I loved my perms back in the 1980s. The only bad one I had was circa 1984 when I went to a different hair dresser and she mucked it up by not leaving the perm solution on the back of my hair long enough and then left the front and sides in to long!

She took rollers out far too soon and after a week it had dropped leaving me with straight hair at the back and curly hair at the front and sides!

I went back and she was horrid but agreed to reperm the back but I recall having to wait a week for an appointment.

I will upload a picture to my profile so you can see how silly I looked!

I'd love a perm, I have very fine (baby hair i call it) and greasy roots,but I had one 3 years ago and my hair just broke and went horrifically frizzy. I ended up having to haven't but off and I've just grown it now to shoulder late length.

We've gone with aiming for this, as realistic option for my hair.

No I like it.

I'm more pleased than I expected as it looks like my hair when it's curly, but with volume and more defined.

It's flipping hard to get a decent pic though.
