Have been told I need to wear a suit to a course next week. Have a black single breasted jacket that is shortish. Have a pair of black trousers which don't match exactly - should I just wear the jacket with a longish pencil skirt which is a black and white tweedy (god that sounds vile and it isn't) skirt instead?

Can't afford to shell out for a new suit.

I'm so crap with work clothes?

need to look decent cos going with stick thin bitchy cow who i work with - wish i was a kept woman and spent all my money on clothes and boots!!! (Sorry slapping myself for being bitchy) she'll go on and on if i get it wrong!

MT - M&S shoes are brilliant, perfect - but got a size too big so got to exchange. The good thing is they are actually dark brown - they look lighter on the web and I was worried they'd be too 'caramel' coloured for my outfit. So chuffed when they arrived and were dark brown! Perfecto!

Also ordered some from Asos and they are nasty horrible cheap crap - going straight back! That'll teach me to try and buy cheap!

I am desparate for a pair of skinny jeans, I need them tomorrow, anything up to £100 and need to look nice with a pair of dark brown boots, so preferably blue or inidigo demin.
