I have been reading .....

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1156122-Project-Princess/AllOnOnePage

Fab thread and so inspiring!

Is anyone still doing this?

I am trying to add in the good habits from the thread into my life and wondered how well all the posters had done in their changes?

Got Rapidlash and Dettol (lavender and orange oil "flavour" one). Also got Johnson's baby oil, i have sudocrem, planning a big tub with lots of work to do. Have been working on my arms with dumbells of 5kg for a few weeks and biceps are nicely shaping up!

architien · 02/11/2011 19:14

Shant be fake tanning. I'd be afraid of the results and I like my skin colour as it is.

  1. 8 glasses of water a day- at three from one Shock
  1. Exfoliate - Hoping DH will be home before 9pm tonight so I can get some time off call children duty
  1. Use teeth whitener - got box of the whitestripes yesterday and tried a pair, managed 10 minutes before I thought I was going to choke .I'm a newbie at this and will try tonight
  1. Use anti-aging face cream - I'm using my usual olive oil, rose oil and lavender oil
  1. Intensive nail care (feet and hands) will do a pedicure some time soon done maincure
  1. Use eyelash growth serum OR eye cream. Must admit I dont like the idea of eyelash serum
  1. The Shred / other intensive exercise - need to really need to just knackered and cluster feeding
  1. At least 2 extra fruit & veg - bought extra & chomping through
  1. Healthy breakfast daily. I'm almost doing this every day
  1. Hair oil Yes did Argan oil and it's luffly :)

  2. No alcohol during the week Never really do (cluster feeding ref)

  3. Daily vitamins Yes taking Vitabiotics breastfeeding ones which include omega 3 actually feel quite good with them

  4. Body brushing - done today will again

  5. At least 2 servings of salmon or other fatty fish per week. Have plans

  6. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM. If the milk vampire child baby lets me!

  7. Regular hair removal. Started today and booked threading for eyebrows

  8. Give up one naughty favourite item e.g. chocolate/crisps I've given up coffee

  9. No more fizzy drinks :( ok

  10. DAILY body moisturising forgot, must try harder

  11. Warm water with lemon first thing in the a.m. Yes and I love it :D

mathanxiety · 02/11/2011 19:18

Me neither with the fake tan. I would frighten people.

Is tonic water ok for the fizzy drinks?

beatenbyayellowteacup · 02/11/2011 21:07

oh architien I tried the same with the whitestrips last night! I thought I was going to choke and kept drying out my mouth with tissues. Lasted 20 minutes but only the top. I can't do top and bottom at once.

Is there a trick to using those things??!

Anybody?!

frutilla · 02/11/2011 21:19

I have a cool whitening kit from US that comes with a handheld laser thingy. It works but I use it sparingly in case they find out in 10years that it does something bad.

Have been doing "oil pulling" every morning, google it if you're interested, www.oilpulling.com is one site. Makes me feel great, less groggy and supposed to detox.

Have detox foot pads, I like these though many say they don't work. Will use them tonight again.

Used talika lipocils for eyelashes today.

Need to drink more water though. Always seems to have a teabag in it these days! Jealous of friend I just saw (guy!!), he's had botox and I can't as b'feeding....

BlackSwan · 02/11/2011 22:07

OMG I had the most shameful lapse - takeaway Chinese, for the first time in months... I didn't think about the project until my stomach was achingly full of greasy chilli meaty flavours. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Frutilla, I'm sure the cool gadgety thing from the US is FDA approved, right?? But the oil pulling is a step too far for me. [swishy oil pulling face emoticon] :)

DrunkenDaisy · 03/11/2011 11:37

I had salmon and salad last night, and today..... I have joined a gym!! I have joined for the pool only though not the other scary bits. my theory is that if I pay monthly, then I have to go twice a week to make it worthwhile.

I have a question about the Crest 3D strips: I have bought and tried this once, but it says on the packet to only leave it on for 5 mins. people up thread, have been leaving their strips on for longer; is this ok?

Snapespeare · 03/11/2011 13:33

hello all - water on the go, had my vitamins this morning, shower with exfoiliating gloves. Muesli and fruit/yoghurt for breakfast and chicken salad for lunch. white strips!

had far too much wine last night though. :(

there rae different types of white strips with varying degrees of peroxide content. I have 3D, which says 5 mins, butr I left mine on for ten minutes this morning (was on the phone..) I think if you have sensitive teeth or it's a first time use or it's the first few days of a course, you might be better sticking to the 5 mins. :)

DrunkenDaisy · 03/11/2011 13:42

ok cheers.

I also had too much wine last night so don't worry. And I had some chocolate orange.

ForwardOcho · 03/11/2011 15:12

I will be working on this nasty project plan for the next two weeks, so expect lots of updates - not least to remind myself that I know how to write words and sentences and stuff. Am liking everyone's approach to this project - something is better than nothing at all and no-one is perfect.
Went spinning last night and drank whole bottle of water whilst on bike. Refused DH's offer of wine with dinner on return home, but accepted his offer of chocolate.....
Went to TESCO this lunchtime for Sudocreme - they didn't have Dettol so I got Savlon liquid. Hope that is OK? Need to visit last thread again for instructions for sudocreme face mask.

Put tooth trays in mouth this morning whilst I moisturised (legs only) and changed the sheets and oh dear - made cookies. Kept trays in for a whole hour and so far have only eaten two cookies....................

HellonHeels · 03/11/2011 15:27

Ocho did you manage to eat a cookie while the trays were in? Grin

I have to report that even though I'm a lot more slack than the rest of you princessers, the moisturising is having an really amazing effect. I am not a fan of moisturiser, hate the greasy feel but my skin does feel a lot more soft and smooth.

Had eyebrows threaded yesterday and managed 30 lengths of the pool which I would definitely NOT have bothered doing without the support from this thread!

What is body brushing? Is it dry skin brushing with a bristle brush? Do I do that on top of the body exfoliating? (Does it really make a difference?)

ForwardOcho · 03/11/2011 15:38

Hellon must admit that trays are very good deterrent from licking spatulas & spoons when baking. Only baked to get rid of mistake porridge oats. Body brushing is supposed to be an anti cellulite thing - stimulates circulation. Use a soft dry brush and brush whole body, upwards, towards the heart. Dunno if it gets rid of cellulite - I prefer poor lighting for that - but I'm sure that tingling must do something.

Hi

Just checking in before I go to sleep.

Today I have given myself a mini manicure, drink 1 1/2 water, ordered rapid lash, body brushed, all over moisturised and used all my potions and face creams.

Oh, I also took my vitamins and had 4 portions of fruit and veg (not enough, I know!)

I did have 1 bottle of cider and a Turkish delight however, but hey! A little treat now and again isn't the worst thing ever Wink and I did get iD'd when buying the cider in tesco (I'm nearly 29) so maybe it ispaying off already Grin

Is it reallysad that I can't wait for my tooth whitening strips, hair oil and rapid lash to arrive? [impatient]

IwoulddoPachacuti · 04/11/2011 00:38

Sorry for crap typing, I'm on my phone!

brokenlady · 04/11/2011 07:25

Is it too late for me to join
I have had a fairly torrid year and am just starting to emerge from it but my self confidence and self esteem are shot. This could be just what I need to get back on track!
I will try to
1 eat breakfast EVERY day
2 start the day with hot water and lemon
3 drink 8 glasses of water
4 2 Portions of oily fish per week
5 no fizzy drinks
6 no sweets
7 moisturise daily
8 nails neat short and painted
9 eyebrows threaded
10 use deep conditioner on hair

Snapespeare · 04/11/2011 09:02

stumbling along here.

ok with the water, skipped breakfast today due to lack of time, but had my vitamins, forgot my crest white strips ( I normally sit at my desk with them on and avoid talking to people. :) MUST go to the gym today (haven't been all week) & make a dental appointment for a dodgy tooth, food intake has been fairly healthy...ish and wine consumption significantly down.

Looking forwarsd to my saturday morning dettol bath, defuzz and deep cleanse. :)

BlackSwan · 04/11/2011 09:52

brokenlady, never too late to start!

I have to add a new one to my list. No clenching teeth. According to my dentist I'm wearing them away... such a bad habit. I redeemed myself yesterday with a big sushi lunch on top of some forced grooming.

Loving the new ionic hairdryer. If you have frizzy hair I highly highly recommend one. Cuts drying time and achieves a smoother result.

Feeling slick with moisturiser. Must not eat any of the cheesecake I baked for guests today. Well, just a teensy slice.

DrunkenDaisy · 04/11/2011 09:52

I cracked last night and had a packet of smokey bacon crisps. But I'm going to my new gym for the first time tonight - hooray!

Snapespeare · 04/11/2011 14:52

Just been to the gym. Have now lost 20lbs since cutting out bread, pasta and spuds, going to the gym and trying to be a bit healthier. :) this has been in around 2 months, so well-chuffed! :)

off to white strip!

blobtobetter · 04/11/2011 20:34

Eeeeek = work Christmas party on 10th December!

How much weight / many inches lost would be reasonable between now and then?

Liz Earle stuff arrived - really like it!

Am doing the 3 day Perricone diet starting tomorrow. Went shopping and it cost me a fortune just for those 3 days worth of food. And I tried to do cheaper options!! Depending on how I get on I might stick with the Perricone style diet.

Panicking about the party already! I work with girls who are somehow permanently glammed up and party ready. I am worried that A WHOLE MONTH isn't enough time!!

OP posts:
BlackSwan · 04/11/2011 20:40

That's so cool blob - hope you enjoy the 3 day diet! Melon , salmon, blueberries & egg white omelette here you come!

You're inspiring me to give it a go again.
A month is plenty of time incidentally.

blobtobetter · 04/11/2011 20:43

Couldn't believe how expensive it was! Almost £40 for food for 3 days just for me!!

Hoping I will look young and refreshed!

Do you lose weight on it?

OP posts:
catinboots · 04/11/2011 20:51

What is this 3 day diet?? Tell me more Grin

BlackSwan · 04/11/2011 20:56

Snack
1 apple
2 oz. slice of turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt
Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds

Dinner
