Waves to ujjayi love the sound of your vintage Dior! Swoon,

queen I have no idea! I don't pay attention! I see if it works or not more than anything else!

I've been crazy busy, rushing to complete few things, can't wait to get them done, and breeeeath

For the Qs

Q1. An hermes Kelly in clemence leather,so it can all get deliciously slouchy with wear, can't decide on colour, maybe Bleu Roi or rouge garrance, will break my love for neutral colour bags with an hermes one, and will add a pair of jumping boots in black box.

Q2. I did a huge clear out, last year and got rid of loads, But I still have my burberry trench My mum bought me back in 05 or 06 I can't remember Hmm

Q.3 hmmm, I'm not a huge brights lover, so other than greys, blacks, navy,I have neutrals and some burgundy.

Drywhiteplease · 27/01/2015 13:36

V quick...

  1. Chanel jacket in black/ Or 2.55
  2. Wedding dress (1997) or jaeger animal print silk chiffon scarf circa 1995.
  3. Grey

Santa - I was lucky to find it in a little store in Notting Hill back in 2001 - before vintage really became "a thing". I don't think I would be so lucky now particularly price-wise.

If any of you are on Instagram, I can recommend following David Downton, the fashion illustrator. He's posting FROW images from the couture shows. Fantasy heaven Smile

bettykt · 27/01/2015 14:08

Sorry should have said an Hermes Birkin in this colour grey

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2015 14:37
  1. A Zuhair Murad dress, probably short and heavily embellished
  2. The oldest thing in my wardrobe is a pink snakeskin vintage Dior evening bag, which I got in 2002. I used it last week and it is still fabulous.
  3. Probably red - any shade from tomato to burgundy.

That said, I am wearing a cobalt tea dress with a print of tiny French Bulldogs today with opaques, lace up flats, black leather biker jacket, white furry stole and black sequinned beret. Have my grey Rocco with me which I'm loving again despite it's battered appearance.

Drywhiteplease · 27/01/2015 15:34

Revision there will be a few;

  1. Think I'd get better cpw for a Cartier tank Francaise in white and yellow gold.
  2. A Jaeger black chiffon cocktail dress. Round neck, sleeveless, nipped in at waist, layered chiffon just above knee skirt. Was v me in 1993, still me now. Played sales chicken and win. Many great nights spent together. Will never part from it.
  3. Still grey

Great questions Queen
Q1. A vintage chanel camera bag like this. I've loved this style bag for ever.

Q2. Wedding dress - 1991. Or something that I am still wearing is a cotton lawn nightshirt in pinstripe pink dm made when I was pregnant with ds1. It is mahoosive and ever so slightly tatty but sooo soft and lovely to wear. It's 21 years old so pretty good going.

Q3. Aside from grey and navy, probably pink (not baby pink)

Fedupnagging · 27/01/2015 16:44

Oops, I meant great questions Shop!

OneLittleLady · 27/01/2015 16:49

Hmm, I don't know what I'd get if money were no object

The oldest thing I own is a hand made for me welsh national dress outfit. I've had it since I was two so it's thirty years old now! it counts since it lives in my wardrobe Wink

Hmm, i wear a lot of reds, purples and bright pinks if not black

Karbea · 27/01/2015 16:50

Evening all!

  1. I think it would have to be a classic Chanel jacket. It would have been a Birkin but there are so many fakes now, they are a bit ruined for me.
  2. I've quite a lot of old stuff. The oldest thing I still use is a black Moschino evening blazer my exH got it for me before we were married I think it's circa 1999. I also have the old fendi bag we were talking about the other day, I reckon that must be 96.
  3. I think it must be Navy but most of my wardrobe is black ATM
QueenCardigan · 27/01/2015 17:00

Actually I may have to revise no1 and say an elie Saab couture dress. I'd have absolutely no place to wear it but wouldn't it be fun to dress up in?

amber love the sound of your outfit-very dramatic gamine.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/01/2015 18:20

Evening all - horrible day today and having to sort out stuff with my old job that should have been sorted weeks ago. DH met me with a chai latte and a slice of red velvet cake so feeling a little happier now.
My answers:

  1. I would have said a classic bag but like Karbea ive seen so many fakes its put me off a few of them. My other chouce would have been louboutins but i read the red sole wears off quickly so thats ruled that out. So i think i would have a designer create sonething for me that fitted perfectly.
  2. I have a plum a line knee length skirt which i got from monsoon bicester village years a go
  3. Purple plum and red
shopafrolic · 27/01/2015 19:04

How lovely that my quiz lured Ujjayi back :)

AmberNectarine · 27/01/2015 19:15

muddling Louboutins are the devil's own work. So uncomfortable.

Karbea · 27/01/2015 19:26

I love my louboutin's I think they are more comfiest shoes :/

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/01/2015 19:27

I looked at a pair in selfridges in birningham and could see all the glue round the inside edge i wasnt inpressed with the finishing.

What are comfortable shoes to splurge on?

Drywhiteplease · 27/01/2015 20:16

cute

Fedupnagging · 27/01/2015 20:19

Muddling These are the most comfortable shoes and are quite ££ for flip flops

shopafrolic · 27/01/2015 20:24

Not the FitFlop debate again. We've managed to avoid it for at least a year!!!!!!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/01/2015 20:26

I have just realised i dont own a pair of plain black heels Blush DH bought me a pair if plain straight legged trousers for work and i have no black heels to wear with them for work.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 27/01/2015 20:30

Love those flats dry
There was a lady who used to travel on the bus to work in a pair of those style fitflops every day rain or snow!

Fedupnagging · 27/01/2015 20:38

Grin sorry Shop

Ujjayi · 27/01/2015 20:53

Grin Shop. I can never resist a quiz! BTW, I bought the ASOS striped jumper today with the heart elbow patches which I think you linked to? I could only get a 16 unfortunately (I'm a 10 Shock) so I'm hoping it will work as a slouchy version... I have my doubts!

Muddling not sure what heel height you are after but the Aline heels from Dune are great & mid-heel.

I bought a pair of Isabel Marant "Kalla" trousers in black before Christmas but just cannot seem to get the rest of the outfit right. They are hanging shamefully unworn in my wardrobe. I loved them in the store but they feel too work-y now. Any suggestions?

QueenCardigan · 27/01/2015 21:09

ujjayi I just googled and found this styling of them...? Not sure if that your kind of thing but definitely un-worky.

libertychick · 27/01/2015 21:10

Too tired to answer the questions, finished my residential course today, am shattered.

Flowers for Fedup and Novice. Dior makeup arrived today and is really lovely.

welcome back Ujjayi Smile

And Flowers for Shop who recommended I try this dress. It arrived when I was away and it's gorgeous.
