moondog · 07/04/2006 23:06

Go on,what's he done?
(Mine left a hysterical message on the answer machine from Turkey today saying 'Don't spend any more money!!!')

CountessDracula · 07/04/2006 23:07

oh just been a total tosser

y'know

actually he is usually ok I think he is stressed about work/poss new job etc but I wish he would piss off somewhere for a week and sort his head out.

moondog · 07/04/2006 23:09

I know that mine will start interfering the minute he returns tomorrow (5 week stint away)
Will rearrange the fridge,food cupboards,paeprwork..everything.

I like it that he's organised but sometimes it's a bit much.
He's been away so long (5 years) that I seriously doubt we could be together f/t again.
Grin

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:10

moondog · 07/04/2006 23:12

Getting addled in old age.

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:12

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:14

I really want DP to think I'm leaving him, or get scared that I just could anyway! evil Grin (i'm a bit tipsy sroory.)

OP posts:
moondog · 07/04/2006 23:16

Nowt wrong with letting them know they have competition in my opinion.
A bloke in the gym asked me out for a drink t'other day.
I nearly fell off the Stairmaster.

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:16

Did I say it was my birthday today? Stiull 40 mins left!

OP posts:
moondog · 07/04/2006 23:17

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:21

Hmmm, DP sulking though did buy me fair trade roses..showed a modicum of thought even though we're sniping at the mo. But yes, 3 whishy and cokes and I must now get to bed before I capsize off my ergonomic chair. Thanks for asking BTW..wonky Grin

monkeytrousers · 07/04/2006 23:22

motherinferior · 08/04/2006 15:51

Oh honey, how are you?

I have been drinking. Not masses, but drinking. In my defence, yesterday we went to see my parents for lunch and a certain amount of self-medication is somewhat mandatory for me under those circumstances. And I had a lie in this morning instead of going swimming, AND two glasses of wine at lunchtime (DP's brother was here) AND pudding, yesterday AND today, AND chocolate, AND I am going out to dinner chez a friend armed with a bottle of pink fizz...

..oh, soddit. I am at least smothered in so much Liz Earle factor 15 that I look quite ill. And my jeans are pretty loose.

Need some more jeans...

Blackduck · 08/04/2006 16:08

I too will confess to partaking of the vino - BUT and its a big BUT we didn't finish the second bottle (we didn't even come close which is amazing in this house...) so I kind of feel we have both improved! Ate well too ..
MI enjoy you night out...

TaiTai · 08/04/2006 17:15

I've also been on the plonk, but it was my wedding anniversary yesterday and we went away for the first time without dd. Was great Grin Had two bottles of champagne (btw us), a beer and a champagne cocktail. Off tonight for reunion with friends from school I haven't seen for over fifteen years until I bumped into one of them the other week. Bit nervous. Friend who is hosting is tall and blonde and very thin and works for a very famous design house. I am four stone heavier than since they last saw me, don't work anymore - used to have a good job, now i deal in nappies and dribble - and feel very unglamourous. Sad

Blackduck · 08/04/2006 17:21

TT don't put yourself down! You don't know how many of those those thin glamorous women really want to deal in dribble and nappies Grin

monkeytrousers · 08/04/2006 17:23

I'm fine MI, you have a good time tonight. No really, things are leveling out here, crisis over. I even got a foot rub!

As for food, brekkie was 2 brown multigrain toast with low fat Flora, lunch was a kind of rattattoui concoction on toast (BM again) and I've just had a bowl of very thick homemade minestrone with quinoa in it instead of pasta - very filling it was too!

Going to try and stick to two units of alcohol a day (whisky and diet caffeine free coke)

OP posts:
monkeytrousers · 08/04/2006 17:24

oh, and I did a 100 sit ups and walked to the shop (does that count?)

OP posts:
motherinferior · 09/04/2006 12:16

How do you get this Liz Earle stuff to stop looking spooky?

Drank wine yesterday. Feel lousy today. And I didn't even drink that much, certainly by my standards of not very long ago. Am embracing prospect of renunciation. Am joyless Puritan. Oh bugger.

Blackduck · 09/04/2006 12:49

Mi - likewise...had a few last night and would like to go back to bed and die (in peace preferably) - am actually contemplating complete abstance......can I join the Puritan clan??

Blackduck · 09/04/2006 12:49

and can't spell...abstanence....??
