the Boodles website again thanks to your link. Dh unexpectedly got me bling for Christmas. If I had known he was going to do that I would have steered him towards the blossom bracelet or ring. Love them!

libertychick · 28/01/2015 23:24

The blossom bracelet is absolutely gorgeous. Love the long necklace too.

BrandyAlexander · 28/01/2015 23:29

Yes they're stunning. Might look for a copy version!

libertychick · 28/01/2015 23:41

Late night Cos sale order...

Teal jumper dress
Oatmeal merino sweater
Muted mustard wool trousers not sure about these...

libertychick · 28/01/2015 23:42

Do link if you find nice copies Novice Wink

LinusDKD · 29/01/2015 06:35

Morning!

I sympathise novice, getting holidays booked is stressful. Our Easter holiday is nearly sorted but the Summer holiday is still a question mark.

mara well done on the weight loss! You deserve a treat. Wink

Great purchases lib! Your oatmeal jumper does make me think we're not the same season after all as beige/oatmeal/putty colours wash me out.

Yes justa I have a Hobo, I love it. I have't worn it this winter as I have't rainproofed it yet but you have reminded me I have to change bags as I tend to wear the same one for months on end.

dry I'm also in a bit of a style rut atm. I have been thinking I might need some help but have no idea who offers a kind of wardrobe edit here.

No idea what I'm going to wear today so it's probably going to be jeans and jumper as the DC are home. Yawn! Grin

muddlingalongquitenicely · 29/01/2015 06:58

Morning not much snow overnight and its all pretty much gone now so im wearing my favourite shoesruby shoo black trousers DH got me and reddish fine knit jumper.
Went to check out some clothes on ASOS last night after admiring them in a blog and each item was sold out Sad

QueenCardigan · 29/01/2015 08:05

novice we've flown Thomas Cook and they're fine but take you own food on board as it's ridiculously expensive. I think we may be flying with them in the summer. If not its easyjet. I think though if you're doing 7 hours and can afford it I would have no hesitation in paying for club.

lib how was the 3 nights away? Just wondering if you've had a chance to send the bag yet? No rush but just want to know when to look out for it and how quickly to rush to the PO if I get a card through the door!!

shopafrolic · 29/01/2015 08:14

Linus I don't mind if you want to fly me over and I'll edit your wardrobe ;)
Morning all - noisy neighbours last night so very tired here. I used my Pashli for the first time yesterday and I absolutely love it - perfect size for me and the colour really works with my wardrobe.
DH is having work issues - this is the time of year they make team changes and reset targets - looks as though a job move may be on the cards - hopefully after we go on the GC trip Hmm

libertychick · 29/01/2015 08:36

Hope you still get your trip shop. I think everyone is grumpy at work at this time of year.

QueenC I will get to the post office tomorrow. I got back from the course late Tuesday pm. It was excellent but I was shattered yesterday. fedup I will send your package too tomorrow.

BrandyAlexander · 29/01/2015 09:18

Oh Shop, sorry to hear about dh work stresses. I hate target time of the year too. It's v unsettling for me. Bet it's the same with your dh. 2/3rds of my income is all results dependent and not guaranteed at all so I could have a crap year and see our income fall massively. On a brighter note, glad you love the bag. Told you it was a great bag!Wink

QueenC, I am fine with TC, it's 4.5 hours. Plus I think if we do it then dh will stop moaning about the kids being spoilt. He thinks I am a big softie. I have a rule that they're only allowed presents 2 times a year - Birthday and Christmas -and anything they want they can ask for once. Any repeat asking and they don't get it. So all the family deluge them with presents on those 2 occasions. So he says they're spoilt.Hmm My real issue is not going club on the long haul to teach them some lesson! What about me?!!

QueenCardigan · 29/01/2015 09:32

novice send dh on TC with dc whilst you fly club Grin
lib did dh cope ok?
shop when you say job move do you mean departments or relocation?

LinusDKD · 29/01/2015 10:09

Lol shop it'd probably be cheaper flying you over and doing the wardrobe edit that finding someone here. Wink

I hope you get your holiday, you deserve it! And good news on the Pashli, it really suits your style.

shopafrolic · 29/01/2015 10:09

Queen - it would be a company move. The industry he works in is very volatile - high risk, high ££ reward. He is a good sales guy so invariable smashes his number each year, and then the company will raise the goals for the following financial year - often to unattainable levels - which then prompts a move. The trick (if he ends up having to look for a job elsewhere) is to time it well so you get your commissions, club trips etc, and then head off. Always v stressful.

LinusDKD · 29/01/2015 10:25

I love this but I am waaaay to short. Maybe something for marsha? Wink

LinusDKD · 29/01/2015 10:28

Just saw there's only bigger sizes left.
