Can I hark back to the maxi dress convo, please? Not usually one for a maxi due to being vertically challenged, but found this on the extra petite blog and love it. Can anyone suggest something identical similar?

Oh I do love that coat Shop and how good is it that you have got so much wear. I am of the opinion that camel scares some people because they think they have to go all beigey-greigey neutral with it when in fact it looks so cool worn with bright clear colours.

Loewe bags and I'm thinking especially of the Flamenco are made in some great colour combinations and yes the Cabas tote also. Love the 'Souris' (Mouse) name, Linus and that flash of neon inside can be brilliant inspiration for what to wear under ones neutral or tonal winter coat.

I'll look for you Grumpy. It reminds me of an old M&S stretchy jersery dress I wore in the late 90's. It was knee length, navy and white horizontal stripe and had a slashed boat neck, short sleeves edged in navy knit. Loved it.

Lovely coat shop! I love camel but I don't think it suits me.

I love camel too. Very understated which I like.

Camel and light blue sounds gorgeous. Love all those combinations. Yes to Celine does fabulous colours.

Grumpy will have a look around.

As well as buying a pair of jeans I already have I bought
this top today for 3.99 in Gap. Only had one in my size. Can only find it on US EBay to link. Quite bright with a neon stripe. Good for slobbing around this summer. Rude not to.

I decided not to buy anything in the Matches sale but ordered this instead:

Splendid maxi skirt

I wanted it in black but they didn't have my size anymore.

Linus if you love the Marant you should go for it, I wasn't sure if you wanted to be dissuaded. Do you still fancy getting it?

Love this Phillip Lim bikini here

So pretty. Like a modern print interpretation of those 'Country Diary of an Edwardian lady' books.

I didn't mean to dissuade you either Linus. It just reminded me of those jackets we used to wear. That's not a bad thing either. I loved my jacket and wore it with my first pair of drainpipes!

That Lim bikini is gorgeous, teeny but gorgeous.

Lovely bikini! I think Ariadne Oliver in the Agatha Christie novels used to have wallpaper like that.

I think I'll sleep on the Marant jacket. If I spend that amount of money I do want something that will still look good in 5 or 10 years time.

Great colour combining chat. I was going to ask what people think of cobalt and yellow. Shop has sold me a gorgeous cobalt silk shirt and it's hanging beside this skirt in my wardrobe and I think it looks promising.
