I have been reading .....

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1156122-Project-Princess/AllOnOnePage

Fab thread and so inspiring!

Is anyone still doing this?

I am trying to add in the good habits from the thread into my life and wondered how well all the posters had done in their changes?

  1. 8 glasses of water a day
  2. Exfoliate
  3. Use teeth whitener
  4. Use anti-aging face cream
  5. Intensive nail care (feet and hands)
  6. Use eyelash growth serum OR eye cream.
  7. The Shred / other intensive exercise
  8. At least 2 extra fruit & veg
  9. Healthy breakfast daily
10. Hair oil (moroccan hair oil for eg, or kerastase etc) 11. No alcohol during the week 12. Daily vitamins 13. Body brushing 14. At least 2 servings of salmon or other fatty fish per week. 15. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM. 16. Regular hair removal 17. Give up one naughty favourite item e.g. chocolate/crisps 18. No more fizzy drinks 19. DAILY body moisturising 20. Warm water with lemon first thing in the a.m.

I NEED to get back in to this! Just reading Top Sante and it has "countdown to fabulous!" in it - that is kind of what I want. That glowy, healthy, glamorous and groomed look.

I've been doing this, of sorts. Need to drink more water but I've been following the rest. I have to say that I do feel a bit better for it, my hair is a lot shinier thanks to the Moroccan oil and the Rapidlash works!

I just want to say a big thank you to whoever recommend sudocream as a face mask- it is awesome! Smile

BrokenBananaTantrum · 03/12/2011 07:23

I want to try this. Sounds hard work tho. How long does this all take in a day?

blobtobetter · 03/12/2011 20:51

It doesn't take long really - I try to do more than one thing at once.

Exercise probably needs the most time!

I'm still princessing - just not been posting much, Had a lovely pampering afternoon yesterday...

It was me me me me who recommended the Sudocream facemask!!! I'm sooo glad you love it. People always think I'm a bit mad with my dettol baths and my funny facemasks!!!

catinboots · 04/12/2011 10:30

Oh - and I think my rapid las is starting to work Xmas Grin

catinboots · 16/12/2011 20:11

Hi Princesses!

I know we're all so busy with Christmas, DCs, work etc so no one has probably had much time to report in.

I'm still trying to keep things going. I hope some of you are too??

I was wondering if we should turn this thread into a sort-of recommendation/tips/hints thread??

I can't post on my lack of progress reguarly, but would be keen to share/hear any new tips/tricks anyone is trying???

I've got to say, I'm sure my Rapid Lash is working. My eyelashes were annihalited (sp?) after having extensions for my wedding and I think they look so much better. I ran out of my usual Mx Factor Masterpiece mascara at the weekend so bought their false lash effect one instead. I'm quite impressed.

Being an avid botoxer - I'm not a big believer of expensive skin creams so I'm always looking for something cheap, effective and sensitive. A colleague recommended this baby moisturiser which is thicker than baby lotion but not greasy. My skin feels the softest and clearest it has in ages! (after just two weeks)

Hope you're all still out there

cat xx

Me me!

sunshineoutdoors · 28/12/2011 19:14

Yes, I started then gave up, not sure why, I was feeling great. Got some lovely body shop mango body butter for Christmas to restart the intensive moisturising.

Am def in, and need to be, see my new thread! Where do I get eyelash serum?
Also does anyone know what can help thicken eyebrows? Is it castor oil?

I don't think I can do it Sad

I have the best of intentions and know it will make me feel and look great but... I wake up in the morning and have a big cup of tea, I let my legs get a bit hairy before I epilate, my nails look awful, I don't moisturise as much as I should, etc.

Think I'm going to have to accept I will never be a princess!

Although this thread has prompted me to do teeth whitening, get my eyebrows sorted, drink slightly more water and think about moisturising more often, so for that, princessing thread, I thank you.

earlgrey I have talked about my new eyebrows on the other thread.

I may keep checking in here for the tips if that's ok, I just don't want to set my self up for disappointment for a while again.

sunshineoutdoors · 04/01/2012 10:20

Sorry earlgrey it wasn't your thread but it's called thicker eyebrows - magic potion

BlackSwan · 04/01/2012 16:48

Lucewheel - at your suggestion, there is now a new thread in Style & Beauty. Let Princess Project 2012 begin!
