Hi hoping for some advice please, does anyone have any recommendations of style blogs, don't want anything too high fashion, just general every day wear, in need of some inspiration.

Thanks :)

i think we just cross posted
we at work need to make things look interesting. As i only seem able to find black trousers or skirts either I would like some tips on those

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:24

teaching is a weird thing - kind of hybrid

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:24

Somebody at work the other week told me that I was the only person in the staffroom who could get away with a VB dress. I was secretly very chuffed (but she is bonkers, as I think VB dresses only come in size 2!).

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:25

lets pretend RL

PurpleJellyDisc · 31/12/2013 22:25

Recipe rifle is fricking AMAZING. Style guile is good, if a little smug.

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:28

ooh no its jaquard

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:30

I like that. Love pencil skirts...and tube skirts...and my Westwood skirts (which I save for days when I feel like I want to kick ass!).

eshermummy · 31/12/2013 22:30

Depends what you class as "tall". I'm only 5 3" so I class anything over 5 6 as tall. I reckon WIT is 5 6'" or over.
The workwear thing is hard though isn't it because it differs so much across workplaces - a couple of the AWO ladies work in very corporate environments, tailored dresses and always with a jacket, which is workwear as I remember it from days of old. I always think Amber's workwear doesn't look smart enough for a full-on corporate environment but what would I know, I'm too busy re-arranging my scarf and cooking my banker husband's dinner.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:31

This one is nice

MissBeehiving · 31/12/2013 22:32

The WIT going home from the hospital dress was cream silk IIRC

A work blog would be marvellous. The trouble is that I usually screeching like a fishwife trying to get the kids out of the door and into the car on my way into work.

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:33

i bought your last tip for a skirt like that - have to size way down to make a pencil

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:35

Cream silk, yep. Insanity.

This one from Whistles is brilliant. And this one

lurkingaround · 31/12/2013 22:36

Gosh, just had a look at recipe rifle. Sheesh, she writes looong posts!
I have some admiration for bloggers tho. It can't be easy to put yourself out there.

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:37

love whisltes one

FIND IT

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:39

It was last year's. It's brilliant - I wear it so much. Would be v short on you though.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 22:39

Recipe rifle is a journalist though - I got the book of the blog on my kindle. She's funny about writing for the DM to basically pay for christmas and an ipad Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:39

Or did you mean the split one? That was this year.

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:39

yy

lurkingaround · 31/12/2013 22:39

Loving the thread.
So we're all in tonight?
Like the leopard skirt Remus, if I could wear leopard..

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 22:40

Nice

This one is brilliant too

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:40

YOU CAN

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 22:41

but i want the slit

PurpleJellyDisc · 31/12/2013 22:41

Recipe rifle is so ducking funny though, and not a journalistic style.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 22:41

Yeap, lurking - I am sat drinking tea and trying to identify where the smell of dead mouse is coming from in my sitting room.
