Hi hoping for some advice please, does anyone have any recommendations of style blogs, don't want anything too high fashion, just general every day wear, in need of some inspiration.

Thanks :)

I can't look at that link on my iPad and I am far far to settled on the sofa to venture upstairs to the laptop. What's it about? C'mon tell.

JanetLuther · 01/01/2014 16:29

Oh it's the song

standupandbecountered · 01/01/2014 16:37

I quite like cocomamastyle.com it is very 'mummy' and baby focussed but I like what she does and none of it makes me go Hmm like some style blogs do!

pebbles77 · 01/01/2014 18:10

Hi, I'm new here. I've just lost A LOT of weight so have got a new found love of clothes :)

I wondered whether there were any style blogs out there for autumn colours?

Thanks so much x

WipsGlitter · 01/01/2014 18:55

Do you mean Poppy's style janet?? She has an interesting look...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/01/2014 18:57

Yikes to all the boots on that one.

Fuckitthatlldo · 01/01/2014 19:00

The Sartorialist is my favourite. Can waste many an hour scrolling through the archives. I like Garance Dore too.

louise2011 · 01/01/2014 19:10

Mrs CB- I miss you soooo much on AllWornOut!! Please think about the occas post! Love EveAllWornOut too.

Think Kat on Bum40 is really funny. Lots of the new mummy bloggers copy her. She is a gazelle so I can only wish to look so good in anything oversized- I would look like a sack of potatoes.
Blogs like school gate style appear to be more of a business & promoting companies that give freebies- this leaves me cold.

Matsikula · 01/01/2014 20:17

Too lazy to link, but I really like 'that's not my age' - she's a sort of elegant grown-up tomboy, and a good writer too.

Also, for workwear inspiration there's one called 9-5 style or something. It's not full on suits and she clearly gets a lot of freebies, but she has a proper job, in, I think, the pharmaceutical industry.

Anyone found any good petite bloggers?

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/01/2014 20:23

Thanks Louise Smile

Extrapetite and wendy's lookbook both good for petites.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/01/2014 20:25

Love Wendy for drooling but no good at all for inspiration - too thin, too beautiful, too rich, too able to schlep around in heels all day.

lurkingaround · 01/01/2014 20:30

I like that's not my age too. Nice style of blog.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 01/01/2014 20:43

Extra Petite is probably the best of the petite bloggers but after a while, it all seems the same to me. I love Atlantic Pacific because she always seems so pulled together, and I might be able to pull those outfits off at work...at a stretch (very corporate environment but I'm an IT slave so no client ever gets to see me, and the vendors I deal with are already in for a shock about the tiny foreign woman anyway).

Shameless plug for my friend here: taxonomyofmywardrobe.blogspot.co.uk I just love her writing about clothes. She should totally have been a fashion buyer at Selfridges.

CointreauVersial · 01/01/2014 20:44

Ooh yes, Wendy is like a little doll.

Karbea · 01/01/2014 20:45

Yes I've seen those two, but as you say Wendy has very expensive taste and extra petite often dresses like a 60 year old. I used to like Chloe conspiracy but she doesn't really blog anymore.

lurkingaround · 01/01/2014 20:47

Is 9to5chic.com the blog you mentioned Matsikula? Haven't seen that one before.

eshermummy · 01/01/2014 20:48

I cba with sartorialist/garance et al - if I want beautiful images I'll look at pin.
Wendy is nice to look at but what I really want from a blog is links to stuff that's current - I don't really want to look like Style Guile but she does have good links to stuff that I can actually see myself buying. Ditto Bum40, she's a completely different shape to me but I do love following her links plus I do enjoy seeing how she's meandered about, things she's discounted etc before she gets to the final outfit.
All that being said, the blogs that make me go back again have to have real life selfies - I'm always interested in what other people are wearing and how it looks on them.
Anyone can post a link to something which looks lovely as they've styled it in Zaraland but in actual fact is cut too short/too tight/too whatever to look good on a mere mortal.
I must also admit, there is also a sense of morbid fascination at the images of themselves some people are prepared to put out there (and I say that as someone who has done it).

MarshaBrady · 01/01/2014 20:49

Love that 9 to 5 one, haven't seen it before.

Also really like Camille and love Le Catch, but all the clothes are from the US so a bit annoying.

eshermummy · 01/01/2014 20:53

I like what I bought today and buy now, blog later (latter is Dubai based so she doesn't really do winter! but i like the beauty stuff she does). I can't be doing with pages of waffle either but equally the ones where there are next to no credits given get on my nerves too - how am I supposed to copy when I don't know where to buy it fgs?

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/01/2014 20:54

Yes, I want links too! And I like to see bloggers credit other bloggers when they've blatantly copied someone else.

AmberNectarine · 01/01/2014 20:55

Man Repeller is by far my favourite. I also really like The Frugality. I also really enjoy the entirely age-inappropriate-for-me Lily Melrose.

MarshaBrady · 01/01/2014 20:57

Oh god yes Man Repeller. Love that one.

And the frugality.

lurkingaround · 01/01/2014 21:12

I like what I bought today too. Not so keen on buy now blog later, probably because it's not so relevant to me in my thermals and boots.
Links are a must, desperately annoying without. I like Le Catch but her links don't always work on the iPad. She has a good eye, but reads a bit like a fashion mag, in that it's all a bit fantasy-ish, without regard for real life or budget, and without a sense of personality. She looks amazing tho. Obv no need for concern re budget
