Jumping on the coral lipstick bandwagon, I have a great one by Dainty Doll, it's slightly frosted so it indulges my secretly longing for the 90's and my silver satin trousers side Grin I bought two in one go as I heard the brand is being discontinued

Shop which CC cream is it? I wanted to buy the moisture surge CC cream but they don't sell that one here, so I went for the superdefense one and I am very impressed with it.

A couple of months ago the lady at the Chanel counter tried to sell me a coral lipstick which looked good on me, but as the weather was horrible I wasn't in the mood to buy it.

Mignonette many years ago I saw a documentary about a little old lady who handmade the braiding on Chanel jackets etc. It was fascinating to watch how she braided strand after strand on this ancient machine with her gnarled old fingers, somewhere on a old farm in the French countryside.

She was a bit of a tartar from what I can remember and wasn't taking any nonsense from the interviewer.

Foxy

Those Cargo's are well...Foxy (sorry could not resist that)...

CC is the moisture surge by Clinique - and I use the Moisture Surge cream beneath it as I have v dry skin.
If you want a sheer orangey coral that is quick to apply then this is also v good
Thanks Foxy DH has only ever apologised to me twice since we met so I'm not holding out hope but I think you're right and it's just the pressure of being pulled in all directions. And YY Mignonette your explanation as to why I can't tell RL friends is spot on!

I don't mind a bit of 90's nostalgia so long as I don't try and attempt a pair of camouflage, bootcut elasticated leggings/trousers with matching vest again Grin

Report
foxysocks · 24/06/2013 16:38

ooo one that outfit sounds right up my street Wink. i think bootcut AND camo is a step too far in the 00s Grin

coral is awful on me, i def can't join in with that chat i'm afraid

mignon they are so me, aren't they? i know DH is going to roll his eyes and send me back into topshop. I always used to get my combats from there.

shop even if you don't get the words, sometimes men (and women!) find it easier to say sorry through actions, iykwim? big hugs. x

You've all made me nostalgic for the 90s. How I loved my 501s, docs and long floaty laura Ashley skirts with lots of beads round my neck.

DS is fine shop, thanks for asking. He looks like a current bun with all his scabby spots but otherwise he's well.

DD has been having a rash on her back for the last two weeks which we thought was heat rash (it didn't seem to bother her) but tonight we noticed bigger patches so I'll call the pediatrician tomorrow.

She has been very fretful all afternoon which isn't like her. It doesn't look like chicken pox though but maybe it's something else.

I wore my beloved Jimmies today (crap weather) with the yellow breton and cobalt Gigis and I felt really stylish. I could really do with a cobalt bag but all the ones I like are £££.

And the DP navy maxi tube skirt arrived and it is lovely. I forgot who recommended it to me but thanks! I will have to wear no vpl knickers with the skirt though. Grin

I bought two Essie nail polishes I repinned from QueenC and I love them. The colours are a very autumnal/wintry so I will have to wait to wear them. Maybe by then I will have mastered the dyi manicure...

I should know better than to enter into aibu threads. I'm having to defend myself and other parents who like to do a collection. It's like the bench thread all over again Grin

I daren't go into AIBU, I've heard BAD things about that board [scared]

I used to read AIBU and it nearly put me off MN altogether, so now I don't anymore.

Go Steve Darcis!

Report
QueenCadbury · 24/06/2013 18:33

Yep one it is bad. Tbh when I typed my opinion I knew I'd get a flaming but I find it so tiresome on MN that you have to justify your spending. It sometimes feels on here that if you have money then you must also be a heartless bitch Confused

One step away from AIBU ... Unless you are very chilled and thick skinned, it's vicious.
mig good god, how are you? You poor thing, that's horrendous. Hopefully the knock on the head hasn't affected the fashion part of your brain!
