So- were all the rumours people were talking about on this thread the same as the ones that were discussed in court today?

Similar jackets in M and Co if that's your bag

Well, I wore those jeans to work yesterday on casual Friday Blush. At least I won't be working out of that office after next week so won't have to see any of those colleagues again. Also in my defence at least I didn't wear them out in the evening to a posh restaurant!

Thanks for the photo. Worryingly I appear to be wearing those exact jeans today - they are from Per Una and are about ten years old, maybe more, but I re-dyed them that very dark blue. However I am wearing them to walk dogs in the Yorkshire dales, rather than being papped in fashionable Mayfair eateries.

I tuck shirts in or rather do the half-tuck.

Trinny's face is smooth as she suffered very badly with acne which caused scarring so she's had stuff done to get rid of the scars.

I think you are all total bitches because I now really want to see that picture and decide for myself about the jeans and the coat but I'm boycotting DM links Sad. Is there not a non-DM picture?

I went into a lovely little country church today which had an ongoing book sale, tucked away in a little corner. They had the Shades of Grey trilogy, Destiny by Sally Beaumont (shout-out to the Eighties trash-lot fans), Plays Pleasant by George Bernard Shaw, and What Not To Wear.

Whenever mumsnet gets holier-than-thou about skinny jeans I suspect you all have black or platinum hair in a sock bun.

For many, skinny jeans are a triumph of fashion over style.

Saatchi, though, there is no excuse.

Charles Saatchi and T&S hooking up doesn't lend CS any credibility.

It simply confirms T&S as washed-up desperados.

To be fair to them, there were probably people who didn't put them quite in that category just yet. But by associating with CS, they've fast-tracked themselves there on a one-way ticket.

I understand that women who perhaps have self-esteem issues and who have a bad track record with deeply unsuitable men find it hard to break out of that cycle, and I don't think any reasonable person wouldn't have sympathy with that situation.

But Trinny is going into this with the blinkers off, eyes wide open, red flags waving and twunt radars flashing. Surely she has a modicum of responsbility to cop on a little bit herself.

But if publicity, the lure of OAP power and a mahoosive bank balance is enough to silence everything else, then so be it, I guess.

Thanks for the link, Sunday, I'm enjoying reading through that Vagendamag - lots of thought provoking articles on there.

OMG found the blog. Do they think we are stupid enough to be distracted from CS physically abusing NL by frankly ridiculous drug allegations Hmm

I never never tuck things in, but a few weeks ago tucked a silky shirt into skinny jeans just out of curiosity, and it looked very flattering. I wore it all day but it felt very odd indeed to be tucked in. I looked THIN though which is always a winner.

I found their fashion advice hit and miss tbh. Some of it was brilliant but some completely off.

Am wondering about Suzanna's tucked-in blouse. Do people do that now? For years, tucking shirts/ blouses into shirts /jeans etc. seemed to be banned but I've seen a few people do that recently and wonder if it's a trend or if they're just absent-minded...

I am the same shape as her (very tall however long waisted and relatively short legs) and she said bias cut was the devil as it makes you look broad in the beam even if you are slim.

Bollocks.

Why did she say not to wear bias dresses btw?

I'm not making out anyone finds his violence acceptable, I'm sure on a conscious level, no-one does..

I do think it's worth pointing out however, that finding excuses for domestic violence is what we do in our culture and the usual way is to discredit the victim.

Our attitudes to DV are not linear, they're all mixed up. We condemn it while excusing it at the same time, which is why it's so prevalent and why abusers usually get away with it. It's why a respectable, beautiful woman with a public profile and a career to lose like Trinny Woodall, can even be seen out with a man who in a culture which didn't have this ambivalence to DV, would simply be a pariah.

There's no need for that plastic, rich housewives of Beverley Hills look. I have Botox and you can't tell. It just stops me from looking like a miserable piece of shit. I wouldn't have fillers and I don't want to look younger than I am, just to stop me frowning all the day long.

I resent Trinny because I listened to her when she said not to wear bias cut dresses when actually, I look bloody lovely in them.

I can't help thinking of them as Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker now.

I don't want to be unkind but Trinny was a lovely looking woman and the surgery she has had is awful. Her head/face is so smooth she looks like a Mrs Potato head and the eyes, nose and oversized lips have been stuck on.

Why do they do it? They don't look younger or better, just smoother, puffier and bizarre.

Trinny in that dirty car driving herself home after that depressing "date"...just seemed kinda pathetic, really. I guess T&S have been pretty washed up for a while now but surely they can do better than sharing Charles Saatchi? I feel sorry for both of them. Surely if this is publicity it can only backfire as I don't think any of us have become big T&S fans after this escapade?

noddyholder · 01/11/2013 18:14

I agree and also can't see the attraction of Trinny's get up either. I have seen her in the flesh and it was about 6 yrs ago and she has had extensive stuff done very much that american duck face look

I think Susannah looks facking dreadful. Really really bad. The jeans are horrid, the shirt is horrid, the jacket is horrid. She looks like she's been shopping in Ethel Austin.

Trinny looks ok, but just ok.

I never could understand why those two were advising other people on how to dress.

As for the hob-knobbing with CS - I think it's public image suicide to be honest. It makes them look like unsisterly abuse apologists, desperate for media attention, and it makes Trinny look so utterly desperate for a man, she will even take up with someone who was photographed physically abusing his wife in public.

Whole thing leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.
