For anyone else thinking of ordering it, you can get Shred and Ripped in 30 on you tube. Ripped in 30 is a killer Smile

chicaguapa · 10/07/2012 13:05

Have to say that after only 2 days, my abs feel great! Outside they are still invisible to the naked eye, but inside they feel tighter. Amazingly motivating as it gives you a taste of what's to come.

No pain in my legs yet though, am I not squatting low enough or is that on the next level?

Am also developing a deep hatred for jumping jacks!

AllPastYears · 10/07/2012 13:27

Was bored after 2min today, but dug out the Violent Femmes as a soundtrack. Haven't played it in ages, and it turned out to be strangely appropriate. "It's gonna rain, it's gonna rain...."

Day 3 and only stopped twice this time, including just once on the last abs exercise! Definitely improving. Funny how I think I can't go on at the end of the first circuit, but then seem to get a new lease of life (though that is somewhat exagerating!)

I like the abs work as I get to lie down. Grin

AllPastYears · 10/07/2012 22:47

Yeah, I joke about lying down to my DD in the abs section. I find the weights the hardest though (weedy arms).

The Violent Femmes must have got me going today more than Jillian's "jeans shopping" commentary usually does - my bum is feeling a bit sore!

bellabelly · 12/07/2012 22:55

Day 4...Ow, my poor knees! Am doing very slightly better, I think. Even doing the (easy version) press-ups now. Not doing them well but doing them at all seemed like a crazy idea on Day1. Going to try to keep going over the weekend so I don't get out of practice but finding time will be tough I think.

Meggles76 · 13/07/2012 06:28

Though I would report back. As I said earlier in this thread, am doing combination of shred and running.
Been doing it for just over 2 weeks now. I am a regular runner. Have lost 2lbs. Don't need to really lose weight as am 5ft and now weigh 7stone 7. The greatest is how toned I feel. Especially in the abs and arms.
Yesterday another mum grabbed my leg in awe of my new firmness Grin

mrsmoodypants · 13/07/2012 07:08

Ordered mine on express delivery. I'm scared already :)

shufflebum · 13/07/2012 08:16

Gillian screwed my knees up, does anyone have any similar DVDs that they use (short and intense) that won't cripple me?!

Pinot4Pattykins · 13/07/2012 09:02

same here shufflebum - 6 months later I still have pain Angry

Pinot I'd say my knees took a good few months to recover. Such a shame as I really enjoyed it.

TheHumancatapult · 14/07/2012 08:36

Shufflebum

Try DDP yoga . Tones and your become flexiable mo weights used . I do modified version due to being in a wheelchair but have noticed difference in my upper body and have other friends who doing it to

GrassIsntGreener · 14/07/2012 09:44

The effect on my arms and bum were so noticeable. I just did it from my laptop each morning while dd watched milkshake or whatever! Grin

It's a good warm up indeed before the Insanity

Wink

Meggles76 · 15/07/2012 13:14

I attempted level 3 the other day. The cardio stuff was fine but some of the strength moves left me shrieking in agony (with DH looking on laughing). Think I will alternate between level 2 and 3. May also need to get heavier weights. Have been using 1kg ones. Maybe need 2kg ones??

Astr0naut · 16/07/2012 10:23

How many days do you do it for? I'm tight, so looking at the internet. I've got a baby belly to lose by SEptember, so I reckon I can use the summer holidays, while I'm off.

Is there an 'end' to it? Or do you just do it forever?

notyummy · 16/07/2012 10:32

30 days Astronaut- some people do it everyday, others 5/6 days a week. You can either restart it with heavier weights once you have done it once, or try another one of her DVDs. She has quite a few good ones.

BovrilonToast · 16/07/2012 11:26

You lot made me buy this. I hate exercise.

I LOVE the Shred though. I'm actually looking forward to doing it when I get home!

I love the fact that you know once you've done the first round of cardio - nothing is going to hurt as much as that!

Astr0naut · 16/07/2012 11:36

Thanks not. I had a go this morning and worked up quite sweat. Dreading having to do it at times when Dh is round though, because he will rip the piss something rrotten.

cocolepew · 16/07/2012 11:39

I'm wore out just reading this thread Shock

chicaguapa · 16/07/2012 13:12

I did day 6 last night and now thinking about moving up to level 2. The first circuit is a killer, but once that's out of the way, I can cope with the rest. Though the side lunges with the bicep curl are hard work.

My thighs are amazing, they definitely feel much more toned. I can feel muscle definition in my arms and my abs feel great (still only on the inside). Though I don't seem to have got any smaller/ thinner and have only lost 2lbs. Though in just one session I lost 1% in my body fat (according to my magic scales).

Does anyone know if the other levels address other areas? I would like to start seeing a difference in my bum and tum soon. Grin
