The only thing I dry clean are coats and some jackets. Everything else goes on a gentle 30 cycle. It has all survived.

& Other Stories Sale now on

ANd in other news my 7.5 snakeskin M&S flats have arrived and are super comfy - no idea why I didn't just buy them in the first place! Free listing on EBay today so am listing them, a Cath Kidston bag (sooooooo not me!) and a few other bits and bobs.

Anni I thought how great the Whistles site was to search through by type and size. I didn't go on to purchase though.....
Hope you like the quilted sweat - I love mine and layer it over my neon tee, I've worn it at least once a week for months now and it has washed well.

I now have period pain so that explains the low mood! I've just eaten my favourite pizza on the sofa for lunch. No point even trying to be good when I'm hormonal Grin.

Anyway I did my usual thing when feeling low of turning to shopping. After music class I pooped into my local favourite boutique and bought this blouse. It's so me, the dark navy looks lovely and it will be perfect for going out paired with black trousers.

Our colour pin board is looking good!

LinusDKD · 13/06/2013 13:39

Just got an e-mail from Selfridges saying that I still have some items in my basket and that I should buy them soon as otherwise 'they might get snapped up by an equally stylish shopper' Hmm Angry

I could have the items delivered to a friend in the UK but I only do that if delivery costs to where I live are ridiculously expensive or if it's something I really can't find anywhere else.

DS has been acting up as well. This is the third week in a row DH has had to travel and this week he's been gone longer than usual. He's back home around midnight tonight and I can't wait!

And my periods have started as well QueenC so I have had some Toblerone to cheer me up.

All this talk about colour boards reminds me of a person I am following on pinterest. This lady has a gazillion boards on various topics but her colour boards are a thing of beauty. Will link in a minute.

QueenCadbury · 13/06/2013 13:40

mignonette that's really interesting about the colour stuff. If it works for dementia patients perhaps I should try it with my fil. I've always had colour in my wardrobe (as well as a lot of black/grey/navy) but soft, muted tones. I'm just so into brighter colours now that I know they suit me. I would never have picked out anything in fushia or red before having my colours done but it's great what it does to both my mood and self esteem.

LinusDKD · 13/06/2013 13:43

Hope this works

Linus that's a bit much, surely it should say almost as stylish.. Or nowhere near as stylish but they'll try... if they want to flatter us Grin

Leonard Cohen that's no way to say goodbye just played on the radio, sob. So gorgeous.

MarshaBrady · 13/06/2013 14:48

I have three cashmere jumpers to deal with. Not sure how to play it. I destroyed a Stella M jumper in the wash and it's put me off my stride. Will have to do the tuck and roll, darn!

shopafrolic · 13/06/2013 15:03

Do you use laundry bags Marsha? I put them in a laundry bag, delicate detergent, hand wash cycle and the Marsha towel roll.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 13/06/2013 15:06

lol at Marsha roll Grin I always think of this thread when I watch Bolt and they say tuck and roll, tuck and what?!

I should try a laundry bag shouldn't I, could be the missing thing.

foxysocks · 13/06/2013 15:10

i don't dare machine cashmere. cool hand wash followed by the marsha roll.

I have been perusing sale bags and realised it's completely impossible for me to buy a small bag. i am inexplicably drawn to huge ones.

shopafrolic · 13/06/2013 15:19

Has anyone been watching the 30min programmes on Channel 4 this week called Dates? Really interesting characters, written by the guys who did Skins.

Having met my DH online it's been quite eye opening! :)

DH has bought me the Whistles Biker jacket in the sale - I gave him a list of possible pressies and he was searching on-line for various options this morning and spotted it was reduced and pounced!!!!

I am so happy!!!

libertychick · 13/06/2013 15:53

It's now sold out in almost every size (including mine) - the man is a genius!

MarshaBrady · 13/06/2013 16:28

Well done Liberty! Fabulous!

McNally · 13/06/2013 16:32

Ahhh, well done your DH liberty!

shopafrolic · 13/06/2013 16:33

Afternoon!Smile
linus Selfridges delivery.....rubbish
Foxy I agree with you, the sale site is rubbish too....really got my hopes up about my all time dream bag
swoon had an ok ( almost) to get it....them "this quantity is un available"!!! UPDATE the site Selfridges!
Marsha If you don't have a laundry bag just use a pillow case
QueenC it's hard, ESP when you have little ones, when DH is away, I can sympathise....... Love, love, love your new navy blouse.
Migonette v interesting about colour therapy. Whoever mentioned wearing red dresses.......I have had my most epic nights out when wearing red, make me feel invincible or is it the white wine

Out for girlie get together this evening. Will be wearing my stone leather jacket and Clarks snakeskin sandals with dark jeans and perhaps a cream lace top.

The colour combination discussion has made me realise that I'm very safe/ pragmatic.....I love brights but always wear them with neutrals. Am going to try to be braver .

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/06/2013 16:57

Thanks for the maxi dresses. Went for the Vero Moda (thanks Mignonette). At £16 it's a cheap way to see if they can suit me or not.

I hardly dare look at the sales now - Massimo Dutti started last night and I bought a few bits from there, mainly for DH though. I really have no room left in my wardrobe atm, although plans are afoot to re-model the bedroom, including super-duper storage. I'll need it for when the AW13 starts arriving!

santamarianovella · 13/06/2013 16:58

i think selfridges is still heavily relying on the instore sale and the items on the website are very limited.but that is no excuse for the shit site they haveAngry

excellent job mr liberty! fab jacket.

linus and queen i sympathize with you,DH,goes away often to M.E,and i hate it!being alone with the dcs is exhausting, specially when they start to really miss him and ask about him all the time.and i love the chocolate indulgence prior to AF,i do that too, with ice cream!

QueenCadbury · 13/06/2013 17:44

Well done to mr liberty!

Do not use a pillow case for washing delicates as things fall out of it (I am the voice of experience)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/06/2013 17:53

Fab board QueenC

foxysocks · 13/06/2013 17:59

brilliant DH liberty!

amber what were/are the issues with your rocco? would you buy again, knowing how it wears?

have looked at so many bags today, nothing quite right.
