God, yes, let them get it all out if they want to. The other day, I was looking back at photos of me at uni, slim, blonde anmd dewy of skin - and wearing my dad's old painting jumper that came down almost to my knees, baggy grey leggings and DMs.

I should've got my tits out more.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2006 21:32

Agree with MI but I see mostly sad unconfident looking types squeezed into these ludicrous unflattering clothes.

zoeuk1 · 04/06/2006 21:43

oh yeah, theres nothing worse than a person constantly pulling at there clothes and standing slouched over because they feel so uncomfortable in what they're wearing. especially when its too small.

zoeuk1 · 04/06/2006 21:44

that should be 'their' not 'there' i know!

Bozza · 04/06/2006 22:10

So let's get this right cod. Is your original post anti trainer socks.. or trainers... because you like cropped trousers?

LadyCodofCOdford · 04/06/2006 22:22

ghosty · 04/06/2006 22:27

What are 'trainer' socks? Are they the ones that are short and don't come above the line of the trainers? Or are you saying socks that you can see?

Bozza · 04/06/2006 22:28

So are croppeds with trainers and no trainer socks OK? Can't believe you are dissing trainers when oliveoil's bling trainer thread has caused me to buy a pair of Dunlops. I am not naturally a trainer person.

LadyCodofCOdford · 04/06/2006 22:28

well both really
youa rent supposed to eb able to see em but you always can

OP posts:
ghosty · 04/06/2006 22:31

I have some excellent ones that you can't see.
But I only wear my trainers if I am walking (I don't jog ... ) ... and I do wear them with cropped trousers but they are my exercise gear ...

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2006 22:32

Ok how about cropped trousers with trainers and ankle socks? Which is what dp was wearing in the garden this morning. I told him off.

ghosty · 04/06/2006 22:33

And when you say trainers ... do you mean proper exercise trainers or the trainer look alikes (sketchers etc)?

LadyCodofCOdford · 04/06/2006 22:36

any

Tigermoth - it's an expression of support.

Re trainer debate - all depends on the trainers and the trousers. Trainer socks essential, but most be low cut ones.

ghosty · 04/06/2006 23:14

Everyone wears trainers (either proper or the fashion ones) here in NZ and no one has heard of the word Chav ...
Those kind of small, slip on type ones I mean, not big heavy clompy things ...

southeastastra · 04/06/2006 23:31

i bet nzs great

ghosty · 05/06/2006 08:58

It is SEastra ... Grin

fullmoonfiend · 05/06/2006 18:56

Snafu - you sound like me at that age :) :(

I have to wear trainers for one of my jobs (preschool assistant) as flips flops etc are a 'health and safety' issue. So I have to wear very comfy, shoes with a bit of bounce. So unless anyone's got any better ideas, trainers it is (I have some nice suede black and grey ones - think 'labelly' trainers are incredibly naff/chav unless you are an athlete.)
