Our SOTD (scent of the day)?

Is there a thread I've missed Shock

If not, lets take it up here :)

SOTD an unknown sample from my perfume drawer, woodsy and irisy, am baffled but enjoying it!

Just checked the thread to see when I placed my la pausA etc order from the perfumed court ... 22 April !! Please let it hurry up !' Got a teeny amount each of jicky and mitsouko left to last me ! Usually quicker than this ! Hope they are waiting for me when I get home !

Drama TPC sometimes has insane delays, I have started placing my orders with Surrender to Chance after experiencing some of these. Hope it turns up soon. If you can find EU-based vendors on Crystal Flacon, that is usually the best option.

All quiet on the perfume front here, alternating between Teazzurra and a pretty dimestore jasmine. I am using up a bottle of Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen and its cloying coconut smell overpowers nearly everything.

For anyone that's interested it's currently 25 % off on Escentuals

Thinking about ordering some perfume

I'm resurrecting this thread as I need you well trained noses to give me some tips for a new perfume. I have £63 in boots points to spend, so whatever you recommend must be available there.

My current rotation is
Bois Des Ilse (pre kids purchase, obvs)
Shalimar- not very spring summer friendly
Philosykos diptyque- great but wish it had better silage and was longer lasting
JM English pear and freesia
Chanel no 5 eau premiere- maybe a bit too sweet.

I want you to help me choose something suitable for everyday. I'm considering Cristalle (not sure if it's too green and sharp) o de Lancôme or the Orange flanker.

Any other recs for me?

FrugalFashionista · 07/06/2015 11:39

Chester you won't find a super long-lasting cologne type perfume - the whole idea is that they are fleeting pick me ups, you need a purse spray!

Chanels are some of the best one around and both of your picks would be fantastic. I find O much sharper than Cristalle. Try both strenghts of Cristalle, Chanel EDTs and EDPs are often totally independent perfumes though I have to admit I cannot remember how it is with Cristalle.

If you enjoy the herbier rise, also try Eau Sauvage (Dior, men's department) - it's something I find quite longlasting and very refreshing, and totally unisex.

There is a strong woody oriental side to your perfume personality - mine hides in the summer although I almost died and went to heaven when I realized that DH had put on Tauer's L'air du Desert Marocain this morning...

My dad used to wear Eau Sauvage. I don't think I could wear it without getting emotional!
