HoC Autumns

Thought I'd start a thread for autumns as the spring and winters threads seem busy and I feel I'm missing out!

I'm an autumn leaf and going for the style day soon. I haven't bought much this year as only had colours done a couple of months ago and waiting to discover my style before spending. I have been decluttering my wardrobe quite ruthlessly as I had a lot of the wrong colours/tatty clothes.

I did buy some Kettlewell tops and have had a few compliments so I certainly believe that colour analysis works.

Unfortunately my autumn/winter coats are black but expensive so I won't be replacing them for at least a couple of years.

Any suggestions for colourful hats/scarves/gloves to lift the black? High street brands please as I can't get parcels delivered to home.

That's much more like it Hopefully. Thanks to the style day I am at peace with my best jacket shape, so getting a toile would be a good investment. Useful to have a benchmark!

I agree that Oxblood colour isn't quite right. I know that colour looks dreadful on me, makes me look really pale and sallow. But I can tell Me and Em is going to be an expensive hobby!

hopefully your dressmaker sounds fab, is there any chance you can pass me their details?

I got my petrolly Levi's from the outlet at Clarks Village, Street in Somerset. It was basically a dark indigo wash but with a much warmer, greener tinge than usual. Haven't found any on their website but will keep looking :). Also liked that they had an 'edgy' (but subtle) zip detail on the back pocket which made them a bit cooler - would suit your style actually.

I do not need another dress (need a jacket!) but the colours on this are so lovely

Don't know why it says it's 'petite' though. Perhaps that will save me from buying it (might be a little prim for my style too. But the colours!).

Charitygirl I have my eye on that dress too, I think the print is stunning - not quite sure it's right for me, though. I thought they did regular and long versions too Confused.

Thanks hopefully. It feels like a long time to wait, but I'm sure it will be worth it! I'm getting very frustrated with the black/white/greyness of maternity clothes at the moment.

This is my pinterest board for autumn clothes.

There's a further 20% off The Dressing Room clearance this weekend with the code Clear20. I got an orange Becksondergaard scarf for £13.60! And Ash Alex trainers in Clay (not perfectly Autumn I have to admit) for £60. Delivery is free so great all round. There were some poppy red skinny cords with little flowers on - great for anyone who likes small prints.

I think I'm an autumn - hoping to get my colours done soon.

From another thread, here's a lovely dress in autumn colours - berry, burgundy, cobalt, and more ...

asos dress

I have my finger hovering over the order button! Can someone tell me how asos own-brand fits? Have not ordered from them before.

I think if it's a stretchy fabric they're pretty true to size (only basing this on what I've read on other forums though).

Watching this thread with interest, as I'm autumn too - mid brown hair, dark brown eyes. I look good in brown, but have to have some pattern, not solid colour, due to scalp psoriasis.

I have no money for clothes at present, but need to get rid of lots of winter clothes and buy in suitable colours when I can afford to. Would love brown jeans.

Can autumns wear plum colours? And can I wear as much black as I like so long as it's not near my face?

Hello. I'm tentatively joining in as I suspect I might be a soft autumn. I am going to get my colours done properly soon, but I have mousy hair whichis currently dyed a dark golden blonde, I look truly hideous in black without a lot of make-up, I look best in moss green and generally wear a lot of brown, taupe and teal with mustard, olive and rust.

Schmalex love your autumn board.

Mad I've found ASOS own brand stuff pretty true to size, and surprisingly ok quality for the price too.

I am on a shopping hiatus for a few weeks (unless there is some nice loungewear in the new Hush range which comes out in a couple of days), but loving looking at everyone's Autumn links!

I haven't got very far with mine yet but here it is if anyone wants a peek
I think plum is out although I do have a warm purple in my colour swatch nkf and no black at all in theory although I do cheat!

I have never had my colours done but am pretty sure I am some kind of autumn as I have brown hair with golden highlights, hazel eyes and pale skin with a few freckles. I have always tended to wear earthy colours such as moss greens, browns. In fact last time I sorted my wardrobe out it made me chuckle how many different shades of green knitwear I had. I also wear grey a lot though and I like charcoal.
Personally I do not worry to much what colour skirts or trousers I wear. I think it is just what colour your hair, makeup, scarves, tops, dresses, coats are that are important in making you look ''well''
I found a forest green jumper in primark the other day that would have been perfect but the quality was awful. Really limp as if it had already been washed a hundred times.
White stuff have a nice top it looks grey but reviews describe it as a brown. It has lovely quirky buttons on too.

I am a bargain shopper, so forgive me for not linking to a posh item, but this has a couple of lovely autumn shades and might be cheap and easy way to transform a top that doesn't suit.

Now, will it be Linky...if not can you tell me how? Am on Android tablet.

Also loving Schmalex's pinterest board!

here is mine - it may have got a little out of hand, I need to trim it!

nkf not sure about plum - but purple is one of my double star colours, I need some more purple in my life! The oxblood reds and burgundies do nothing for me though, so I do have to be careful.

Hopefully I am also eagerly awaiting the Hush a/w range!
