QueenC I know what you mean with ankle exposure. It amazes me that WIT and DMBL40 have regularly posted outfits with bare ankles over the last month or so. Makes me wonder if it is for photos only before slinging on a pair of Uggs!!

Well I didn't quite make it until Feb without spending but wanted to dip a toe into premium denim at Outnet price level. Have ordered MiH Paris,
Frame le Skinny de Jeanne and threw in this shirt as I was paying for postage anyway. Will see.

MarshaBrady · 28/01/2015 13:42

[green] over your order Mara, esp the Frames!

shopafrolic · 28/01/2015 14:03

Lovely bits Mara. Marsha those were the ones we tried but in a darker wash weren't they? They are lovely....
I just ordered this sweatshirt which I tried last year and loved but it was too big - this is the size down
and
the first holiday purchase. Useful I think? Not sure if I'm supposed to do charcoal - i get v confused about greys....
Who got deleted and why? Shock

LinusDKD · 28/01/2015 14:53

Great shopping mara!

I was tempted by some MiH skinnies but as they had a zip at the bottom I didn't buy them as I always have to shorten my trousers or roll up the touserleg.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/01/2015 15:01

It was just a spam post shop. I'm sure charcoal is fine for you - at least in the HoC system, as it's not in the spring palette [anger] and seems too dark for summer. Nice dress, something to tick off the list.

mara it's pretty much feb! Either one of the jeans would look great with that shirt.

My topshop dress has arrived - hope it's nice. It sold out later that day as I thought it would.

Also, my remade wedding shoes have arrived! Fingers crossed they are perfect this time, I so hope they are. Either way, can't fault the service from Shoes of Prey, I will be singing their praises from the rooftops tbh!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/01/2015 15:02

Angry even!

santamarianovella · 28/01/2015 15:40

Love all your purchases mara, I have those frame skinny de Jeanne, they are a pita to get into, but once you mange to get into them they look ace ,

shop that's very versatile for your holiday, love C&E they do great everyday pieces,

Well I'm proud to say that I've been a saint, haven't done any shopping since my beanie hat last month and I hope to make feb, a shopping free month too.

Like all of you I hate getting dressed now Sad, and I don't want hot sundress weather, but just a bit more warmer, light jacket and flats kind of weather,

Where is sleep? We haven't seen her here for a while now, come back, come back!

AmberNectarine · 28/01/2015 15:54

When I tried those Jeanne skinnies I struggled to get them over my calves - fine elsewhere but v tight on lower leg.

OneLittleLady · 28/01/2015 16:29

OH MY GOD people are such DICKS on buses! I just got home but while I was getting on the bus, I saw a guy who was carrying a rug qactually push over a little girl to get tot he seat he wanted, one of the seats that is meant for the elderly and/or less mobile I might add, and he wouldn't even apologise! well, I got a little bit angry as the poor girl was crying her eyes out while her mum was trying to comfort her and shouted at the guy. Even after me shouting, he still wouldn't apologise, he was such an arse. Can't believe the nerve of some people, it's no wonder I prefer to stay indoors away from the general public Angry

Anyway, lots of lovely shopping today ladies, especially like your dress Shop

I miss Sleep too, come back to us lovey Sad

Ujjayi · 28/01/2015 16:33

Mara I have MiH Paris in indigo. They are great jeans - really hold their shape. Mine were a total TK Maxx bargain for £25 in their clearance section instore. I also love the Frame ones & am very envious that you could wear that hue. I'm quite thigh heavy and sadly that shade would only emphasise that.

Love the striped dress Shop. I have something similar from French Connection and it is one of my "throw on" staples but which I still feel "dressed" in IYSWIM.

Santa I bow to your excellent show of restraint. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy so much this year but I've already had a bit of a splurge Blush. To be fair, they were bargains too hard to resist: This reduced to £65 and [[http://www.pinterest.com/pin/413627547002067438/ this reduced to £50 both at a small local boutique. They do a crazy sunday sale once every season where they bring out unsold stock from the previous season. However, I also bought this from Topshop on Saturday and can't decide if it is a keeper or not.

Ujjayi · 28/01/2015 16:36

Link fail... this skirt

libertychick · 28/01/2015 16:50

Love the wash on both those jeans Mara.

Sweater is perfect for you Shop and I am certain charcoal works on winters - the Cos jumper dress is charcoal.

I have ordered this cardigan. I decided that a good quality neutral cardigan is a must for my new autumn / romantic classic wardrobe... will only keep if completely perfect.

Fedupnagging · 28/01/2015 16:54

Ujjayi did you used to be a ballet dancer? Ballet dancers are so graceful - the complete opposite of me - Darcey Bussell even just sits on a chair looking graceful!

Linus hope your dd recovers soon.

Mara nice shirt and jeans although they look very skinny - maybe a coat hanger job to pull them up?!

Great holiday dress Shop.

I have found 2 knits which would be perfect - to throw on over vest tops, dresses etc so need to be a little unstructured
love this
Like this but maybe a bit too creamy.

However, both are dry clean only which is a pia - and am unlikely to bother so will machine wash and shrink......
great style and colour but mm fibres and I really wanted linen or cotton.

shopafrolic · 28/01/2015 17:10

I can't link from my phone but there is a lovely coral Dagmar linen knit on the Outnet Fedup

Drywhiteplease · 28/01/2015 17:47

Mara I really like the cropped MIH jeans a lot and think the shirt will get loads of wear.
Shop great dress. Put in my basket, then remembered we haven't booked a summer holiday yet and bit silly buying summer clothes when it's snowing will I regret it though? what size is a 10?
Fedup yes! I got the ASOS striped jumper with hearts in an 8, lovely fit, v happy......but I had it on for 2hrs before I spilled my dinner Dow n the front Shock... Luckily it survived.

Yup, I'm dying to get my ankles out too, did the other day for inside at work and sprint from and to the car

We went to the ballet a couple of years ago.....met the dancers afterwards, soooooooooooooooooo tiny and I'm hardly tall

And linus THANK you!!!

I'm feeling rather that I've lost my fashion mojo at the moment. Always feel frustrated at this time of year, sale dregs etc. still, I'm saving which is good and unusual

shopafrolic · 28/01/2015 17:52

This one - Dagmar

Fedupnagging · 28/01/2015 18:08

That's lovely Shop - perfect for spring. It looks to be coral in the picture which is not a great colour on me but the description is 'bubblegum' and pink is.

Will probably do an order later - by the time it is delivered it will be February so that's all ok Grin

maradesbois · 28/01/2015 21:08

That's a lovely jumper Fedup, good find from Shop. I really like linen knits for the warmer weather.

Nice cardigan Lib, a good wardrobe staple.

Shop yay, holiday clothes. Love the dress.

Thanks for all the nice jeans comments. I hadn't really thought about just how skinny the Frames might be. Perhaps a bit optimistic but I wanted to celebrate my weight loss with new jeans a size down so went for 29 as 30 is starting to feel loose in all my current ones. Worth a try!

bettykt · 28/01/2015 21:28

Great purchases Mara and great news on dropping a size. You'll get tonnes of wear from the plaid shirt I love mine and wear it lots.

I'm still loving wearing my winter clothes. I think it's because I've got some things that I really love plus wearing black, grey and neutrals is so easy I don't have to think about matching colours. I'm hoping to take inspiration copy from you. Love both your dresses Shop and Blair

Off to look at your SS15 pins Grin

QueenCardigan · 28/01/2015 21:37

couture shows here. Just been drooling over elie saab dresses. Divine.

Love the cropped jeans mara
ujjayi I agree, i reckon a lot of bloggers only get their feet and ankles out for photos. Blue cold feet cannot be a good look.

BrandyAlexander · 28/01/2015 21:52

Hello everyone! Very tired! I am with Betty still loving my winter stuff. Though would be fab if this year's summer was a repeat of 2014!

I have a non fashion question for you. What's better - a direct flight for 4.5 hours with Thomas Cook airlines with the catch that the return flight is at 2am and gets back at 4.30am...or a BA club class flight with a 1.5 hour stop to catch another airline (atlas airline), though on return the stop is 3.5 hours so would have to entertain the dcs? The BA flights are both day flights. I don't think I have ever flown Thomas Cook and have only done ba club with the dcs both long and short haul.

libertychick · 28/01/2015 22:10

I would do the day flight novice even with the stopover. A flight that leaves at 2am would be awful, you would be trying to get exhausted DC to the airport for midnight.
