Moonshine, hope all is well with your dh tomorrow. Ah well, managed yesterday without wine but had 3 glasses tonight Blush, but am off to bed in not too bad a mood all things considered. Had one of those days in court today when I focus on how lucky I am to to have the advantages I have, and that helps to keep any black moods in perspective. As I have said before, tomorrow is another day so Will Try Harder. Am taking ds1 and ds2 to London to China exhibition followed by being dragged around the Apple Store so will feel HUGELY virtuous by the end.....Wink

moonshine · 11/04/2006 23:13

Thanks Callmemadam. Hopefully the cardiologist will at least stop him speculating wildly on what it is. I too have had a couple of glasses of wine but dh assures me it's ok because the bottle cost more than £4.99 Shock. Am I now the naughty girl on the thread who is still not going to bed??

TaiTai · 12/04/2006 11:16

You're not the only one. I went to bed at 11:15 last night, usually it's way past 12:30am Blush I was hoping being a parent would cure me of some of my night-owl ways, but it hasn't.

winnie · 12/04/2006 12:32

Am doing ok but still the exercise is missing Angry with self. Also I didn't drink enough water yesterday for the first time in weeks and weeks and today I feel very dehydrated.

yo-yo I really am Envy and wish I could face a full body massage but feel I really should start with something like reflexology in order to save my blushes and the sensibilities of the masseusse sp? Grin
Moonshine, I too am beginning to panic about packing winter clothes away ...

suzywong · 12/04/2006 15:09

Hello everyone

I am going to pass on a toptastic tip
ready

Honey as a face mask

The thick clear stuff. Spread it on a clean face, do 45 minutes of pilates have a hot shower (pluck your eyebrows, trim your Mo or whatever) and drink 500mls of water. It leave the skin very clear and tight and smooth

moonshine · 12/04/2006 16:34

Winnie - you, me and Moondog - how's the head today btw MDWink.

Suzywong - I am a sugar addict and would probably lick most of the honey off in a trice. I also think a sandblaster would be more beneficial to my skin atm - I am a prisoner of my hormones.

I have finally put my rebounder together and have managed to wrestle the children off briefly - and 'tis fun. I shall try and put in some serious bouncing time tonight and work off a few brownie crumbs (dd insisted on making them and I 'accidently' hoovered some up - oops!).

moondog · 12/04/2006 18:00

Ooh suffering girls,suffering.
I'm mortified. Didn't even drink that much (2 Margaritas,1/2 bottle white wine and a glass of pudding wine (oh yeah, and two fags)

Had to go to bed this afternoon.

cod · 12/04/2006 18:00

suzywong · 13/04/2006 03:20

Blackduck · 13/04/2006 06:25

Oh MD - thats cos you have been so good - tolerance has decreased.....Grin.

I've noticed my PMT has significantly decreased and no water retention!!

monkeytrousers · 13/04/2006 08:11

Did 2k on the cross trainer last night, loads of kegels Wink, 100 sit ups and 20 press ups. Finally!

TaiTai · 13/04/2006 10:24

ran yesterday but then had a bit of a chocolate binge. was organic chocolate, mind Wink

suzywong · 13/04/2006 10:37

Manly slaps on all backs, jolly good show

winnie · 13/04/2006 12:05

Started the day with an exercise session ... yeah :)

Moondog · 13/04/2006 15:21

Still ill today. Sad
Mind you,had my St Tropez.
It was worth it for the exfoliation alone and Leeza's stories re applying fake tan to men's hairy backs.
One comes out looking like one has been cavorting in mud at Glastonbury.
Didn't stop me from stopping off at Laura Ashley on the way home to buy paint.I've long ago worked out that noone is looking at me.

Salmon and chickpea salad tonight and an early morning trip to the gym tomorrow if recovered.
Off to Turkey on Sunday so will continue reporting from the wilds of Kurdistan.
Will be gymning it with a plethora of Mustafas,Orhans and Mevluts which will be quite a laugh I am sure.
Will also have to steer clear of divine but v v v fattening Turkish food too. Groan!!!
I think those two Hairy Biker cooks on tv will be in Van (our city) next week. BBC2 on Tuesday nihts.

winnie · 13/04/2006 15:30

sorry you ar estill feeling cr*p MD. Hope you are feeling better soon & glad it didn't put you off your ST Tropaz Grin

Moondog · 13/04/2006 15:31

Thank you W.
I have noone to blame but myself of course. Grin

suzywong · 13/04/2006 15:32

are the chickpeas not too firm a foil for the salmon?
The combination is puzzling me

winnie · 13/04/2006 15:33

like others have said once you stop/cut down the alcohol ones resistance is low... so it's a good sign ... honest :)

Moondog · 13/04/2006 15:33

lol lol lol
Perhaps, but am thinking in a salad with oven roasted courgettes and cherry tomatoes, herbs and my infamous Van cheese.

It is also a case of emptying the fridge as am away for a month.

suzywong · 13/04/2006 15:34

so no to salmon with chicpeas then, it is worrying me tbh

Moondog · 13/04/2006 15:36

Dh turned to me this morning when I told him I was still feeling rough and (with genuine concern and horror on his face) said
'Oh my God!! Perhaps you've become allergic to alcohol. Oh no,poor you, that would be bloody awful for you!'

Maybe I am becoming like Asians, unable to tolerate booze at all. My Korean bil goes gaga and all red after a beer. What about your dh SW??

suzywong · 13/04/2006 15:37

yep same here, starts going crimson from the neck up but he does have the occaisional whisky and ginger, never gets pissed though, ever

what exactly were you drinking

Moondog · 13/04/2006 17:09

Margaritas
V v v strong ones I fear.

winnie · 13/04/2006 20:30

I foresee this thread lacking posts in the next four days Grin
