Well I've just checked QVC and the coat isn't there at all.
So I'm properly pwned

mignonnette · 31/10/2013 21:13

I tried google but nothing there about the coat. It is definitely too well made to be one of theirs. Try googling the agency representing them and ask or tweet her?

mignonnette · 31/10/2013 21:17

Oh and surprise surprise, they have a new show coming out Hmm and her twitter account was dead between late June and October and now suddenly alive again....

Big stench of PR around here...

NicolaSeven · 31/10/2013 21:20

Not sure it does explain the nose thing. The pictures I saw, he had pinched it so hard, it looked like he had his thumb jammed up it. Thus blocking not revealing the view of the alleged drugs. And making it look more like the actions of someone being a cunt.

Allegedly.

mignonnette · 31/10/2013 21:23

He is a liar and a desperate controlling little prat.

AnkaretLestrange · 31/10/2013 21:31

Lol at cat me you cunt

If you look at the daily mail photos right at the end, why is Saatchi carrying Susannahs coat all bundled up in his arms? What's happened to her? Is she trussed up in the boot of his car?

smellylittleorange · 31/10/2013 22:18

They do actually talk about Nigella in one of their books something about her being an hourglass and wearing stuff that suits her but they would be "very surprised if she had a stylist" or something to that effect. All a bit snotty really.

AnkaretLestrange · 31/10/2013 22:34

Nige back in the Trinny and Susannah heyday of 2003 was a scruff anyway, all long skirts, white tops and denim jackets.

Would have thought their paths would have crossed, all 3 of them being rather grand and similar age in the media.

DoubleLifeIsALifeOfSorts · 31/10/2013 23:26

Merguez I just looked at the blog and you are right, this is a fake PR blog, it's only got one other 'news' story which is very short and badly written, and a whole stream of articles about Nigella & her ex.

Whoever wrote it and why I have no idea, but it's not the pr firm Hillgrove.

(hope i'm allowed to say this!)

DoubleLifeIsALifeOfSorts · 31/10/2013 23:28

And can I just quote this from the blog ... An exposé on 'what really happened' when the photos were taken,, aparently, he was

"holding her throat to assist her focus and regain attention"

Oh. I see. Yeah, that totally happens.

DoubleLifeIsALifeOfSorts · 31/10/2013 23:29

Just get those posts deleted if there is a legal issue btw - don't want to screw up the whole thread!

AnkaretLestrange · 01/11/2013 00:31

Just a revolting blog. As if grabbing someone around the throat and sticking a finger up the nose is justified. Just seems a overwrought and imaginative reason to justify the vile behaviour.

I am pretty sure if Nigella had a coke habit to cause repeated visits to the toilet in Scott's it would have come out a lot sooner.

hollyisalovelyname · 01/11/2013 08:52

Back to the coat ladies....
Trinny's coat.
Well it is Style and Beauty Smile

hollyisalovelyname · 01/11/2013 08:56

CuriousTiger I agree with you. Some women just don't look good in jeans. I work with a girl- stunning looking, great figure but when she puts on a pair of jeans - ughhh. Makes her look fat and dumpy- she's size 8/10 and about 5'7' ( with skinny legs) so shouldn't happen.

BasilBabyEater · 01/11/2013 11:32

Bit it is working.

People on this thread are saying that it explains the nose thing.

It really is a very effective tactic, which is why abusers use it.

PrimalLass · 01/11/2013 12:00

People on this thread are saying that it explains the nose thing.

I think that if it was true it would explain it. That's why I used "".

BasilBabyEater · 01/11/2013 12:04

It wouldn't explain his violence though.

It only explains it, if you think that violence is an excusable/ understandable response to your partner taking drugs.

Lots of people do, which is why Saatchi's trying this method - it's classic abuser tactics and it works.

PrimalLass · 01/11/2013 12:04

I dont think you are right about it being a fake blog. If you google the author and blog lots of stuff comes up.

PrimalLass · 01/11/2013 12:07

if you think that violence is an excusable/ understandable response to your partner taking drugs

Thanks for insinuating that I believe that.

thecatfromjapan · 01/11/2013 12:12

Coat is OK. But isn't it a bit Prada-brocade-stylee-from-years-ago.

Everything else (all the PR shit) smells of fish. Lots of fish. And reviving dead horses (wrt The Amazing Trinny and Suzannah Show).

Am actually fairly appalled at what this indicates about how Mr S and PR in general work.

Yuk.

Allegedly, etc.

BasilBabyEater · 01/11/2013 12:14

If you don't want people to believe you believe that, don't write things that imply you do.

The nose thing is not explained by her potential behaviour.

It's explained by his actual behaviour. His violence.

I think it's important to point out that the fact that people can write that his violence is explained by anything Nigella may have done, shows how deep-seated and unconscious the beliefs about domestic violence are. And the reason abusers like Saatchi tap into those beliefs, is because they know that people have them and are unaware of having them and so they work in terms of white-washing their violence. I'm not writing this stuff on a style and beauty thread in order to offend anyone, I'm writing it because I think it's really important to challenge those DV myths where you see them. Sorry to offend you PrimaLass.

thecatfromjapan · 01/11/2013 12:14

And am really at Trinny and Susannah. Muppets. But I don't think anyone has ever accused them of being knowingly caught in possession of excess integrity or brain cells.

thecatfromjapan · 01/11/2013 12:19

I totally agree with Basil .

Nothing but nothing excuses DV.

Utterly sick that we appear (as public) to be being asked to accept such crap.

Disgraceful.

But perhaps a chance to really push the point that DV IS ALWAYS UNACCEPTABLE.

Thinking more about the coat - it really is like a 50s eiderdown, isn't it? Not a bad look, but perhaps one to be cautious of, unless done by Prada. Wouldn't buy any tat with TW's name attached to it. Suspect would be poorly cut, have awful seams, and be two seasons behind (at least). And giving off the sad reek of desperation.

Cantabile · 01/11/2013 12:26

Hear hear, Basil. Nothing ever excuses violence. Mr S is a vile man. T&S are silly girls, with a show to promote.

The dress is nice, one jacket is OK. The rest is frump.

squoosh · 01/11/2013 12:56

Oh what a surprise, he's now decided not to sue Nigella or reveal the lies 'truth' as he wants to 'get on with his life'.
