It's been a while since I set one up so thought I'd do the honours.
For glass half full fashion fanatics. Bring a positive attitude, a love of clothes and lots of lovely links. All welcome, from high street to high end.

santa I love them! They look like they fit perfectly. Just in time for the heatwave! Grin

Back from hairdressers, minor rant. They didn't tell me that my usual stylist had left, it would have been nice to have been told in advance. The one I had wasn't the same, she didn't even ask me how I wanted my hair dried (all one length, so sometimes I like it a bit wavy or whatever). So, I had about 1.5 inches cut off, was in and out in 30 mins. I had a 10% discount for early booking and it still cost me £57.60 . I wouldn't mind if they really seemed to care but it's all very impersonal. I didn't rebook, need to find a new salon if I can I think...

Feeling annoyed with myself as my hair looks fine so I don't know why it's bothering me so much. Ah well, it's the weekend! Wine later will help. Hope everyone has a good one :)

OneLittleLady · 07/03/2014 18:12

I love them santa! I could never be trusted with any kind of white shoe though, I spill too many drinks on my feet Blush

Topazandpearl · 07/03/2014 18:47

Popping in to say hello to you all.
My overpaying the babysitter days are long gone; now I overpay the dog walker.....
Am stupidly excited at my first Anna order (these shoes. And have had Wine. Happy Friday!

LinusDKD · 07/03/2014 18:51

Those espadrilles are great santa! Glad you finally managed to get them.

Oh you saw 'my bag'? How did it look IRL?

blair I completely understand how you feel about your hairdresser. I wouldn't be happy either being treated like that.

The coatigan on Asos is now sold out in the size I wanted Sad. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

BrandyAlexander · 07/03/2014 19:35

Hello everyone! I have had a busy few days with the charity sorting out supplies for the kindergarten amongst other things.

I have been loving my PS13 the last couple of days. I had an outfit disaster on Wednesday when I threw it together at the last minute and just knew it was wrong. It bugged me all day! Yes lurkers, I am that vacuous. Wink

shopafrolic · 07/03/2014 19:38

santa your persistence paid off! I love them. Just gorgeous.
Waves to Topaz the Anna link didn't work for me.
Happy weekend all x

On way out will catch up with thread later. Just wanted to say happy with last minute cobbled together outfit. Old aubin & wills winter white dress with paques, fendi ankle boots, chunky black Hermes bracelet and big diamond ring, ready to hit the bar!

santamarianovella · 07/03/2014 20:19

Thank you all,I've been wearing them all day, indoor obviously, and they feel amazing, very happy!
blair you should have complained,I wouldn't be happy if I was treated like that either.

linus I saw the exact color you want ,back in January ,when I bought my bag,but haven't seen it again,I reckon its sold out in that color, but I keep seeing it in other colors, its very beautiful, the burgundy one is stunning, I think I took a picture of the cabas bag Wink and the hobo is in the background but you have to squint and use a magnifying glass to spot it! Will try to post it here.

Topazandpearl · 07/03/2014 20:42

try again. The website appears to have changed (and not for the better, though I think it is a work in progress). These were £45, down from £145 (I think). Off for a proper catch-up now.

QueenCadbury · 07/03/2014 21:08

blair I sympathise. I'm v fussy about my hair and who I let loose on it. My regular hairdresser is about to leave so she naughtily emailed me to let me know. I need to decide whether to trek across to another part of the city or find someone else.

santa I love them!!!!

nivice I've just remembered that I haven't yet responded to your pm Blush

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2014 21:53

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2014 21:57

Bought [[ schoolgatestyle.tictail.com/product/flowerstatement this] really like the colours, not sure about the MR T looking chain Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2014 21:57

this

libertychick · 07/03/2014 22:12

Nice necklace Dry would need to see it on to see how the thick chain looks.

Last days of hols for me...drank far too much - the nearest bar the villa we are in does very lush cocktails. I ate a lot of paella and ice cream. And I have a light tan - the ghostly look is gone from my legs. Will catch up properly over the weekend.

Fedupnagging · 07/03/2014 22:39

Nice shoes Topaz, great bargain.

Like the necklace Dry. Some nice scarves on there too; love this one.

Sounds like you are having a fab holiday liberty and umlauf enjoy skiing.

Mig glad you had a good trip; am liking the sound of all your purchases.

Having an boring early night but ds2 (it's always him atm!) phoned to say his lift has let him down so can we get him? As dh is snoring, guess its me so desperately trying to stay awake until 11!

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2014 22:47

Amber I over just read your blog. Totally agree about a denim dress. If I could find one I liked my wardrobe would be complete! Seems an impossible item though Sad. I'd settle for a decent denim skirt (not of the chavtastic-too-short-cost-holiday variety though Wink)

Drywhiteplease · 07/03/2014 22:48

Off to search on ShopStyle

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2014 08:56

It is a really holy grail item for me dry - I have a decent denim skirt from Kew which is a great length (not slutty, not mumsy) but is a 12 so is really too big now. Bad times.

LinusDKD · 08/03/2014 10:49

Quick message for shop

The yellow neon Hush tee arrived today. I have to look at it wearing sunglasses. It is 10 times more neon than in the picture. And a bit greenish.

I will have to get used to it but I hope it'll look nice in summer.

Mignonette · 08/03/2014 10:56

Hi all

Amber I am really liking your blog- it is full of 'you' as opposed to generic fashion blog as written by fashion-bot. This Months Vogue has a Stella inspired shoot and that reminded me of your denim dress quest as Stella did some great pieces a few seasons ago. The Guardian online has an interview with Stella by Jess CM and it is accompanied by pics of that great denim button through skirt. Very inspired by Linda. I bought a Levis buttin through denim shirtwaister from the US- it isn't too Dorothea Lange Okie dust bowl in style with its curved hem and exposed shredded selvege. I love it but don't wear it too often. I know what you mean about the difficulties of the denim dress. Have you tried Diesel? They do some hard and fast denim pieces.

Thanks for the lovely encouragement about Brussels. I was very taken with it and have added it to my 'not expecting much and being surprised' list along with Leeds! The children's shoes were amazing all in the very seasonally now citrus acid pastels with flashes of contrast along the welt and Kickers style, on the sole. Mainland Euro children's clothing and shoes always appear more age and lifestyle appropriate- less sexualising and adult detail. However, not living there I do see everything through a filter of yearning for pavement cafes, sauntering and La Passeggiata Grin.

I'm trying to post some bad pics. Bear with me if they all have their separate post! The gloves have a reflection of somebody else (not me) in the window- a bad pic but wanted you to see the colours. I ate in the restaurant but the ochres and cobalts looked so beautiful I had to photograph them and the alleyway leads up to the Grande Place.
