Come in, come in, we have gloriously sarcastic and opinionated staff waiting to serve you. Malory will never know as I have it on the best authority she is safely away for the week.

Who's first?

Mercy · 10/02/2006 20:50

Where's GDG then?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:51

mesh godet skirt PC?

motherfunkerhunkermunker · 10/02/2006 20:53

HC, very nice choices - love the trophy neck top. Bit scared it'll play merry hell with people's eyes, but what the heck - they'll deserve that for trying to ogle my norks while feeding DS2 Am not skinny enough for short skirts or culottes (last wore those when I was about 9...) - I wouldn't inflict my legs on the world

Enid, I will join you in coveting those boots.

Actually, that leads me onto another subject. Shoes. I can NEVER find any to fit me. One foot half a size smaller than the other and they're bony as a bony thing so there's no "podge" to hold shoes on. I usually wear boots or trainers [ashamed] I wore silk boots to get married in...!

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:54

Galaxy dress PC? v this season and would suit your figure

PeachyClair · 10/02/2006 20:54

That's tempting

And I can cadge a discount on Monsoon, Sister's sil is a manager in one.

Now, what shoes? My feet are size 6, they were a seven but shrank when I did (which is why I have to buy more clothes- keep shrinking you see)

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:56

hunker - dd2 loves to look at my small print top when she's latched on - it makes her LARF...

PeachyClair · 10/02/2006 20:56

That dress is nice too- I'm in M&S tomorrow, will try it on.

Decisions, decisions!!!!!!

DH unfortunately likes the chavvy 18 year old skirt up her arse look, so no luck there!!!!

Hmmmm.

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:58

I LURVE these SHOES....

flutterbee · 10/02/2006 20:59

OK then you lot, what would you suggest for those of us that can only usually shop in Evans

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 21:01

monsoon goes up to bigger sizes and is great for those with pneaumatic figures
also East?
have you tried H&M Big and Beautiful?

flutterbee · 10/02/2006 21:03

No I didn't know that h and m went big

Enid · 10/02/2006 21:05

I have some very like that hc except with an ankle strap

I bought them a couple of years ago PURELY because they are black but inside the sole is bright silver

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 21:05

yes they do and they are cut MUCH more flatteringly than Evans
can't stand Evans tbh

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 21:06

they would be better with an ankle strap enid I think

flutterbee · 10/02/2006 21:06

Oooh I shall have to have a look then, thank-you

motherfunkerhunkermunker · 10/02/2006 21:06

HC, I'd fall over spectacularly in those shoes. Every now and then, my right foot gives way and I stand on the top of it (really) - and it bloody hurts!

I can wear boots with little heels, but not shoes - I have to grip with my toes to keep them on and it makes walking very hard. Oh bloody hell, I sound like a shoe-incompetent mentalist now

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 21:07

got to go and write an essay
i will leave you with Enid and the Absent Franny....

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 21:09

hinker hmmm what sort would you like?
wedges?
to go with what outfit?
(those shoes for PC btw)

Enid · 10/02/2006 21:10

no not me am signing off

desperate housewives and a mug of horlicks beckon (dh away)

motherfunkerhunkermunker · 10/02/2006 21:12

Really have no idea, HC

They're to be everyday-type shoes - I am living in the most ridiculous trainers atm and it's getting embarrassing. Even met MNers wearing them yesterday - fortunately had had the foresight to pack DS2 into a sling so they didn't notice my footwear...!

SorenLorensen · 10/02/2006 21:17

Any suggestions for a woman whose size 12 clothes are getting decidedly tight but can't seem to get her arse in gear to diet (and is, at this very moment, waiting for dh to return with a takeaway curry)? I refuse to buy anything in a size 14, having sold on ebay/given to charity all my size 14 (and above) clothes after I lost 3 stone...

Where has my willpower gone? Who's got it? I demand to know!

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 21:35

Ooh HC what are you doing having a shop, it's Malory that has a shop you know, she will be cross

So did you see my blue trouser conundrum the other day, they are still in the back of my wardrobe.
