Glad Marsha and Shop had good nights.

I've had another lovely child-free shopping trip.
I tried Shop's Jbrand's and they are divine.
Lovely and slouchy, and very soft fabric.
I left them in Selfridges though.

I did buy a neon pink tee from Gap and a faded lilac-ish one too.

Good luck Ujjaji, it all sounds fabulous.

Hope you feel better soon MrsR.

What on earth have you been up to Drywhite?
We need details :o

Hope your work thing goes ok Novice, it sounds hideously stressful.

MrsR, you asked about Yoox returns... they are free.
Delivery is sometimes free, otherwise £7 which isn't great, but there are some bargains to be had.

I also ordered a Whistles linen stripe tee from AR, after trying it in JL today, along with 3 tops I'm hoping to get in the sales... so I daren't link :o

That all sounds fab Ujjaji

I've been having a very fashion fail week as I've struggled to get dressed with the pain in my arm. Soldiering on though Grin

My bargain DKNY silk scarf makes a brilliant hair band. I'm not so keen on the short neck scarf look so the fact that it's big enough to tie round my head is an extra bonus to add to the fabulous bargain that it was Smile

Novice what a schedule!

Grumpy I love both items you ordered from the Boden preview. I had a look and there are a lot of things I like but I am saving my pennies for the sales.

Santa that MIH jacket is beautiful, I love the colours.

ujjayi your collection sounds absolutely gorgeous, can't wait for the pictures.

I have a fashion dilemma: I bought a Becksondergaard scarf a couple of weeks ago because I fell in love with the colours but I wore it yesterday for the first time and realised the colours really don't flatter me.

The main colour is a minty green with emerald green stripes on one side and lilac anchors on the other. It is soooo pretty but the colours really wash me out. What do I do? Try and wear it with colours that do flatter me or give it to a friend who might look good in it?

Poor DD still has a fever but because she still eats and drinks ok-ish I am not too worried. If she still has a fever tomorrow I might take her to the paediatrician just to have her checked out.

Sorry to hear your DD is still unwell Linus. It's always worrying when these things drag on so I hope she's feeling better tomorrow.

Ujjayi I'm impressed at the sound of your collection and reminded what a bumbling fashion novice I am!

Well done at making it to the beach today Shop, and I know what you mean about the overdressed-ness. Trust me, Essex does not have the monopoly on that one - it seems to have become a peculiarly British disease, ie everything has to be fake, fake, fake. What happened to elegance? My maternal grandmother, despite being very low on cash as a young woman, was always the epitome of elegance, usually in clothes she has made/customised herself. Never overdone, but always looked beautiful. Now it seems it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling! (You want to check out Doncaster races on a June Saturday...) Wink

Hi everyone, you are motoring through edition 12 Grin! We are back from Spain and I don't think I have ever been so glad to get back from a holiday Smile.

We had a nice day in Barcelona, a fantastic city but much more enjoyable without the DC's I have to admit (at one point when we were coaxing tantrumming exhausted DD to walk and I was carrying sleeping DS2 DH turned and said quizzically "I don't remember Barcelona being like this Grin.). You certainly can't just do the falling from bar to bar, eating and drinking the whole time, with DC's in tow...why won't they eat tapas AngryGrin...and I didn't get to shop at all Hmm.

On the upside, the weather here has been gorgeous today, we even managed to eat lunch outside with some friends that came over (finally wore the Lily Aldridge maxi). And I have an invite to the Liberty preview sale this week so something to look forward to Smile. I also bagged myself a pair of current elliot stiletto grey leopard print jeans for £50 on ebay - fingers crossed they are as good condition as promised.

Linus - I think eBay the scarf if it is wrong on you - hard to hide from a scarf colour that doesn't suit you.

santa - which MIH jacket, think I missed it?

shop - love those cargo pants.

marsha - think I may have missed the answer to this as well, what did you wear in the end?

Finally - the pic uploader seems to be working again, so there is now a photo of me - unmasked Grin - on my profile. Apologies for being so mysterious (though I did toy for a while with the idea of creating a fashion blog with me always wearing a mask Grin)

Wow, check you out sleep. Very glam and gorgeous Envy!

ujayyi how exciting it all sounds. I went to my friends show when she graduated and it was fab. By what your tutors have said I would go for it and set up your label.

linus shame about the scarf but not sure how you can make it work for you as it's next to your face. Unless you get creative and use as a belt or tie it onto your handbag (but I think you maybe need to be as cool as someone like kate moss for this to work!). Hope dd gets better soon.

Back to school tomorrow. It'll be nice to finally wear some summer clothes in the school run. I can't believe though that we finally get some sun and your all busy ordering autumn stuff Grin.

Linus definitely move the scarf on to a friend or EBay and reinvest if it's the wrong colours for you.
Sleep welcome back. Looking as beautiful as I remember you on your profile pic
Gumpy I felt overdressed in my dress and flip flops and then all these people turned up and made me feel quite casual!

My kids LOVE tapas!

Santa I sooo wanted that jacket. Why will it not pop up on the Outnet?

Just did Ripped in 30. Now enjoying undoing the hard work with a glass of fizz.

Unexciting day - went to see Hangover 3 with DH. Tickets were £10.20 each! When did the cinema get so expensive? Wore cobalt J brand 811s, grey T by A Wang muscle vest, my Lamprini style collar necklace and grey New Balance. Popped into H&M and bought a pair of neon yellow faux suede ballet flats for £4, just for schlepping about. They're quite cute.

Am massively angsting about what to wear for GFW next week - am accompanying a major British retailer so want to look good.

Oh Sleep what a beautiful picture
Novice it sounds stressful, MNV are here for you....I always have a virtual Wine and HUG to send.
Linus hope dd feels better soon. Mine is flagging...the last half term is always a killer, I think she's hit the wall.
Anni it was one of those great nights when you forget to stop drinking at 11!! Suffice to say I do vaguely recall uttering the phrase to DH " I think I love my shoes more than you" Grin I need to grow up I really do....
shop my dd asked for foundation and mascara ( secondary school makes then grow up so ft) I said no way, ESP not the orange stuff some of her (13 yr old friends) wear. Fake lashes, orange faces and plastic nails are normal now.....Sad

Good morning!

DD doesn't have a fever anymore this morning so fingers crossed it stays that way.

I am still feeling pretty grotty though but I hope the sunshine will make me feel better soon.

I think I will give the scarf to a friend because Ebay seems such a hassle. What kind of colouring looks good in mint green? I have a blonde blue-eyed friend that might look good in it.

Or maybe one of you? Who wore a mint green outfit a couple of weeks ago, I can't remember?

Morning all...

That sounds like a fab night Drywhite :o

They are lovely irl Santa, Shopbop have them in a lovely grey too, which are slightly cheaper than the khaki.

Who has the McQ scull shoes?
I saw them in Selfridges yesterday and they are fab.

All you doing the school run today, think of me with another week of half term to do
Although we are still in bed, having a cuddle which is nice.

I'm thinking of a trip to the seaside today, wearing my new neon tee.

Morning lovely ones. Sitting in the sun with a coffee, birds tweeting madly. Love the sunshine, finally!

Sleep you look incredible in the red acne dress. Love it. I get the holiday thing re children. We went to NYC a few years ago and didn't take a buggy. So silly it was freezing and ds1 didn't want to walk everywhere, he was four I think.

Anni two weeks! We only have one, ds1 is back today and just left with Dh. Always nice to see his little knees in shorts and long socks again.

Dry have fun, I'd probably snooze too.

Linus I say eBay too.

Shop I don't have any false lashes... should I buy some for the beach? :o

Sleep looks gorgeous in that photo Envy

Ds2 has just 'helped' me get ready, which included helping to put argan oil on my hair... which is now on my new pink tee :(

This is why I buy cheap Gap tee's and not the good stuff!
