Liking this zip up jumper in golden/mustard maybe for warmer Autumns, not sure it would work for me as I am a soft and often look better in a lighter lemon, but would replace zip tag with a different colour. What do you think folks? www.ness.co.uk/new-in/layla.html

lougle · 23/03/2014 08:01

That's a lovely colour, ocelot.

TracyK · 23/03/2014 13:23

ooo I love david zyla supa. I'm well jel.
www.pinterest.com/search/boards/?q=ingenue here are some good ingenue boards for inspiration SuperC.

DAvid Zyla wrote THIS which is where the obsession really kicked in for me. He won an Emmy as a stylist. He works in TV and theatre. So bloody excited I can't tell you!
So I will discover my 3 neutrals, my 'true colours' (won't bore you please google) and within Autumn which is my style archetype. All a bit more personal than the HOC draping I had done. Yes i know i'm obsessed......husband thinks I need my head testing But i'm really interested from an artistic perspective also, and i just LOVE putting things (including myself apparently) into categories/boxes Grin

evelynj · 23/03/2014 20:27

Sounds good Supa-how did you get an appointment then and is it expensive? If he was ever in my area I'd probably be interested but don't know if I'd travel far-mind you, that all depends on what you think after your session-enjoy it!

supadupapupascupa · 23/03/2014 20:42

i emailed from his website. he's based in New York but doing a tour. i think he's in London for 2 weeks only in May/June. $600 for 2 hours (full palette plus big reveal about style. He is meant to be amazingly brilliant at picking colour - a real talent. Not come across any negative reviews as yet.....

TracyK · 24/03/2014 17:53

Do you gave an idea what he will say you are supa? I was a bit hmmm bout most of the autumn ones and was more drawn to the late summer personalities.

supadupapupascupa · 24/03/2014 18:58

no idea! i want to be a spicy autumn, suits my personality to a T. But i don't suit orange or yellow and I just know it's wrong. Colour wise i think bronze autumn but the personality isn't right. Fascinating! can't wait to hear what he has to say!

supadupapupascupa · 24/03/2014 21:32

ahh i have just discovered that David's 'seasons' are not necessarily the same as house of colour! For example Julia Roberts is an Autumn - no denying it - but David put her as a Mischevious spring (pixie) along with other autumns. Bit confused now but actually i think i could fit in there too. For me it doesn't matter. HOC gave me a whole autumn palette, David will hopefully give me some 'key' colours (which hopefully fit within it) with how to use them and a guide to my style type based on personality and facial features....which is all i'm after :-D

CMP69 · 25/03/2014 15:11

Hi fellow Autumns
I did think I was Autumn (classic red head fair skin blue eyes and freckles). However the day was fascinating Grin . Im now a bit scared to go shopping lol. I have place marked all the previous threads and will do my best to read and learn from them. I'm more of a lurker than poster but will definitely have questions

petalsandstars · 25/03/2014 15:52

I think I'm an autumn too - same colouring as CMP but I'm having a colour day on Saturday so should find out for sure then I'll be joining in the fun Smile

TracyK · 25/03/2014 17:49

I was sure I was a summer - but was told an autumn. Id love to see Zyla - I'm sure I'd be a sensuous backpacker or dusky summer.

RoganJosh · 27/03/2014 10:01

Hi everyone. I'm just reading through this thread as I feel I've lost my way.

I'm a deep autumn (colour me beautiful diagnoses me and I agree with it) and have been happy enough. Last autumn there was so little brown around that I was picking up more spruce green. All well and good. Then I decided as a 'deep' I could probably get away with burgundy and navy.
I probably can, but it's messed up my ability to coordinate and I've now got a very dreary looking wardrobe. I really need to pull myself back to autumn colours.

TracyK · 28/03/2014 13:09

Lighten stuff up with cream items?

TracyK · 28/03/2014 13:12

www.pinterest.com/tracyk42/my-style/ these are my pins - just looking at them cheers me up :)

supadupapupascupa · 28/03/2014 13:36

how about teal and red? a bit of mustard? if brown is neutral, you need a bit of each of the primary colours (red, yellow, blue, green) to brighten it up?

petalsandstars · 30/03/2014 07:04

Turns out that I'm a spring, so I'll pop off to do springy things instead of autumn richness Grin

Although I am close to autumn and was a bit confusing.

supadupapupascupa · 30/03/2014 09:04

Grin nice to meet you! x

evelynj · 31/03/2014 13:38

I'm off for my first post HoC shopping trip on Thursday. Anything good in the (reasonably priced) shops I should look out for?

BabCNesbitt · 31/03/2014 19:34

Hello fellow Autumns! I had my HoC day last summer, but have been too skint to do much in the way of buying (and when I did I kept buying totally unsuitable crap off eBay in the name of 'saving money' Blush). But now I'm determined to get a stylish wardrobe that bloody suits me for the summer! (I haven't done the style day, but I suspect I'm probably more of a gamine than anything else - ingenue is the frilly one, right?)

Just wondering: the HoC consultant said that I was a 'vibrant blue autumn'. How does that fit into the other systems, do you think? Is it like a 'dark autumn' or 'true autumn' or whatever? (This is purely for the purpose of searching for stuff on Pinterest. Grin)

supadupapupascupa · 31/03/2014 20:15

i thought a blue autumn was a dark/deep autumn
but i doon't understand the vibrant :-/

supadupapupascupa · 31/03/2014 20:19

i thought a blue autumn was a dark/deep autumn. no idea about the vibrant but though :-/

evelynj · 31/03/2014 22:42

Hi bab, welcome!

I have no idea about the sub categories tbh-would like to know what I am-think I am a deep autumn as my ** colours were dark brown & dark olive & something else dark.

I don't think it matters too much though as hopefully said upthread you can wear the whole palette & I do! Seeing the Facebook group all things autumn though (thanks Tracy!), they seem to assess a lot on eye colour but don't know if the other types are from CMB or some other colour analysis. Sorry, my rambling way of being no help!
